“We had our wedding at Skyview Golf Club, and I truly can’t say enough great things about the entire experience — from the very beginning of the planning process all the way through to the big day. Our coordinator, Jenn, was absolutely amazing. She and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Jenn was organized, responsive, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. Her calm and confident presence made planning so much less stressful, and on the day of, she was a total rockstar — making sure every detail was perfect so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. The staff overall was incredible — attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They made us and our guests feel so well taken care of. “We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Blenheim Hill Farm. From the first time we visited, we knew there was something incredibly special about the property, but our actual wedding weekend exceeded every expectation we had. The farm itself is absolutely stunning. It feels romantic, intimate and completely tucked away, and having so many different spaces throughout the property made the entire weekend feel like an experience rather than just one wedding day. Being able to stay at the farmhouse and spend that extra time on the property with our closest family and friends was one of our favorite parts. The entire Blenheim team was incredible. There are so many moving pieces that go into a wedding, and by the time the weekend arrived, we genuinely felt like we could hand everything over to them and just enjoy ourselves. Everything flowed so seamlessly, and we felt completely taken care of from beginning to end. Our guests noticed it too - we received so many compliments about how beautiful everything was and how attentive and wonderful the staff were. And the FOOD! We knew going into the wedding that food was one of Blenheim’s strengths, but it somehow managed to be even better on the actual wedding day. Everything felt thoughtful, seasonal and special, and we are still hearing from guests about how much they loved it. What we appreciated most about Blenheim is that it never felt like a cookie-cutter wedding venue. The property has so much character and natural beauty, and we were able to create a weekend that genuinely felt like us. Looking back, there really isn’t another place we can imagine having gotten married. Our wedding at Blenheim was everything we hoped it would be - beautiful, relaxed, personal, incredibly fun and filled with the people we love. We would choose Blenheim all over again in a heartbeat and are so grateful to everyone there for giving us a weekend we will never forget.”

“We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out at Mountainville Manor. The venue is beautiful, but the real magic is Lauren and James and the rest of the Mountainville Manor team. They were so accommodating and hard working, making our day feel personal and stress free. It was a huge help to have their vendor recommendations as a starting point, and all of the vendors were great too! I have had so many of our guests tell me how much they enjoyed the wedding, especially the food. Someone even told me that the steak was the best they ever had! All of the food was so good. I only hope someone I know decides to get married there so I can experience Mountainville Manor as a guest. It was special to have all of our family and friends in a place that made us feel like family. The day felt easy and fun for us and our guests. Thank you Mountainville Manor!”

“Phoenicia Diner went above and beyond when communicating with my wife and I about options, and assisted us through the entire process. It was more difficult getting my suit tailored than arranging to have our wedding here. The food was outstanding and all our guests loved it, and they even made great NA beverages because my wife and I don’t drink (they ended up being the most purchased drink at the bar, actually). Aside from how good everything there was, the price is so reasonable when you consider you’re getting married in one of the most popular places in the Catskills with awards and nods from huge publications like NYT. It was so special to get married in the diner, and I would pick it all over again if I had to. I’ve been to a number of weddings at fancy places with bad food and atmosphere with nothing special about it. The diner was the opposite of that- excellent food, really fun atmosphere, and incredibly special.”

“If anyone were to ask me what my favorite part of my wedding was I’d have to say “Black Walnut Farm!” What a remarkable experience it has been to work with Sarah, Jim, Lish, Lindsey, and of course, Miss Lilly! My partner and I didn’t even bother viewing another venue because we could instantly feel how special the BWF property was — we called 30 minutes after our tour and said we were ready for the contract and deposit. Even still Black Walnut Farm far exceeded our expectations! Everything about this venue is so thoughtfully curated and managed. There is just so much care and consideration that has gone into every inch of this very special place! My partner and I decided to have a “honeymoon” week during the week of the wedding; we chose to have the extended package where we stayed on the property just the two of us. Unwinding in front of the fireplace while playing chess and drinking wine was such a lovely way to relax the night before. The sunroom is the perfect place for getting ready the morning of the wedding! After our wedding (in lieu of an after party) we just asked to have the hot tub ready for us, which was the best move ever! Most importantly, the BWF team were so kind and patient, cool and collected. In the face of some extreme family drama and chaotic spring weather they always rolled with the punches. I felt that I could trust them fully and always felt safe and cared for. I was not afraid to defer to their expertise in the midst of the chaos, and I do not regret any of those decisions! In fact, the backup rain plan ended up being better than the original plan! Thank you again, Black Walnut Farm. You have created something so very, very special and we will be eternally grateful!”

