“From our first conversation with Emily and Mike at Elm and Arbor, we knew we'd found the right venue. They're easy to talk to and genuinely want to remove the stress from planning, which made the whole process feel smooth and straightforward. Their accommodating approach meant they worked with us on every detail without making us feel rushed or pressured. We loved that they offered us discounted pricing as one of their first couples. We're super excited to be able to still have some things on our big day, like a first dance, even if it's an elopement! While we haven't had our celebration yet, we're counting down the days!!”

All my guests were able to see the dance floor from their seats. There was also a discount for guests staying at the hotel. I had many complements from my guests about the reception as well. The price was low considering the location is in downtown Saratoga Springs. The hotel has a staircase in the back that leads to Congress Park for beautiful pictures. “We highly recommend the Queensbury Hotel as a wedding venue! What drew us to this venue was its history, architecture, location (right in downtown Glens Falls), newly remodeled guest rooms, and convenience for our guests. Having all the guests and wedding day events in one building made the day seamless. We chose the Gold Room and Queen’s Ballroom because we loved the architecture of the rooms and the chandeliers. The space is so beautiful that you can be minimal on decor. Our wedding coordinator, Kamay, was extremely helpful and always responsive to my numerous emails. The food was fantastic, and we’ve received rave reviews from our guests on the food, too. We highly recommend this venue and are so happy with how our special day turned out!”

“We could not have asked for a more beautiful, inclusive, and accessible venue! Knowing that the vast majority of our guests would have to fly in to our wedding, no matter where we had it, it was important to us that we had a venue we could book for the whole weekend. Combined with all of the amenities Wylder offers, it was a no-brainer. The wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the incredible staff, particularly Andrea and Faith. From the moment of our first phone call until we were leaving the farewell brunch, they took care of us every step of the way. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and Wylder truly felt like our home for the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a beautiful venue (with a lovely rain/cold weather location, which we ended up using), incredible food, and great service!”

“My partner Sky and I had the dream summer wedding we envisioned at Seven Ponds. For our wedding we wanted to emulate these weekend trips we do upstate with a close group of friends and just make it bigger to include our family. Seven Ponds farm provided our two requirements of what we were looking for - a big house that could fit all our friends and a swimming pond right on the property. We also really appreciated that we didn't need to hire a wedding planner and could utilize the venues resources for all the planning aspects. We really appreciated how the Seven Ponds staff let us do our own thing throughout the weekend for a really relaxed environment, but then whenever we needed them they were right there helping with things like doing a practice run of the ceremony and answering specific questions about the house etc. It was also so wonderful that the staff were able to handle things like setting up the tables and the candles for us for the wedding dinner. Overall the forms and calls for the planning process were really helpful. We did have a little frustration at the wedding tasting as we thought it was an opportunity to ask questions about the food and overall found out that they really don't want you asking many questions and would prefer you to just read the written packet they provide without interacting in person with questions. I would also recommend being well versed on the packet you purchased as they won't be able to answer questions about what packet you bought. This was a bit different than we expected and knowing what I know now I might recommend not bringing family or friends to the tasting or otherwise just preparing them to just fill out the paperwork quietly as us not realizing this made for a more difficult tasting experience. There was also one staff member at the tasting who was a bit rude to our family members and I was so worried that this negative energy would be reflected at our wedding so I asked for a different wedding coordinator to lead our wedding. Overall the impersonal nature of the tasting also just made me really worried that the wedding would have the same feel and so I wanted to include this to note that while the tasting process wasn't as personal this was not the case at the wedding and the wedding atmosphere was really lovely. After the tasting I asked for Rosie to be our lead wedding coordinator as she had a much warmer energy and I can't recommend Rosie enough. She truly made our wedding experience. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator who has a graceful upbeat energy, stays calm and is easy to communicate with definitely ask for Rosie. There was a big storm on the day of our wedding and Rosie was so helpful staying calm and telling me to not loose hope about doing the ceremony outside. Morten was also really great with a specific weather device he had that allowed us to see when we had a good window to do the ceremony outside and very happy to say it all worked out and we got our dream outdoor ceremony. Overall I really got the wedding I dreamed of and we had such a relaxed and personal atmosphere. We really appreciated all the work the staff did to set up the wedding which allowed us to really just have fun, enjoy and not worry about logistical details. We so appreciated the flower package the venue provided for setting up the flowers and the bonfire packages. Overall we loved our wedding so much and are so happy we went with Seven Ponds! :)”

