We booked a DJ and month of coordinator and were wow’d. Our DJ, Chris Laing, was extremely professional in the way he led our introductory and timeline calls. He truly listened to what kind of vibe we wanted for our wedding and executed it perfectly. In the words of my husband, friends, and family, our wedding was lit! Our coordinator Becca Manning was very kind on our introduction call. Unfortunately, there was an error in the system and she was double booked but she found us the most amazing coordinator, Nikki Clark. Black Tie worked to get Nikki into their system so there was minimal impact to my husband and I plus we adored working with Nikki. “My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Having a band play our Northern Virginia wedding was very important to us. We found Bachelor Boys on Instagram and relished their vibe from the get-go. They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys!”

“James and his Born To DJ team were fantastic! They are so organized with their app and platform, making communication and details a breeze. All of our guests have continued to comment on how great the music was and what a wonderful job our DJ team did. We had quite a varied crowd at our wedding; different ages, different nationalities and lots of different genres. Somehow the DJ managed to please them all and I can honestly say our dance floor was never empty! We had a long, 7 hour, recepetion, and the DJ never missed a beat! “I don’t have enough good things to say about DJ Obehi! As a professional dancer, obviously I’m a firm believer that the DJ can make or break a dance floor, and DJ Obehi absolutely MADE IT! Not only did he pick out music for our dance floor that was so specific and special to us, but he also was an amazing MC throughout the day. He absolutely brought the energy up! The whole process of booking with him was so smooth and easy, and he definitely has an amazing reputation out there - even the ABC license people had heard of him and told me he was the best and they were jealous! We even had a piñata at our wedding, and DJ Obehi was so game with our song and introducing it - he even threw me the bat! All of our guests absolutely LOVED Obehi. Hire him - you won’t regret it!”

The “dancing on the clouds” feature was such a magical touch for our night sky themed wedding—it made our first dance feel truly unforgettable. We also booked the "retro" photo booth which was a huge hit! Our guests were using it all night long with help from the lovely Shelby. You absolutely NEED this photo booth at your wedding—it’s such a fun experience and an amazing keepsake! We had the best time looking through all the photos afterward. A special shout-out to District Harmony for performing during our ceremony and cocktail hour- they were fantastic! Walking down the aisle to their rendition of “Merry-Go-Round of Life” was a dream come true. Everyone commented on how great they sounded. They were the perfect addition to our day!”

“We absolutely loved working with Carol and Joey. They are an amazing husband and wife wedding team. We hired them just a month before our wedding when we realized we needed an MC, and we ended up adding Carol for day-of coordinating too. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Carol met with Haley (the bride) multiple times a week leading up to the wedding to make sure every detail was covered. She has such a positive, calming spirit, and she brought a sense of relief even before the big day. That alone was priceless. She also took the time to really get to know our families and friends, which helped everything run so naturally and smoothly. On the wedding day, we had two pretty major and time-sensitive vendor shortfalls, and Carol handled both effortlessly. She kept everything under control without involving the bride and groom and was incredible at delegating tasks to the right people to make sure everything got done. She showed up fully prepared, emergency kit and all, and saved the day more than once. Joey did an amazing job keeping the party going. He brought awesome lighting for the dance floor, and he even set up lights in dimly lit areas so guests wouldn’t trip or fall. They both clearly care about everyone having a great time, but they put safety first, which we appreciated so much. Joey also took all of our music preferences and seamlessly wove them into the night so everything flowed perfectly. They brought their son as well, who was such an incredible support and a huge help throughout the day. A few weeks post-wedding day, they even hopped on a debrief call with us to walk through how everything went and help us give accurate feedback to our other vendors. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care went far beyond anything we expected. Our wedding day was so special because of them. We couldn’t recommend Carol and Joey more.”
