Today, we are a one-of-a-kind, all-in-one floral and wedding design studio. From bespoke blooms to curated rentals—arches, backdrops, seating charts, furniture & more—we bring your vision to life. By listening closely to your wishes and your budget, we ensure every detail reflects you. With steady communication and expert insight, we guide you through the journey of creating your perfect wedding.

When In Bloom was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the moment I first contacted Amanda and Kristine, their communication was professional, kind, and genuinely caring. They truly listened to my vision and worked tirelessly to bring it to life with their loving, creative, and patient approach. The floral arrangements they created were not only stunning, but also remarkably realistic and well-crafted. Their calm demeanor and problem-solving skills were invaluable, as they accommodated my needs even when I reached out just a month before the big day. Both Amanda and Kristine are such humble, hardworking, and kindhearted people, and I'm so grateful for the role they played in making our special day absolutely perfect.

There’s a reason we’re drawn to flowers. It’s the same reason we’re drawn to the mountains, the sea and everything in between. Hi! I'm Rebecca, owner of Rudbeckia Florals. With a lifelong admiration for nature, Rudbeckia florals is an ode to this. Designs give into the will of each stem and petal to create arrangements lead by shape and texture.

    Awarded Best of Zola
We worked with Becky to design the florals for our baby shower and were absolutely blown away by her choice of colors, flowers, and arrangement style! She went out of her way to make the arrangements special to us while fitting the theme of our shower. We had so many guests commenting on the overall floral aesthetic, and she even designed a Flower Bar for guests to create their own bouquet to take home as favors which was a big hit! Highly recommend Rudbeckia Florals for any event!

Whether you need flowers for a small elopement or an elaborate celebration, we want to make your wedding flowers as special and unique as your love. We hope you will choose to celebrate the environment when you celebrate your special day by choosing our Connecticut-grown flowers. I treat the flowers with preservatives to help them last for your special day, rendering them non-organic.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Zoe and Gabby did the florals for my wedding in June 2024. All of the florals were absolutely stunning. I was absolutely obsessed with my bridal and bridesmaids bouquets. They used my pinterest board to truly create the bouquets of my dreams. Everyone in the reception were commenting on the table florals as well. Zoe and Gabby were so easy to work with. I had a ton of questions about different options such as bud vases vs. compote bowls, hanging florals, arch florals and more. They were both so patient with me while I figured out what I wanted. I also changed my vision from when we first spoke and they were so easy about the changes. I really loved supporting a local, women owned business. I also loved that all of the flowers were grown locally. I couldn't recommend Sterling Flower Farm enough.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I mean this as a compliment when I say I thought about/worried about my florist the least out of all my vendors. I met with Carol at blissful blooms and described my vision and my color scheme and had total faith that she would deliver. She was quick in getting back to me with an initial estimate and some inspiration photos that were exactly what I had in mind. On the day of wedding she came in and out like a ghost (though I had 100 other things I was in the middle of), so I saw the finished products all set up after she left, and everything was exactly as we had discussed and looked beautiful. I took home several centerpieces, bouquets, and aisle arrangements that are still trying to hang in there a week later. So I know the flowers were fresh and good quality. I absolutely loved working with Carol and thought her work was perfect and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend Blissful Blooms for any wedding.

Having fresh local flowers in my shop is a great way to start conversations with customers and bring a different vibe to my store than the more mechanical, information seeking, technology vibe that bikes often bring in retail. Flowers break that mentality up, helping to bring a more intimate feeling to the store environment and speak more to what people get from bikes than a list of features/benefits.

The second I stumbled upon Jakki’s work, I knew I had to work with her. I even joked that we’d have to change our wedding date if she wasn’t available that weekend! From our very first call, I was blown away by how deeply she understood our vision. Honestly, even better than we could articulate it ourselves. She walked us through what was in season and had such an incredible eye for detail. It was such a relief to work with someone we trusted so fully. Beyond florals, Jakki even referred us to a few of our other amazing vendors—she became someone whose opinion I truly valued throughout the planning process. When I walked into the venue on our wedding day, I was completely blown away. The flowers felt intentional, organic to the space, and truly elevated the entire atmosphere. It was like stepping into the dream version of our day. Hiring Jakki was hands down one of our favorite wedding decisions. She didn’t just bring our vision to life, she brought it together beyond anything we could have imagined.

