“Kyle was amazing to work with for our wedding! His communication throughout the planning process was always professional, quick, and organized. Kyle shared a detailed Google Doc with us to fill in with our personalized timeline of the day and preferences for music and announcements. About a month before the wedding, he scheduled a video call to go through that timeline step by step and to make sure he understood all of our requests. We shared specific songs we wanted for things like walking down the aisle and first dance and were able to share entire playlists of requests for things like music to play during cocktail hour, dinner, and our reception. On the day, Kyle was a rockstar. Everything was set up and ready to go well before our ceremony began. During the ceremony, the audio was excellent. From the volume of the music as we walked down the aisle, to the mics set up for us and our officiant, to the transition into our recessional, all of it was incredible. At the end of cocktail hour, Kyle pulled me aside just to review our entrance into the reception, which helped alleviate some nerves for me! And of course Kyle shined brightest during DANCING! He read the room, kept the energy high, and added in some awesome mixes and transitions that worked so well. We added on the photo booth and printer which was a huge hit! There were two print outs of each photo strip and you could even enter your phone number to get a digital version of the strip plus a video of all 4 photos rotating. This was super helpful especially for sharing large group photos. Kyle also sent us the digital copies of ALL of the photos and videos from the photo booth. We would highly recommend hiring Underfloor Music for your next event!”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Shawn did an awesome job! He did the music for our wedding ceremony, the music for the reception, provided uplighting, and the photobooth. My now husband and I enjoyed working with Shawn. He is funny, easy going, and patient. His questionnaire is very detailed and is very helpful for pulling the music together for the day. He also was very focused on making sure my now husband and I heard what we wanted to hear for the music. During the ceremony, Shawn timed the music perfectly. We saw later watching videos that he even cut the microphone out for my brother, the officiant of the wedding, when my brother almost started talking over parents walking down the aisle. Thanks for that, Shawn! Later in the night, we had other challenges with our timeline due to longer than expected speeches, too many tables to say hi to, and my own indecisiveness. Shawn handled all these obstacles very smoothly, kept an eye on the crowd and helped us stay in tune with when we needed to get the dance floor going. He played the songs we requested and helped us out with choosing songs for younger people. Since the wedding went by so quickly, I think the thing I am most grateful for is all the photos and videos he took of the night. The day was a bit of a blur and Shawn let us relive the night by sending us tons of photos and videos of everyone dancing. Thank you for that, Shawn!”

Saratoga Sound is the best of both worlds with their live acoustic music for cocktail hour, and DJ services for the reception, and our guests loved it! The music during the reception was at a good volume for dinner, and Karen even went up to my mom during dinner to check in which my mom really appreciated. They did an amazing job reading the dance floor and keeping the party going until the very end! They finished the night with Love Story which was one of my song requests, but I had not specifically requested it at the end – it ended up being the most perfect end to our wedding and a memory I will never forget. “Paul and the band are premier entertainment in the Capital District. We chose them for our wedding after seeing them perform several shows around the area. They are well versed in all of the components that go into your big day and that relieves a lot of stress. The only time the dance floor was empty was when we were eating. Every member of the band is extremely talented, from the bass and drums as the foundation, the tasty licks and riffs from the guitar and the incredible vocals. Their versatility impressed everyone at our wedding and cannot express how grateful we are for putting on a spectacular show. “The New York Players were the thing our wedding guests talked about the most! Aside from being absolutely fantastic and putting on a great show, the pre-event communication and planning support really made NYP a great band to work with. We didn't really know going into booking what things needed to be considered when booking our event music, and Mike was so helpful for holding our hands through the planning process. Before the event, Mike helped us plan the logistics, met with us to discuss our goals, and gave us an extensive song list to select music from for the night, as well as adding some songs that we love that were not on the list. The attention to detail and level of care put into the band made feel so fun and special, and took a lot of the stress of wedding planning out of the music planning due to the top-notch professionalism. The band really is amazing, the experience was like being at a live concert where all of your favorite bands are playing all of your favorite songs. “HiMotive Entertainment & Photobooth did a great job keeping our wedding reception fun and upbeat. While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

“Eddie & Dave were awesome! They were our DJ and emcee for our wedding ceremony and reception on August 31. Eddie was easy to communicate with, and was there for us through the whole experience from beginning to end. The second it was dance time, they got the crowd up and out onto the dance floor in a heartbeat, and most didn’t leave the dance floor until the night was over. DJ was good, knew what songs to play, when to play them, and played the ones I wanted. And the emcee was awesome, funny & easily able to get people involved in whatever!! We also rented a Photo Booth through DJ Double E and it was a HUGE hit!! They’re awesome and I would totally book them again!”

The remainder of the reception was an absolute blast, with people dancing through the entire end of the night. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and I credit a lot of that to the energy the band brought. Our guest list spanned multiple generations, so we really needed someone who knew how to read the room and keep everyone engaged. Matt understood this perfectly—he had the dance floor packed all night and blended the music seamlessly. Any concerns we had regarding song lengths or flow, he was already ahead of it. He uses a custom planning form that was incredibly thorough, which made it so easy for us to help structure our timeline and music preferences. It also didn't go unnoticed by our other vendors; they were all very complimentary of how well he managed the energy throughout the night.
