For over a decade, the DJs at Kuhl Entertainment have served over 1000 couples from Madison to WI Dells, from San Juan to Key West, and back again. Our commitment to professionalism is evident in every aspect of what we do - from the equipment we use, the people we employ, and the materials we provide to couples in order to streamline your planning process. We're a team of DJs with a range of experience and musical tastes, some of whom have DJed well over 100 weddings with the company. We offer a wide range of services including receptions, ceremony sound, photo booth rental, multimedia packages, uplighting, pinspot lighting, and more.

It is our goal to create a seamless planning experience tailored to the unique needs and musical taste of every couple. For one flat rate, we'll collaborate with you to curate the perfect playlist for your wedding, provide an audio / lighting production that will impress your guests, and act as your point person from start-to-finish. Photo Booth Services

Description

This all-in-one service has everything you need for three action-packed hours of photo snapping fun. Our booths are well-stocked with a variety of fun props, your guests receive printed photo strips to take home, and we'll provide a photo album for you in addition to access to your digital copies at no extra charge. We'll also take care of any design needs for your photo strip and more. (Note: this service is discounted by $200 when booked with the reception DJ service)

    Best Djay in Town!

    We absolutely loved working with Kuhl Entertainment (we had Aaron/Ace as our DJay). From initial questions to booking to planning and then the big day everything was fun and collaborative. Aaron had our dance floor FILLED and ROCKING all night long. I was nervous about missing a particular song (Pink Pony Club obvi) and let Aaron know in advance. I was "stuck" talking to a family member when it first came on. Aaron stopped the music and called me out to the dance floor to make sure I didn't miss it. Kuhl has an excellent system down and helps everyone be organized and on the same page. Aaron was absolutely amazing and felt like a friend by the end of the night.

    Our Negative Experience with Kuhl Entertainment

    It's hard to know where to begin when it comes to our experience with Josh and Greg at Kuhl Entertainment. My goal with this review is to provide a fair and honest account of the experience we had during our October 2025 wedding. I also want to note that we made significant efforts to resolve our concerns with Josh at Kuhl Entertainment prior to posting this review. However, I believe it is important for others to hear about our experience before choosing to work with Kuhl Entertainment. We first met with Josh on December 17, 2024, and had an incredibly positive first interaction and conversation. After this meeting, my wife and I felt excited, motivated, and eager to have Kuhl Entertainment be a part of our day. We left the call feeling very confident that our interaction and Kuhl Entertainment’s reputation justified the 2,500 investment. We had our final event consultation with our DJ, Greg, on September 29, 2025. Once again, we left the meeting feeling reassured and excited, as Greg mentioned several times how much he liked our music choices and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about our event schedule. The event schedule was used to track all of the correct versions of our key songs, activities, and timeline. It was a shared document that everyone reviewed and approved. Fast forward to our wedding day, we did not anticipate that one of the low points of our event would be the services provided by Greg and Kuhl Entertainment. Unfortunately, this is how the evening unfolded and marked the beginning of a series of unprofessional actions by the company. Below is a list of our key complaints based on our experience: 1) Incorrect first dance song: Greg played the wrong song for our first dance. This was not a case of playing a different version of our selected song; instead, he played a song that my wife and I had never heard before that moment. We ultimately decided to end our first dance early and were very disappointed that our chosen song was not played. 2) Missed scheduled speech: Greg did not follow our event schedule and skipped a planned speaking opportunity for my wife's co–maid of honor. This was very disappointing, as it was a special moment for our friends and family to celebrate with us. We then had to spend time on our wedding day reassuring guests that the omission was not intentional. 3) Unprofessional conduct at the bar: Greg repeatedly visited the hosted bar, which was charged by consumption, without our permission or notifying us. This became problematic as lapses in DJ service continued throughout the evening. Greg's visits to the bar were frequent and noticed by guests. We felt that the DJ drinking on our dime without consent was one of the most unprofessional and inappropriate actions of the night. 4) Additional concerns: Throughout the night, we noticed songs being repeated, awkward guest engagement, and several reports that the DJ smelled of alcohol. In our attempt to resolve these complaints with Josh at Kuhl Entertainment, we reached out via email on October 28, 2025, just days after our event, and presented our list of concerns. When we did not receive a response, we followed up on October 30, November 3, and November 4, 2025. We did not hear back from Josh in a meaningful or concerned way. His only response, sent on November 4, stated that he had been too busy with another wedding vendor venture and had not had a chance to review our message, he offered no empathy or concern for the issues we raised.