    Painted Gardens

Welcome to Painted Gardens! Shannon, who is often hidden behind a big bouquet of flowers, is the owner and head designer of PG. Although her background is as a mixed media artist, She has always worked in horticulture and is proud to be a first generation farmer alongside her husband Justin. Her experience as a grower made floristry a natural, artistic progression. Since opening PG, her passion has evolved into distinctive, unique, eclectic, garden style designs. Painted Gardens would not be possible without her husband Justin's support and hard work taking care of our farm. Dream team since 2015!

Painted Gardens was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding flowers! From the very first interaction, Shannon was warm, prompt, and detail-oriented. You only have to tell her something once and she will never forget it! She provides suggestions with your budget in mind, and makes sure that your specific vision is brought to life. She provided thoughtful suggestions for our big day, like a custom chalkboard sign for our cocktail hour, greenery through the lights in the barn, gorgeous arrangements by the fireplace for cocktail hour, and candlesticks that she provided throughout the reception area. Shannon listened carefully to our preferences and didn't miss a single detail, walking through the venue with us weeks before to brainstorm stunning details. The final product was incredible - high quality florals at an extremely fair price! We got so many compliments on the florals in particular! All thanks to Shannon! Painted Gardens was by far our favorite vendor, and we would book them a million times over for any event. :) Thank you, Shannon!!

    BLOOM. Creative Floral & Events
    Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
    • Starts at $5,000
    • Serves Portland, CT

BLOOM. Creative Floral & Events is a boutique floral and event design studio located in Northeast, CT, serving counties in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We create seasonal, garden-inspired floral arrangements, using only the freshest flowers and unique blooms and ingredients responsibly sourced from local flower farmers and gardens from all over the world. Drawing inspiration from your ideas, your unique style, and the venue you have chosen, we work closely with you and the team of professionals you have hired to implement your special day to help you achieve, big and small, the wedding of your dreams.

Tammie made our wedding a dream. We love flowers and knew we wanted them to be a showstopper during our big day, and from our very first meeting we knew that Tammie would create organic coastal garden magic for us. After describing our likes and dislikes and reviewing a moodboard with Tammie, she came back with a visual proposal that completely understood the vision we had, and the actual execution was even better than we could have expected. From my beautiful bouquet, to the ceremony arrangements, and the stunner of a floral chandelier, everything was absolutely perfect. However, nothing could really top the reception tables — it was like my Pinterest board come to life. The organic feeling growing arrangements, bud vases, ikebanas, and tapers that complimented our tablecloths were *chefs kiss*. I’m still not over everything! To top it all off, Tammie is so kind, warm, and lovely — she made dreaming up flowers one of the best and most enjoyable parts of this process. Thank you for everything, Tammie!

    Farm Couture Flowers
    Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
    • Starts at $5,000
    • Serves Portland, CT

Farm Couture Flowers is the design studio at Muddy Feet Flower Farm. I grow over 100 varieties of cut flowers from April through November and incorporate them into lush garden-style arrangements and bouquets.

Where to begin? Kristin is an artist. In the age of insane wedding Pinterest boards and over-planning every detail, we gladly handed the floral design and aesthetics over to Kristin. She uses her own flowers from her farm, so she's both local and sustainable, and if you're interested in supporting a small, woman-owned business, this is the way to go. We trusted her direction and expertise and it was the best decision we could have made. When we walked into our venue on the day-of, we were both floored. It was so much better than I could have even imagined; we received so many sincere compliments from guests. Our wedding photographer said he thought they were the best wedding flowers he'd seen. The floral design was original, organic, and creative, and the greenery was gorgeous. If you choose Kristin as your florist, trust her to lead the way. It'll be better than anything you could have imagined!