“My husband and I got married at Hotel Lilien last September and the entire weekend exceeded our wildest expectations. Coordinating with Daniel and Jules was excellent throughout the entire process and they responded timely with answers, solutions, and suggestions. The staff was very flexible and was able to adapt to decisions that were made the week before based on weather. Throughout our entire stay they were extremely attentive and helpful with all requests, specifically Chris, Jason, Anthony, and Kiera. They really made our weekend perfect. Each room was pristine when we arrived and every single attendee mentioned how much they loved the accommodations. The food was also amazing, people couldn’t stop talking about the grilled cheese, tomato soup, and charcuterie/burrata boards. Looking back on our wedding as a whole, choosing Hotel Lilien was the perfect decision and we are so grateful for their entire staff making the whole experience so magical. The hotel has so much history and the original owner’s daughter, Meta Lilienthal, has a personal memoir called Dear Remembered World and the book describes her life in both Manhattan and Upstate back in the 1890s. While the property is now a hotel, the new owners have managed to expertly craft an environment that makes you feel right at home. Couldn’t recommend more!”

“An absolute dream of a wedding venue! I recently got married at FVM in early September and could not recommend more. So many positive things to say… see below! First and foremost, the venue is tucked away in the most charming area of the Hudson Valley, surrounded by beautiful greenery and very well-kept grounds. Our guests not only raved about how gorgeous the space was, but also how fantastic the food was (s/o to the King, Chef Charlie), how the drinks were superb (a wedding essential), and how the staff was super helpful and friendly (thank you FVM team)! However, the true gem behind it all is Kerri—the amazing owner of the venue who also becomes your planner/coordinator and helps make the magic happen! Kerri is the most passionate, hardworking gal in the business. She will LITERALLY do anything and everything to make her couples wedding day a dream. As someone who recently relocated to the west coast and was planning our wedding from afar, Kerri went above and beyond to help make our planning experience seamless. She was super cost-conscious and accommodating, helping customize every element of our day and reflect our true vision. Even when the weather was looking not so good and I was stressing (emphasis on the stress), the FVM team had plans A-Z to ensure the day went on perfectly no matter what. And of course Kerri did everything and more to shuffle some things around so that the whole experience and day of remained seamless. What can’t this woman do?? An extra special shout out to her husband Frank who is the man behind the scenes keeping the space perfectly manicured and gorgeous! And of course kudos to my queen Mia (my personal bridal attendant for the day) who kept me dry from the weather, well fed, and took care of us all night! Final comment: this venue is unlike any venue we toured. It is not only a unique and charming space, but also so personable. In fact, through our venue touring process, FVM stood out as the only one to be so focused and dedicated to your event (vs just being another wedding on their list, booking couples back-to-back-to-back, etc.). Kerri, Frank, and the FVM staff truly have the best hearts and complete emotional ownership to your day, making your wedding experience like no other. The biggest and warmest thank you, thank you, thank you! And look no further for where to have your wedding!”

  • Promotes a party atmosphere

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • On-site parking not available
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
“Choosing to have our wedding at Camp Timber Lake was probably the single most important decision we made during the planning process. The camp setting gave us the opportunity to create something far more immersive, personal, and joyful than we had imagined, and the camp / Gatheround staff and everyone involved in the planning process gave us the ability to execute on making all our dreams come true! In the months leading up to the wedding, we worked closely with Will, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and on top of every detail. He always made time to talk through our many questions and helped accommodate some of our more unconventional requests—from having Camp Timber Lake cater our Sunday reception dinner (which we highly recommend!) to brainstorming the best locations for a nighttime game of kick the can. The camp itself is absolutely beautiful and was perfectly manicured for our arrival. There were endless activities for our guests to enjoy, and the staff placed sports equipment throughout the property so everyone could immediately jump into whatever interested them. Our guests had so much fun exploring the grounds, tossing frisbees and footballs, shooting hoops, and making the camp their own for the weekend. The staff including Reggie, Scott, Liz, Willow, Marcie, and so many others, were AMAZING. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the weekend special. Scott and Liz stayed on top of every detail, and the entire team continually went above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome and cared for. When one of our guests lost her phone in the dining hall after hours, the team turned the lights back on and helped her search for it. After she mentioned that she was having trouble turning on the heat in her cabin, they walked over to help, then returned 15 minutes later with brownies and ice cream for her and her cabin-mates as a nice surprise. Another favorite moment happened on the dance floor Saturday night. We had brought bubble guns but realized too late that they required batteries we didn’t have. We’d given up on using them, but when Willow (one of the camp staff) overheard a friend say, “I wish we had batteries for these bubble guns.” he went and tracked down batteries from TV remotes around the camp on his own accord and got the bubble guns working. They ended up being a huge hit! Moments like these, and so many others, made us feel completely at home and made our guests feel incredibly well cared for. The food was also outstanding. We received rave reviews about every meal. The team went out of its way to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, providing hearty vegan and vegetarian options at every meal. They even prepared a special plate every meal for my mom, who has an autoimmune disorder that prevents her from eating most spices. The team also decorated dishes with edible flowers and made everything look beautiful. For our reception dinner on the final night, they even came up with the idea of displaying leftover Boy Scout patches from one of our weekend activities along the buffet counter. It was the perfect thoughtful touch. We had multiple guests tell us that this was their favorite wedding they had ever attended, and Camp Timber Lake (and the wonderful people who run it) were a huge reason why. Thank you for giving us and our guests such a magical, joyful, and unforgettable weekend. It truly was the best weekend of our lives! Can’t recommend this wedding venue enough!”

