“We recently had our wedding at The Barn at Black Walnut Farm, and it was extraordinary. From the moment we first toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for us. Jim and Sarah have poured so much heart and craftsmanship into restoring this historic barn, preserving its rustic charm while modernizing it in all the right places.

The property itself is breathtaking, with thoughtfully designed spaces that make you feel completely immersed in nature. The rose garden and front yard provided great photo opportunities, not just for us but for all our guests.
Our ceremony in the forest site was an absolute dream. The setting created a truly magical, intimate atmosphere. It was the most picturesque backdrop for such a meaningful moment, and we can’t imagine having said our vows anywhere else.
The true gem of the property, however, is the historic house. Staying in this house was an unforgettable experience, and my family is already looking forward to returning for years to come.
The Barn at Black Walnut Farm is more than just a venue—it’s an experience and a place where memories are made. Jim and Sarah are not just venue owners; they are passionate, thoughtful hosts who truly care about every couple’s special day. We feel so honored to have celebrated our wedding here and cannot recommend it highly enough.”

“Our daughter and son-in-law had their wedding at City Winery Hudson Valley a few weeks ago and we are thrilled with our entire experience! We worked with Lerika from the very beginning when we first toured as our Sales Manager and communications with her throughout the process were perfect. Lerika also worked extremely well with our planner (Lauren F. from Wild Blooms – recommended by CW) and the two of them made sure all details were perfect. When we first toured CW, we loved all the different spaces and, due to a rainy wedding day, were very grateful for the many options. Although we intended for the ceremony to be by the river, the indoor space was beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop made even more beautiful with white flowers that popped against the brick and windows. And having cocktail hour within the bar area and restaurant, which they closed for us, made our event very private and allowed for sufficient seating during that time. The buttlered hors d’oeuvres were plentiful and the stations constantly replenished so they always looked stocked. Service was incredible throughout the day and our guests appeared to be served dinner all at once, and wait staff were very attentive. There were never lines at the bar during cocktail hour or the reception which was helped by the table wine service. We chose the Steak Bavette for our beef entrée and I was concerned the 6 oz standard portion would be too small so we upgraded to 8 oz which ended up being huge! And all the food served throughout the day was delicious! Lerika was attentive throughout the wedding day as was Tiffany, the CW event coordinator, who we did not meet until that day. Lerika and Tiffany anticipated our needs and made sure we were all taken care of throughout the day. Security identified a potential issue with one of our guests who had too much to drink and discreetly and professionally addressed it without our even knowing about it. We had more than 160 guests in attendance and the space was big enough to ensure it was easy to move around the tables while still feeling intimate. I love that we were able to place only two rows of tables on each side of the dance floor so everyone was close to the activity and never far apart. Our guests danced throughout the wedding which made it very fun. With recommendations from CW, we selected a florist (Laruen P. from Wild Blooms) and bistro lighting from Fox Haus that transformed the space and made it so beautiful. All the photos are absolutely gorgeous even though most were taken indoors. We also reserved the boiler bar for the guys to get ready which was fun for them and the Nest for the ladies which was spacious and beautiful. And lastly, we hosted an afterparty in the boiler bar for the friends of the bride and groom which was perfect to give them extra time with their close friends! CW hosts a combined food tasting for all couples with scheduled weddings and it gave us a great glimpse of what the actual wedding day would be like with plenty of special and personal touches for the bride and groom. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was, and we continue to receive so many compliments from our guests! It was fun, it was beautiful, it was delicious, it was perfectly what our daughter and son-in-law envisioned!”

“We got married at Bad Seed in June 2024. It was the first venue we toured and we knew it was perfect right away. Devin, Albert, Brandon, and the rest of the Bad Seed team are so down to earth and communicative. They gave us great advice about how to make our wedding day amazing. We wanted to DIY our decor and music, bring in our own food vendor, and have a casual garden party vibe. Bad Seed was super flexible, letting us choose whichever vendors we wanted and giving us tips for great service providers in the area. Because they only do one wedding per weekend, we had the entire day before the wedding to set up (which we needed!) as well as the entire morning/afternoon before the big event. There was always someone at the venue to help with whatever we needed, even going above and beyond to help us lay out the tables and set up decor. We wanted an indoor/outdoor wedding. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans with a heat wave and thunderstorm moving through the area. On the bright side, Devin and the Bad Seed crew made sure we could do the whole event inside -- even going out to buy a big industrial fan to make sure the taproom stayed cool (we didn't end up needing it, the AC did its job!). Bad Seed is also SO reasonably priced compared to other wedding venues in the area. There was no nickel and diming or hidden fees - just an honest price and a great value. During the actual event, the bar staff went above and beyond to take care of us, checking in on us throughout the night and bringing us drinks so we didn't have to wait at the bar. It really made us feel like a million bucks. Oh, and our guests were raving about the cider :) If you're looking for an awesome, picturesque wedding venue in the Hudson Valley, Bad Seed should be your top choice.”

