Inside, dried florals, chandeliers, antique tables, and lounge seating create a fully styled setting. The Arbor House changes with the seasons, offering a different atmosphere throughout the year. My passion for photography & videography arose from watching my grandfather take pictures and videos. He would capture such beautiful images and I knew I had to do the same! I remember our yearly trips to Yellowstone National Park to take pictures eating my favorite huckleberry ice cream! I think in total i have seen 13 bear, and at least 1,000 elk! I live in downtown SLC in a tiny studio apartment and I love it! Spending time with my family, boyfriend, and doggo are super important to me! The area which now comprises Memory Grove Park was set aside as a city park in 1902. The park however, remained unimproved until the 1920s when the women of the Salt Lake chapter of the Service Star Legion asked the city to designate the park as a memorial honoring America's soldiers and spearheaded the planting of trees and placement of monuments in the park. Memorial House was constructed around 1890 as a stable and equipment storage shed for contractor Patrick J. Moran. When Salt Lake City acquired the park area in 1902, the city's water department used the building as their barn, tool shed, and blacksmith shop as it was located directly across from the city's water intake structure on City Creek. In 1926, Salt Lake City leased the building to the Service Star Legion which planned to use it for veteran's activities and they renovated it to become an events center, there have been weddings held at Memorial House ever since. Now operated by Preservation Utah.