“We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! “Staff all around is the best staff you can ask for. Chef Dave, I will never stop craving his tenderloin! He truly has a passion of making the best food for each wedding. Our guest still text me about all his food. Brittany was amazing. I had last minute changes out of my control and she always found the best way to make things work! Tim the Banquet manager was always around ready to make sure it all ran smoothly. Ryan the lift operations manager kept Brittany updated on the weather day of and when it didn’t look good at the bottom he drove up to make sure he truly had say no to us going to the summit (it was 30 degrees with 45 kt winds) he and his crew opened the lift for 2 hours the next day so we could still get our summit pictures and they all had smiles on their faces. Truly every staff member had an impact in making our day more than we could of dreamed for! “When we started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted our guests to truly experience the simple beauty of the Hudson Valley. That is what led us to the Abeel House. Our entire day was magical. I walked down the aisle on a little pebble path, surrounded on both sides by wildflowers. Our wedding guests were seated on hay bales in the prairie, the sun on their backs and the stream behind them. After our ceremony, we celebrated in the restored barn behind the historic Dutch stone house. We split the barn into three sections — one to seat our guests for dinner, one for the dance floor, drinks, and dessert tables, and one for the local bluegrass band we hired. As evening came, we turned on the twinkle lights in the barn and danced the night away. You could see the stars through the open windows.”

“We loved our wedding at ElmRock Inn! The venue is gorgeous and I had the time of my life. Staying onsite was amazing. I highly recommend ElmRock. The chef is fantastic and we will remember our wedding fondly for the rest of our lives. There were a few negatives during our stay, but we are still very glad that we got married at ElmRock. The first negative was that the water in the BnB and carriage house (where bride/groom stayed) kept running out at night. This was pretty annoying, but not a huge issue since the water was usually fine by morning. Second, the venue coordinator was pretty rude throughout the weekend and especially to my family. Many people at the wedding commented about how rude she was (and the fact that she wore white pants to our wedding!). The rest of the staff was nicer, though a couple of the servers were also rude, just not as bad. I expected the staff to be more accommodating and welcoming the entire weekend, but it really felt more like we were getting scolded at times. Lastly, they served my wedding cake really cold and had clearly forgotten to take it out of the fridge to get to room temperature before serving. That was quite frustrating, especially since I heard them talking about how I (the bride) needed to hurry up to start the cake cutting while I was changing, but the cake wasn't even ready! Overall, the venue is gorgeous and we had a lovely time. I think the experience would be improved by some updating to their plumbing and getting a coordinator that's nicer to their customers. The food was AMAZING and the chef is fantastic, just be warned if you're sensitive to people who can be rude/unaccommodating.”

Knowing that the vast majority of our guests would have to fly in to our wedding, no matter where we had it, it was important to us that we had a venue we could book for the whole weekend. Combined with all of the amenities Wylder offers, it was a no-brainer. The wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the incredible staff, particularly Andrea and Faith. From the moment of our first phone call until we were leaving the farewell brunch, they took care of us every step of the way. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and Wylder truly felt like our home for the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a beautiful venue (with a lovely rain/cold weather location, which we ended up using), incredible food, and great service!”
