She listened to our concerns about getting some of our guests to dance and gave us a lot of great advice going into the wedding day, like adding dance floor props to get everyone engaged and adjusting our anniversary dance so everyone ends up on the dance floor. She worked with us and curated a great wedding playlist. Our guests complimented us on what a great DJ she was. Everyone loved seeing her behind the booth, dancing along with the guests. At one point, one of our guests dropped a glass and she played “Heart of Glass” right after, which was perfectly timed (lol). She really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy up while still playing some of our silly requests. She curated a great mashup for the mother/son dance. My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. She even took videos during the ceremony and reception and shared them with me afterwards which is something I did not expect but was so grateful to have. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

As PSU alumni, we had mentioned that we wanted to enter the reception to a PSU song. “Jeanyo Entertainment couldn't have been more perfect for our wedding! To start off the communication from the beginning of booking until the day of the wedding was responsive. Jeanyo was attentive our music taste and really wanted as much input from us as possible. We knew Jeanyo was going to take his duties seriously when he scheduled a zoom meeting between us and the wedding planner. He really used this time to pick our ear music wise, get our "Do Not Play List", and get our "Must Play List". The equipment the Jeanyo used was top notch. The audio was loud and clear for the outdoor ceremony. The timing of the songs that we selected to play for the bridal party, groom, and bride was seamless. We really appreciated the fact that he was able to incorporate specific audio files that we personally sent him. Where Jeanyo really shined was the reception!!! Since the music started and dinner was served, the dance floor was never empty the entire night. A lot of my guest came up to me saying "that was the most fun wedding I've ever been to!" We owe a big part these reactions to Jeanyo. Jeanyo not only perfectly incorporated our playlist into the reception, but his MC skills was on point. Hyping the crowd up, giving instructions on specific songs, announcements without interrupting the vibe were some of the MC skills he exhibited. Despite it being a reception he really gave it that high end club like feeling. The Mix of the music really united the diverse crowd, but really had people out of their seats when he tapped into the south Florida/Haitian Music. I still remember when Jeanyo got on the mic and said "Alright everybody we have 30 Minutes left". I genuinely couldn't believe how fast time was flying because we were having too much fun. We were recommended to Jeanyo by a friend of ours who had him for their wedding, and we are lucky to have gotten that recommendation. 5 out of 5 stars from the wife and I. We highly recommend Jeanyo for your wedding or any event the requires a DJ/MC.”

They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. “We had the pleasure of working with DJ Wong from MyDeejay. A quick review of MyDeejay: They were excellent to work with. They paired us with DJ Wong after we filled out a quick survey about the vibe we wanted for our wedding, and it was smooth sailing from there. It's clear from working DJ Wong that MyDeejay vets their DJs very well and ensures they're all professional and great to work with. Now for DJ Wong: He's got all of the main things you want in a vendor--professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, etc.), but he goes well above and beyond those standards. He provided ceremony music, background music, reception music, and uplighting, but that's just the starting point of everything he did for us. We were PICKY and we had A LOT of requests, and he accommodated them all flawlessly and eagerly. We requested he alter versions of some of our selected songs to adjust for timing, blending parts of songs together, and very particular transitions between songs. He made everything sound amazing! We had not 1, not 2, but FIVE choreographed dances throughout the evening, and he executed the timing of everything perfectly. The sound was incredible! In addition to that, because we were completely over-the-top for our wedding, DJ Wong so graciously and excitedly fulfilled our request to have KARAOKE at our reception. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a very particular vibe in mind from our wedding--we wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner to be classy and jazzy, and then for the reception dancing we wanted a mix of Pop anthems from the past 3 decades--DJ Wong understood the assignment perfectly! We were also at a very large venue and he had to provide sound across many different areas throughout the evening, but he came fully prepared and did an excellent job. We received so many compliments about the ambience for the entire evening, and we attribute that to him! On top of everything else, DJ Wong is an excellent MC and can read a room flawlessly. He kept the vibes up the entire evening, and struck the perfect balance of engaging with the audience and letting the music do the work. We are so grateful we had him for our special day!”

From the beginning, the conversations felt like the perfect balance of professional and personal, which made the entire process so comfortable. He even had us throw down on the turntable and it was such a fun and unique moment that everyone loved!! It really was electric during party time! Mark is also so friendly and personable.