“From beginning to end, we could not have asked for a better venue with better staff, owners, or location. The date we visited the venue we were so blown away with the offerings provided at Blenheim that when we left, we tried to find every reason not to choose that as our venue and we couldn’t. Fast forward to our wedding weekend and it made life so much easier. It spoke directly to my type A personality having everything so organized yet organic at the same time. Being able to stay on site and essentially have the venue for an entire weekend and getting to experience all components of it without having to leave the farm was so amazing especially because the venue is beautiful. The staff is amazing and who doesn’t want to be surrounded by farm animals. From top down, Blenheim is run beautifully. Min and Morten are wonderful and really made us feel special. You could tell that they truly care about their couples and making their experiences memorable. They treated us and our daughter like family. The time they’ve taken to hire the staff that they have, to keep the property so beautiful , and to offer as much as they do really made our wedding day so special. I know that they can’t control the weather, but our day was the most perfect sunny day and it made it feel like a true fairytale. I could not imagine our wedding having been anywhere else. I cannot recommend Blenheim enough. We are so grateful to Min, Morten, and their staff.”

“We recently had our wedding at ElmRock Inn bnb and we feel very lucky to have made lasting memories there. Rain or shine the grounds were absolutely stunning and the décor tied the ambiance together to create a warm and rustic look to our wedding that we always envisioned. We were blessed with a rainy morning which did not stop us from having a beautiful ceremony. The staff was extremely helpful as we transitioned with the weather. Jen and the other wait staff was very attentive in ensuring that everyone with food restrictions were taken care of. The food was beyond expectations, we had so many guests that came up to us to send compliments to the chef. The reception went off without a hitch! We were even lucky enough to get a visit from the friendly deer that like to roam the property which created the most spectacular and unique photos. There are only a few suggestions that we had about our experience. Those of our guests staying in the Carriage house hit a few snags during their visit. There are a few lifted nails in the floor boards that our guests hit as they walked barefoot upstairs. There was also some difficulty finding hooks to hand towels that were being used or to hang a suit. We stayed in the Iris room which was a beautiful space, however, we were woken up each morning quite early to staff having some loud conversations in the kitchen below us. The only trouble we had during the reception was during our cake cutting. We noticed the cake was not taken out with enough time to thaw after being in the fridge because it was difficult to cut. Regardless of these small challenges, we still had such an amazing time and could not be more happy with this unforgettable day. Thank you ElmRock Inn!”

“This was the first venue we looked at and we knew right away we needed to get married here. Truly one of the most beautiful ceremony locations I have ever seen. The team was amazing! We forgot the plug for our neon sign and they ran to the store to find a plug that worked. It poured 45 minutes before our ceremony, and the staff let us wait, and then dried everything off at the last minute, which gave us a rainbow at our ceremony. They were so flexible in making the timeline work due to our weather delay. The food was amazing, from the cocktail hour stations, to dinner, and the food at the after party. The venue felt so intimate and personal, we could not have picked a better place. 10000000% recommend!”

“The second I walked into Novellas when we went for a tour I knew that’s where I wanted to get married. The bridal suite was absolutely gorgeous. There was plenty of room to get ready and relax the morning of our wedding. I was able to connect my phone to the sound system so we could listen to music while we got ready. We had access to the bridal suite throughout the wedding which was great. The outside ceremony and cocktail hour space were both so beautiful. The waterfall is the perfect background for taking photos. When I walked into the reception space I completely fell in love. The chandeliers are stunning and the room just feels luxurious. Bryce, the manager, was phenomenal with communication. I received a response back within a day which was great. He was truly so flexible and there wasn’t much of a limit of things we couldn’t do. I wanted to get on top of the bar and pour shots into our guests mouths and I know it sounds like a crazy idea but you only get one wedding. I told Bryce that’s what I wanted to do and he said I could absolutely do that. That was my favorite part of the night! Novellas also offered the outside space to be used for the after party which was great. We ordered pizza from a local pizzeria and had that delivered and we brought coolers of beer and seltzers and hung outside by the fire pit until 2 in the morning. There are also two hotels that are walkable from Novellas because they essentially share a parking lot. That was also one of the reasons I chose Novellas. I didn’t have to worry about our guests not having a ride home or having to find someone to drive them home. Our guests were able to walk right to their hotel room. Courtney is the day of coordinator and she was absolutely phenomenal! She truly went above and beyond for us. She came to check on me the day of the wedding in the bridal suite multiple times. I was so anxious the morning of that I was just walking back and forth in the venue and I kept apologizing to her and she said whatever I needed to do and I wasn’t in the way. She set up everything for us the day of the wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous. I had given her a list of all the decor I had and where I wanted it and she set everything up just how I envisioned it. She was phenomenal the whole day and she kept everything running smoothly. She was on top of everything. We never had to ask for anything. When we thought of something or we needed something we would turn around and it would always be done or she would have what we needed. After our ceremony, Courtney was waiting with a drink in her hands for us and a smile on her face. This was truly the perfect venue for the best day of our lives.”

