Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great! “Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. The music flowed well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

“Having a band play our Northern Virginia wedding was very important to us. We found Bachelor Boys on Instagram and relished their vibe from the get-go. They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys!”