“We feel so lucky to have found the West Mountain Inn for our wedding. We first visited about a year before our wedding and immediately felt like it would be the perfect place for our special day. We were greeted by the resident golden retrievers, who followed us on our tour. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll be very happy with this venue! But really, it was Amie, Mary Beth and the rest of the staff who sold us. We immediately felt like they cared about making your day as perfect as possible for us, which was very welcome after touring other venues which felt like they wanted to squeeze every penny from us. After we decided on the venue, Amie was so willing to work with people like us who wanted to plan every detail possible. Amie answered all of my questions and sent additional information like floor plans so I could plan who was assigned to each room as soon as possible. Her communication over email was so incredible helpful! We absolutely loved that we could have so many guests staying at the inn and knew that would be perfect for our winter wedding. Next came our tasting, which was such a fun event. There are two tastings a year, both in March (though I think you could have a private tasting if you need). We loved being able to stay at the inn for a night and meet all of the other couples getting married here within the year. As our wedding was in February, we had to wait a long time between the tasting and trying the food again, and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! Chef Jeff did an amazing job with our welcome party, breakfast and lunch the day of the wedding, the absolutely amazing wedding dinner (and late night snacks), and brunch the next morning! We heard that most couples have a hard time eating during their weddings, but we cleaned our plates! Definitely try the butternut squash ravioli, it is incredible! We had our ceremony in the barn, then moved to the bar in the inn for cocktail hour, then dinner in the dining room, and dancing in the living room. They take out the big pieces of living room furniture and move some chairs to the side for dancing. A lot of my family was skeptical about that, but the inn knows what they’re doing!! The dance floor was plenty big for our party of 60 (and I’m sure it could have accommodate larger groups), and the chairs on the sides were a huge hit! It was incredible to be able to sit down for a minute and still feel like you’re a part of the party. I know a lot of our guests enjoyed that as well. We got ready in the Norman Rockwell suite, which worked out well since we had a small bridal party. We also loved getting to see all the rooms in the inn - every room is thought out so well and has little details that are so fun to find! We thought the inn was what made our wedding weekend so magical and cannot wait to visit again on anniversaries or other special occasions. Thank you so much to the entire team - we are so grateful to you!”

“When we first toured the Carriage House as a potential venue, it was a snowy January day (the opposite of the June wedding day we were touring for) but we could see the vision of space and fell in love with it. Keilana and Dawn were so easy to work with from the initial tour all the way through to picking up our stuff the day after the wedding. They were always available to answer any of our questions, no matter how small. They broke down the planning into parts, so it never felt overwhelming and they were always very clear about what information they needed and when. From the tasting day where we got to imagine how the space would be set up for our wedding, to the final walk through where we went through every detail of the wedding day, Keilana and Dawn were professional and enthusiastic, and we knew that our wedding was in good hands. Having the reception at the Carriage House meant many of our out of state guests were staying at the hotel which made the weekend even more fun, continuously running into people we knew throughout the weekend! Our guests raved about the beautiful cocktail hour outside, the lake views from the reception space, the delicious food, and that even with 200 people there was never a line at the bar when guests went to get a drink! The entire reception ran so smoothly, and we had an amazing time. We could not have picked a better location for our wedding reception, and we would highly recommend the Carriage House at Fort William Henry to other couples!! Thank you, Keilana and Dawn! “We had a deliriously happy, memorable wedding weekend at Hotel Lilien. Our entire bridal party and family stayed here, and the hotel hosted a fantastic BBQ for our Friday night welcome event. It was a pleasure working with the owners, through many months of planning right up to the big day. I can't overstate how accommodating and detail-oriented their team is -- and on top of that, they are friendly and fun, and know how to throw a great party. The hotel itself is picturesque and well appointed. I loved that we each had our own cozy room, but in the mornings and evenings, everyone came downstairs to hang out in the lounge space, which feels like an inviting living room. Their team set the tone for a great day every single day. They were always ready to help with things like distributing welcome bags, offering local recommendations and of course pouring superior cocktails. Working with Hotel Lilien was a dream the whole way. Attached photos: Eileen Meny eileenmenyphotography.com”

