His preparation and attention to detail beforehand was immaculate, as he spent over an hour with my partner and me going over the entire wedding day step by step. The sound systems were flawless- everyone could hear our vows during the ceremony and the quality of the sound during the entire day and night was exceptional. He kept our wedding very organized and was the perfect host. Regarding the music selection, he allowed us to make playlists for the cocktail hour and reception which he stuck to using beautiful transitions between songs. Our guests were dancing the entire night! All of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. 10/10 DJ, would definitely recommend him for any event. I included a pic of me doing the worm in my wedding dress. The dance floor was too packed so I had to do it on the side!”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! Our ceremony guitarist learned our entrance songs and performed them beautifully. Our special dances were played from mp3 and were timed perfectly. Even though we honestly didn't give them much direction for timing, they just nailed it! And then the party! Our family and friends love to dance, and the band kept the energy high all night long. They even learned a couple of extra songs for us that sounded amazing. Their talent is honestly unreal. They definitely were supposed to take more breaks than they did, but they just kept playing, and even gave us an encore. After the wedding, we got to chat with some of the band members, and they were all so kind and genuinely cool people. “The DJ was the thing that I didn't want to worry about on our special day, and I have to admit I was slightly underwhelmed by Wedding Pro DJS. Robert, the man who owns WPDJs, was initially very communicative and enthusiastic but after a couple months of him being booked his communication completely stopped. Roughly a MONTH before the wedding he told me he was having an impromptu hip replacement. I get that these things happen but I wasn't born yesterday and I think there was an opportunity to let me know prior to a month before. He assured us that his replacement was top tier and that he djd his own wedding, and his replacement was indeed a very nice guy, but on the day of the wedding during the reception there was a LOT of feedback from the mics during peoples speeches which actually led to us completely losing audio recording from the best man. Super bummer. You just don't expect things like that from professionals. I'm sure this was a one off but I probably wouldn't book them again.”

They did an amazing job reading the dance floor and keeping the party going until the very end! They finished the night with Love Story which was one of my song requests, but I had not specifically requested it at the end – it ended up being the most perfect end to our wedding and a memory I will never forget. “Top Hat Entertainment was an excellent choice for our DJ services for our wedding! Mike and the team made it easy to figure out what we needed, were very responsive via email and phone, and made all the sound mixing flawless for our ceremony and reception, which was no easy feat as it was at two different locations. Our wedding planner said Top Hat was the only DJ she could recommend and noted that they were extremely professional, did not try to overtake the reception and party, and were easy to work with. We found that all to be the case. Their rates were reasonable for DJing services and we ended up also booking their magic mirror Photo Booth which our guests enjoyed and a projector to display a slideshow. It was nice to be able to customize the output of the Photo Booth to add our wedding logo and information. The projector and Photo Booth were more expensive than we would have liked especially compared to the DJ services but they both went flawlessly. Our DJ was the owner Mike, who we loved and would highly recommend. He was super friendly, wanted to answer any questions we had, had a questionnaire for us to fill out ahead of time to ensure he had everything he needed for the ceremony and reception. He had lavaliere microphones for our officiants, a standing microphone for speakers during the ceremony which made it easy to hear for our guests. He also connected with a musician we hired to amplify his music as well. For the reception, he did a great job emceeing the reception, transitioning between toasts and cake cutting and then did a wonderful job with the dance music and kept the dance floor lively and fun! Everything was smooth, professional, and flawless, which is exactly what we had hoped for! We’d highly recommend Mike and Top Hat Entertainment for your Vermont wedding!”

He was so ontime with everything and organized which was so helpful for a very stressed and busy bride trying to pull off a wedding! He also had so many really fun ideas for the wedding - like an anniversary dance for all married couples to see who has been married for the longest. He kept us running on time throughout the day, but was also so flexible when we had changes like a couple last minute speeches added in. We also had some very specific requests from him, such as a combined first dance with a fun fast part and then a slow romantic part and he did the perfect job of making the music for it! I was also so surprised at how many people were on the dance floor because the music was so fun - I didn't expect our guests to be very into dancing but the dance floor was completely filled all night! I was also really impressed with how he incorporated our very eclectic music playlists, really neatly blending bollywood songs with 80s disco with current hits so everyone had fun and everything flowed so smoothly. Finally, we had the selfie station and our guests had an ABSOLUTE BLAST with it and I had so much fun looking through all the pictures the next day. Overall, couldn't recommend Greg more, he was the best DJ ever, absolutely perfect.”