Yumiko at Hana Floral Design was one of the first vendors I really clicked with during my wedding planning experience, and the rest was history! I am so glad I found her early in the planning process. Her ability to understand and execute my tropical-inspired wedding vision gave me full confidence that my wedding would be success. Throughout the process, Yumiko easily adapted to new ideas, took feedback in stride, offered helpful (really helpful) ideas, and seamlessly communicated with my other vendors to turn my vision into a reality. She had awesome connections (helped to find my amazing photographer) and she went above and beyond to turn our blank canvas of a tent and transform it into a tropical, island chic space. I felt so incredibly lucky to work with her, and throughout called her the VIP of my wedding day. She is amazing, truly the best!!!!!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

This was by far one of the best decisions and money savers I could’ve done for myself. The flowers were top quality, beautiful, and we had a blast putting them together with our family. Flower Mocie is simple and they have videos that will help you prepare in advance for your vision and piecing your bouquets together. I was quoted 5000 for florals by other vendors, but with flower moxie and a little creativity, we only spent 500 to cover 12 bouquets and 16 boutonnières. HIGGLY RECOMMEND

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

The flowers were gorgeous, vibrant, and truly unique, just like I wanted! Kate has such a keen ability to take inspiration photos, run with them, and create something incredibly gorgeous and in line with my vision. The florals she designed brought a lovely pop of color to our reception and pulled the natural look from the landscape into the space exactly like I envisioned. From little details like "snap-bracelet" corsages for the moms to a color-coordinating ribbon on the boutonnieres, Kate totally knocked it out of the park!

Omg where do I even begin??! Nicole is a master of her craft. I reached out in December 2022 for my May 5, 2024 wedding and I knew after our first phone call that she was the one I wanted designing my flowers and centerpieces. We instantly clicked and she knew exactly what I was envisioning and how to get us there. All throughout the process she kept me involved and was constantly making sure it’s what I wanted. Even though I knew what colors she was going with I was still left absolutely speechless when my bouquets were delivered to my hotel room the morning of. And when I walked into the venue and saw the centerpieces I was in awe. Like she blew it out of the water. Whaling City Florist brought my colorful dreams to life! I wanted a somewhat untraditional mess of colors for my wedding. Whaling City sent me a draft of what flowers they would use and was incredibly responsive and easy to work with! The attention to detail and quality of the flowers was top tier. They even accommodated my request for rainbow rose petals for the flower girls. Amazing vendor to work with and a high-quality and visually stunning product!

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 75 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

When I was looking for floral vendors for my July 2024 wedding in Block Island, I came across Ayla’s Instagram, and I knew immediately I had to work with her. I fell in love with the whimsical, natural, English-garden vibe of her florals, and I just thought she was the coolest person. From the first conversation we had, it felt like she “got” me, suggesting flowers, designs, and concepts better than I could possibly articulate myself. She was incredibly thoughtful putting together multiple proposals that fit our vision and our budget. The entire planning process couldn’t have been easier because of how sweet, communicative, and easy Ayla was to work with. Cut to the wedding day, and I was honestly speechless seeing her work come to life in our tent. Ayla is an ARTIST. She created a gorgeous 65 ft table runner for our head table that was so dreamy I still think about it. The bouquets were exactly what I was looking for - natural and simple but packed a stunning punch. Then there was the tent entrance installation, which was so beautiful on its own but also so thoughtfully designed to enhance the view and setting of our venue. Multiple guests came up to me on the wedding day (and even in the weeks afterwards) commenting on how the florals were some of the most unique and beautiful they had seen. I truly could go on and on. Ayla and her amazing team at shade studio exceeded every expectation a million times over. Hands down, Ayla is the best and I couldn’t recommend her more.

I absolutely loved the flowers Belinda created for our wedding! Ordering from the Rose Thief’s preset wedding packages made the entire process so simple, which I really appreciated because wedding planning involves so many decisions already. It was wonderful to have one less thing to stress about. I received so many compliments on my bouquet from the Bright Meadow Collection, and the coordinating centerpieces were absolutely beautiful. The flowers truly brought everything together, and they ended up being my favorite part of our wedding décor. Belinda was also fantastic to work with. She was responsive, kind, and took the time to answer all of my questions throughout the process. I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out, and I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding.

Emma at First Blush Floral & Planning was an absolute treasure to work with, and we couldn't recommend her more. As a wedding couple who had to pivot unexpectedly from original vendor and venue plans, the minute I got on a call with Emma, I knew she would be perfect in helping our vision come to life. Cool, calm, collected, organized and knowledgeable, she listened to what we wanted and made it come to life. We felt so reassured that we also added Fist Blush's planning services on to our floral package. It was such peace of mind in those final weeks (and the big day) to know she was behind the scenes of it all. Forever grateful! The pouring rain and day-of chaos stood no chance.