“Reader: If you’re in love, thinking about falling in love, or just want to be surrounded by charm, joy, and magic: BOOK YOUR WEDDING AT THE WILBURTON! Wow. Just wow. This place is utterly one of a kind. The Wilburton is perched on a hilltop with sweeping Green Mountain views. There’s historic charm, whimsical art, lush gardens, beautiful rugs. It feels like a family estate, an art museum, and a dreamy retreat all rolled into one. But what truly sets The Wilburton apart isn’t the beauty (though it is ABUNDANT). It’s the people. The team behind the Wilburton…WOW. Meesha, Tajlei, Melissa, Albert, Sarah, Lottie, Valerie, Dexter, Sam, the CHEF!, the housekeeping crew... I don’t know how else to say this. They are literal angels. A full ensemble of guardian angels disguised as event pros, who treat your guests with so much care, warmth, and intention it will leave you speechless. And Meesha…. the heartbeat of your wedding planning! She’s the Wilburton's on-site wedding planner for your entire planning process, but in reality, she goes WELL beyond that role. She is the calm in the storm, a problem solver, and deeply compassionate. She treated our family like her own. When visa issues threatened our international guests’ plans, she worked with Tajlei and Melissa to ensure flexible, stress-free housing. And when our budget felt tight, without us asking, she offered thoughtful ideas to help us save without sacrificing anything. Then there are the moments in the special details. Like when all the shuttles had left and one of our guests missed the bus. Meesha personally drove him home at 1:30am, planning to come back to finish her work. Or how she and her team were somehow everywhere at once, framing table numbers, boxing things up at the end of the night. I have no idea when she did half of it. Meesha just made it all feel seamless. And the entire team at The Wilburton follows that lead. While we were dancing at the reception, they snuck into our bridal suite, cleaned it, organized it, and left it glowing. No clue when they found the time, especially since Meesha was also capturing video snippets from the sidelines to send us. Every vendor gushed about the staff. Every guest adored them. I genuinely wanted Meesha and the team around her as guests in the wedding by the time the big day came! The team absolutely DELIVERS. Dexter’s MASSIVE bonfire on Friday night was the perfect kickoff (the bonfire is a MUST do!). Valerie’s INCREDIBLE warmth and cocktails were handcrafted magic with homegrown ingredients. Tajlei and Melissa made us feel like the property had been waiting for us all along. Even during our tasting weekend, they created an experience that felt personal, thoughtful, and joyful for all the couples. Everywhere we turned, the team added little touches: unwrapping guest blankets, grabbing Advil, offering tables and carpets, hand-delivering gift bags to rooms. There were at least a dozen things I intended to handle, only to find they’d already been done. I’ll never know the full list of behind-the-scenes magic, but I felt it all. That kind of quiet thoughtfulness made the weekend feel easy, magical, and full of love. If you’re looking for the BEST place for a wedding, reunion, event, or even a night away, do yourself a favor and book The Wilburton Inn!!!”

“We stayed here for our entire wedding weekend, and we had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here as well. For starters, Morgan is amazing. She was so flexible, easy to work with, and so organized. She is so attuned to the finer details and was always available to answer any questions. She was reliable, and I could feel her genuine sense of excitement for us when she was helping us plan. Nothing felt stressful while planning with Morgan, and she made our experience amazing. The welcome party was so much fun, and they hit the nail on the head. The food was spectacular. Kudos to the Reluctant Panther chef, as everything was absolutely mouthwatering. From the passed hors d'oeuvres to the main meal, it was some of the best food I've ever had. The inn itself is so beautiful. Each room has its own sense of self and such striking character. You really feel like you're in a Vermont inn rather than a commercial hotel. The bathroom in every single room is ginormous, with so much space. And don't even get me started on the breakfast picnic baskets! My friends and I couldn't get over how cute they were. Such a special touch for them to be delivered to each room as well. We love it here and can't wait to visit in the future! I would highly recommend staying here or planning any event here.”

“This venue is beautiful and it’s great that you can do the ceremony and reception at this location. The event coordinator was very quick to respond to my emails and was very gracious and made a few accommodations for us. It can be pricey to get married here because they will charge you for all of the little add ons. There was miscommunication when it came to booking rooms at the hotel but they are quick to try to make things right!”