The entire staff, especially Mary the manager and Matt the bartender went over and above to make sure our reception went well. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful grounds and venue space. “Booking with The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm is the best thing my husband and I have ever done. We were looking to have a small intimate wedding, but every venue tour we did still had a 75-100 person minimum and required a large cost requirement for catering. Then I happened upon The Wedding Foundry when researching micro weddings. We had one phone call with Billiam and immediately signed the contract, without even viewing the venue first. As a bride, the fact that they were including the venue, the officiant, photography, florals and catering was the best thing ever. It took so much stress off of me while planning this wedding, as I did not have to run around to different vendors. Billiam and Erica were extremely communicative and really took the time to learn what we were looking for. Day of, Billiam and his day of coordinator Cathy made sure the day ran perfectly. We were absolutely blown away from how beautiful our venue was. The florals they created made our wedding look like a fairy tale. Our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Erica was an absolute pro with photography, really taking her time with my husband and I for our portraits. Throughout the night she made sure to capture every moment. Erica sent teasers to us within a week of our wedding and the photos are beautiful. The officiant, Michele, was amazing. She created the most personalized and beautiful ceremony that fit us perfectly. We loved how she included a hand-fasting ceremony as well. Multiple guests approached us to let us know that there was not a single dry eye during our ceremony. The Wedding Foundry truly created our perfect day. We are so happy with our intimate wedding, we had 46 of our closest friends and family and everyone truly enjoyed the day. I highly recommend booking The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm for your intimate wedding.”

“Having our wedding at Revel 32 was the best decision we made! A beautiful, unique venue that really cares about creating your wedding vision. Holly, Judy, & Cherilyn were amazing to work with. All of my questions were always answered promptly & I really felt like I didn’t need to worry about details on the big day. They took care of everything! The food was delicious & we really liked how the menu was made personally for us by the chef. It’s not your typical wedding venue, it’s so much more than that. Thank you to everyone we worked with at Revel 32. You made this experience unforgettable!”

“Beautiful venue for our wedding day! We had a bit of a bumpy road leading up to it—the original wedding coordinator at Buttermilk left at the start of the year, and there was a long period of silence. Lauren, who started working there mid-way through the year, was an absolute godsend, patiently answering my and my family’s many questions and helping confirm all the details. She and Kelly were on hand throughout my wedding weekend, keeping everything running smoothly and beautifully. The space itself is stunning—all our guests and our photographer kept commenting on how gorgeous it was. The only hiccup was that my parents’ accommodation wasn’t available when they arrived. An alternative was provided, but it was understandably frustrating. Overall, though, the venue and the team made our wedding weekend truly special!”

“We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! “We had the wedding of our dreams this past weekend at Mod House, and it could not have gone better. From the very beginning of planning, Nick & crew made us feel so taken care of and allowed us to really connect with the space and feel comfortable. We so enjoyed our visits even before our wedding took place! Mod House is so perfectly preserved in time, but still feels modern enough to have a contemporary wedding. If you choose to go all-out on a retro vibe like we did, it will absolutely suit your vision. All of the little details of the space are so magical and our guests were so enamored by the entire house. There are so many cool spaces around the house that will entertain all types of guests. The speakeasy, which is a fully functioning underground jazz club, is our favorite part of the house. You can lounge, you can dance, you can enjoy the bar, and there’s even a secret room. Special shout-out to Laverne, the queen of the castle, for offering her canine emotional support to us & our guests. I don’t know if our wedding would have been as magical and perfect if we were in any other venue. Mod House will forever be so special to us and we can’t wait to visit again!”
