I'm Alfa, a wedding, engagement, and portrait photographer in New Jersey and New York. My love for photography began years ago when I found myself taking as many candid shots of my then almost 90-year-old grandmother. I kept photographing every instance of her as if with each click of the camera I would extend her stay on this earth. Tyler’s love of photography started in his mid-twenties while touring with the Billboard-charting indie-rock band, A Great Big Pile of Leaves. He began his professional photography career capturing behind-the-scenes images for national ad campaigns and found his strength in anticipating all of the emotional, hilarious, quirky and exciting candid moments. Tyler’s documentary photography style is inspired by photo journalism and his editing embodies the tones, contrast and color familiar to analog film. When Andrew and Kathy were photojournalist their thief was story telling. As they got married and started a family, the focus shifted to their children and the couple used their creativity to tell a new story – first steps, trips to the park, birthdays. I moved to New York City in 2000 after graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in art and a concentration in photography.
