The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).
Do you know how hard it is to plan a wedding when you live far away? It feels like you're missing out on something special; not to mention getting someone to talk to you in your time zone! What we do is eliminate the disadvantages of distance with concierge-level communications including prompt responses and flexible hours. Work with Kate!
Kate took interest in my story and the vision I had. The time she spent creating the initial mood board helped convey what the flowers would look like. I appreciated her enthusiasm and her dedication to getting it just right. Taste is something you can't teach someone. Kate has it! I had an Indian wedding and flowers are key to creating the ambiance for the ceremony. She built an absolutely beautiful mandap with a short turn around time and surrounded the staircase with flowers that made for a grand entrance. Many people commented on our reception tables too. She transformed the ballroom with candelabras that held mauve candles and flower arrangements.

Kate brought my idea of a spring garden wedding to life. She over exceeded my expectations for all the bouquets and the bud vases throughout the room. She was very easy to talk through it all and really helped with showing a personalized portfolio to really showcase what to expect on our wedding day. It was so special to me and my mother-in-law to incorporate her wedding dress sleeve as the wrap for my bouquet.
Gorgeous colorful florals!
When I first saw my wedding bouquet I was speechless! It was nothing like any other bouquet I had seen in the absolute best way! The flowers were gorgeous, vibrant, and truly unique, just like I wanted! Kate has such a keen ability to take inspiration photos, run with them, and create something incredibly gorgeous and in line with my vision. The florals she designed brought a lovely pop of color to our reception and pulled the natural look from the landscape into the space exactly like I envisioned. From little details like "snap-bracelet" corsages for the moms to a color-coordinating ribbon on the boutonnieres, Kate totally knocked it out of the park!

The flowers and décor from Fountainhead Floral Design brought our wedding to life literally and figuratively! We did not have a strong or clear vision for our florals but Katie took our jumbled ideas and created something we couldn't even envision. We wanted the flowers to be a part of the day but not overwhelming - she totally got our ideas! She brought us great suggestions and made our florals unique and dynamic. The flowers were so fresh and beautiful. We can't thank you enough!
