A Chicago based DJ that has worked events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City, Miami, and Internationally. He likes to draw from from his roots in Houston, New Orleans and current home of Chicago to create a fun atmosphere for his clients. Graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana and Tulane University in New Orleans, this former social worker knows a good party.

I am a DJ first that adapted and learned to do weddings in a professional and fun way. I initially DJ'd in bars and clubs in college on Bourbon Street, around New Orleans, and in Chicago for years before I learned to do weddings in 2015. I quit my job in the professional world in 2017 and blended that professional demeanor with my club DJ experience to create a unique client experience for a variety of events.

    Highly recommend DJ Chris Kidd

    Chris was the DJ at our friends' wedding several years ago, and he was the best DJ we had ever experienced at a wedding. When we found out he lived in the Chicago area, we immediately knew we wanted to hire him for our own wedding. DJ Chris was just as incredible as we'd remembered. We were dancing all night with our guests and got so many compliments on the music. He also set up the sound for our ceremony officiant and a string quartet, and he had all the equipment we needed for the ceremony and reception. We can't thank him enough for creating the exact experience we'd hoped for our wedding, and I highly recommend him!

    Exceptional Vibes

    Chris was an incredible DJ! We had a clear vision and script for each part of our wedding day, and he took our scrambled instructions and executed them flawlessly. So many of our guests complimented the music—he truly made our wedding the party we had envisioned. He was professional, communicative, and helped set up various microphone spots for speeches and the ceremony. Chris is everything you need in a DJ. We can't recommend him enough!

    Listens to Couples Vibes and Transitions with Ease

    DJ Chriss was so great to work with for my husband and I's wedding day. We really took our time to create a more modern wedding playlist from ceremony, to cocktail hour, and into reception as we wanted a more upbeat and lively atmosphere that is in sync with who we are as a couple rather than your standard classic wedding playlist we've heard over and over that we can't really dance to the way we would like. He listened to us and appreciated the list we sent over while understanding our taste and adding some songs to it throughout the wedding day that made for an amazing time that our guests can't stop talking about! -Kristin and Ryan Roberts 6.25.22

    Awesome DJ!

    I didn't have an idea about exact music to play for my wedding but I was able to describe the vibe I wanted and DJ Kidd exceeded my expectations! He was able to read the room and play music based on the vibe I was going for which turned out to be perfect. Definitely highly recommend!!!

I dress according to the dress code of each event. I try to stay comfortable and adhere to the vibe of the crowd.
I customize each event based on the musical preferences of the client. I do nt have a preset list of songs or a library that you choose from. If you like it, I can find it and play it. I DJ a ton outside of weddings so I try to stay on top of music in most genres.
I'm sure other musicians and DJs are great, and I know some are because I work closely with many in the Chicago area. I just try to be transparent and straightforward. I am not trying to sell you on anything that you do not need or want. I am a DJ that loves music and try to bring a nice mix of artistry and professionalism to the wedding scene.
Of course, as long as it fits what the couple wants. I work with the couple to see what they don't want me to play, and if a guest ask for something the couple doesn't want I just tell them I don't have it. Simple.
Yes, multiple sound setups in different locations are included in my pricing. Ceremonies are an additional fee.
I've DJd Bollywood, Persian, Irish, Polish, Brazilian, Mexican, Nigerian, and that's just the one's I can think of off the top of my head. I DJ 200+ events/gigs a year and my clients provide me with an opportunity to play to an extremely diverse selection of crowds.
Yes I am fully insured and can provide COIs as needed.
I typically like to arrive no later than 2 hours before for setup. Depending on the venue and number of locations, I may come earlier as needed. However, I will also work with the venue and make sure my arrival time works for them as well.
I'm a DJ first and foremost. I provide sound setup for up to 500 people, dance floor lighting, wireless microphones, wired mics, MC services, and uplighting. I can provide additional services through my partnerships with other entertainment companies int he Chicago area. I do not markup the pricing if I provide an additional service from a partner company.
All inclusive in my quote pricing. There is no additional fee for travel, setup or breakdown. Once you're quoted a price, everything is included.