    Greg and Kuhl Entertainment are the best!

    We had the pleasure of working with Greg from Kuhl Entertainment for our wedding, and we couldn't recommend him highly enough. Throughout the planning process, Greg was extremely responsive and collaborative, always open to our ideas while also providing helpful insight and direction to make sure the music and entertainment was perfectly tailored to us as a couple. He took the time to meet with us ahead of time and really understand the vibe we envisioned for our big day. Greg then expertly translated our vision into an incredible musical experience that had all our guests raving. His song choices, emceeing, and energy absolutely exceeded our expectations and elevated the entire event. The dance floor was packed all night thanks to Greg's infectious enthusiasm and stellar DJ skills. We're so grateful that he was such an integral part of making our wedding celebration so special and fun. Anyone looking for a talented, dedicated wedding DJ should look no further than Greg and Kuhl Entertainment - they are simply the best!

    Perfection + Professionalism

    The Kuhl team was incredible from start to finish! From our first call to the day of the wedding they were incredibly buttoned up. Our dance floor didn’t clear out once all night. They played the music we loved and had the perfect flow, keeping the party going until the end of the night. We continue to get compliments from our friends and family about how awesome Josh and team were. Cannot recommend highly enough if having an incredible dance floor is important to you!

Everything you’ll need. Music Unlimited music during cocktail hour, dinner, and your reception. Usually it’s about eight hours total but we don’t charge for more time. Uplighting Free uplighting for the entire perimeter of your room is also included at no extra charge. Microphone We’ll provide a wireless microphone for speeches and toasts. Flow We’ll take care of announcements and introductions as requested, assist with emceeing, and keep things aligned with your desired timing.
$700 - 900 The cost is $900 if booked a la carte. When booking our photo booth service along with our wedding reception DJ service, we reduce the photo booth cost by $200, to $700.
It depends on which services you're considering. Most people hire us as both a reception DJ along with a ceremony sound technician, which is $2,300. We offer standalone reception DJ services for $1,900. If you’d like an estimate, along with a breakdown of pricing, please choose which services you’re interested in.
You bet! We’ll arrive early to handle setting up and sound check, so you’ll never need to worry about the technical stuff. Our ceremony services include high quality speakers and a microphone for your officiant. We’ve also handled many weddings with stringed instrument groups and we’ve assisted with amplifying their audio.
Yes. Our contract clearly outlines what you can expect from us, in advance, and the day of your wedding.
Yes. We’ve been fully insured since 2006 and we’ve had zero incidents. Your guests deserve to enjoy the time of their life with safety and confidence.
Yes please, we love music! Most often, we can acquire just about anything you’d like us to play. Before your event, we’ll work with you to create the perfect balance of musical selections that you love along with those jams that will keep your dance floor packed with friends and family.
Absolutely. This is your day. Our DJs will always play requested music when it’s aligned with your wishes and desires for your event. We’re professional DJs who consider the environment, audience, and flow when deciding what music will come next. We’ll avoid things like the Chicken Dance altogether, unless you tell us otherwise.
Communication with you. Your wedding playlist is like a recipe: two parts your musical taste, one part crowd-pleasers that keep your dance floor moving, a dash of classics, a pinch of pleasant surprises and a generous portion of flow. Mix it all together and you’ve got a deliciously danceable pie of your favorite flavor. Your DJ knows what ingredients to use because your DJ knows you. You’ll meet with your DJ before your big day and you’ll determine the style—together. During these meetings, you and your DJ will talk about your vision and your guests.

Since 2010 Kuhl Entertainment has been in business since 2010. The founder, Josh Kuhl, has been a wedding DJ since 2003. Kuhl Entertainment DJs, as a whole, have over 50 years worth of combined experience. Most of our DJs keep their skills sharp by performing non-wedding events around Madison during the off-season.
Just about anywhere! Our time is mostly spent in Wisconsin but we’ve been contracted for events in Puerto Rico, California, and Florida.
