Kate LaPietra
The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).
Do you know how hard it is to plan a wedding when you live far away? It feels like you're missing out on something special; not to mention getting someone to talk to you in your time zone! What we do is eliminate the disadvantages of distance with concierge-level communications including prompt responses and flexible hours. Hire Fountainhead!!
Truly can’t say enough good things about working with Kate at Fountainhead Floral. First of all, she’s incredibly communicative, easy to work with, and upfront with all pricing which is so hard to find in the world of wedding vendors. She worked with us to bring our “coastal grandma/Nancy Meyer’s aesthetic to life”, and was the only florist we spoke to who understood what that meant! We audibly gasped and said “WOW” when we walked into our reception space, and during the ceremony I couldn’t stop staring at the arrangements!

Working with Fountainhead Floral Design was such a smooth experience from start to finish. Kate was wonderful to work with and really took the time to listen to what we wanted for our daughter's wedding. She nailed every detail of the vision we had, creating the most gorgeous floral arrangements that exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, she created a vision board that captured exactly what I was hoping for and was so personable and easy to collaborate with throughout the process. I trusted her with creative control, and she truly shined. She brought my vision to life in a way that exceeded anything I could have imagined. We were married on 9.13.25 at Eolia Mansion, and despite a very tight setup window, Kate and her team executed everything perfectly. My wedding bouquet was absolutely stunning and exactly what I dreamed of. Every floral detail felt thoughtful and intentional. Fountainhead Floral Design was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was clear, concise, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was simply amazing - the bridesmaids bouquets they created for us last minute were absolutely beautiful and perfect, and the centerpieces they designed were breathtaking. I had reached out to them in a panic less than a week before the wedding because my box of DIY bouquets got delayed, and they were able to step in and make the most stunning bridesmaids bouquets with barely any notice. Amazing to work with!!
Kate was so amazing to work with. I had a vision and a budget and she was able to work with me on making sure we stuck to both of those. I was blown away by all the florals the day of. The arch she created for our ceremony was 10/10! And we were even able to use it for our sweetheart table afterwards. It was exactly what we pictured! Absolutely amazing!!
