Mint DJ & Event Group is a team of expert wedding and event DJs based in State College, PA. Founded in Happy Valley by Penn State alum Alex Nepa, we DJ weddings across Central Pennsylvania, from Altoona and Johnstown to Lewisburg, Williamsport, and State College. We plan with you one-on-one, host the announcements, and mix the music live. Tell us what you love, what you don't want to hear, and how you want the night to feel. From ceremony sound to the last song of the reception, one team handles it all, and the dance floor stays packed until the end.

Different DJs, same Mint standard. We read the room and play the right song at the right time. We mix instead of pressing play: seamless transitions, no dead air, no laptop shuffle. And we host, not just DJ. Every couple gets planning meetings with their DJ plus our #MyMint online planner for must-plays, do-not-plays, and the timeline.     Amazing DJ experience!!

    We feel so grateful to have worked with Alex for our wedding. He was absolutely incredible to work with from the moment we booked him until our wedding night was over. It truly relieved so much planning stress knowing how much trust we could have in him and didn’t have to worry about something so important to the wedding we wanted to have. He masterfully set up AV for both an outdoor ceremony and an indoor cocktail hour and reception. His live music transitions were amazing, and worked the crowd for audience of all ages. We’re still getting compliments about how awesome the music and Alex was months later. We cannot recommend this team enough.

    Dj Alex Nepa Made Our Wedding Unforgettable!

    Alex Nepa absolutely killed it at our wedding! He kept the dance floor packed all night, and everything flowed flawlessly from start to finish. His transitions were seamless, and he did an incredible job mixing different genres of music so that guests of all ages were out on the dance floor having a great time. One of the highlights was the custom mashup he put together as a surprise for my wife, combining the Hamilton soundtrack with popular songs. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made the night even more special! Beyond the music, Alex was a true professional and an outstanding MC. He kept everything running smoothly, and his communication throughout the entire wedding planning process was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ or a better experience. We can’t thank Alex and the Mint DJ & Event Group team enough for helping make our wedding so memorable. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows how to read a crowd, keep the energy high, and make your night truly special, we highly recommend Alex Nepa!

    Wedding Dj!

    We cannot recommend Alex Nepa with Mint DJ enough! He was absolutely amazing at our wedding and helped make our special day so unforgettable! From start to finish, he kept the energy up, played the perfect music, and made sure everyone was having a great time. We received SO many compliments from our guests about how great he was! He truly went above and beyond to make our reception everything we hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows how to keep the party going and make your wedding day extra special, Alex is your guy!     Best Wedding DJ Ever!!

    We could not have had a better experience with Alex Nepa as our wedding DJ! We received so many compliments from guests that the music playlist was one of (if not THE) best that they’ve ever seen at a wedding! Alex had such cool transitions between songs and did an amazing job of gauging what would get the crowd going. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! As PSU alumni, we had mentioned that we wanted to enter the reception to a PSU song. Alex took that idea and ran with it - creating an AWESOME mashup of PSU fight songs and even included the lion’s roar sound from the stadium! Our guests absolutely loved it. Throughout the entire planning process, Alex was extremely helpful and responsive. He uses a user-friendly website that includes a thorough questionnaire to understand our music preferences, must-play songs, and do-not play songs. Our guests also loved the photobooth that Alex provided. The photos turned out a little blurry, but I think that’s just because of the neon sign that we chose to hang in the backdrop. He also brought such great energy to the wedding and was truly a joy to work with and have on the mic!

    Phenomenal!!

    We used Alex for our wedding (ceremony and reception) and I cannot recommend him enough! Leading up to our wedding he was very organized and thorough, providing a detailed questionnaire and video consult to plan the day. The ceremony and wedding were flawless - so many people commented on how great he was at our reception and in the days after. He had the crowd of all ages up on the dance floor all night. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a wedding!!

Our wedding DJ packages start at $2,295, and most couples invest between $2,295 and $4,250 depending on hours and add-ons. The reception package runs from cocktail hour through the end of your reception (or 11pm, whichever comes first) and includes your DJ, sound system, wireless mics for toasts, MC announcements, and travel. Ceremony sound and uplighting ($595) are add-ons.
About 30 minutes of prelude music as guests arrive, a wireless lapel mic for your officiant, mics for vows and readings, and a complete sound system for your processional and recessional. We can also amplify live instruments.
We're based in Boalsburg, just outside State College, and DJ weddings across Central Pennsylvania, including State College and Penn State, Altoona, Johnstown, Lewisburg, and Williamsport. We also travel for destination weddings.
