“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“Niko did such a great job! Leading up to the wedding he was super invested on making sure all the details were fleshed out and put our worries and stresses to ease. Every phone call with him went perfectly and no question felt too silly! Despite weather problems everything with sound went perfectly. The reception was also amazing, he felt out the vibe perfectly and used songs from our playlist while adapting others to really set the tone. “I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

“What else can we say about DJ Obie? In our wedding planning we requested to have him as our DJ. I had mutual friends from college that knew him and had attended teacher trainings with his significant other. We were told we *might have him as our DJ but our purchase level wouldn’t guarantee it. We were so fortunate to realize we did in fact have him as our DJ. Even throughout the cocktail hour he was lively and entertaining guests. As the reception began, the power/sound went out multiple times, and he powered through. I truly have never seen a wedding DJ more positively encourage and engage guests. “Chris was the DJ at our friends' wedding several years ago, and he was the best DJ we had ever experienced at a wedding.
