Hey there! I'm Jade, your photographer friend based in Moline, IL. If you were to ask me how I got into photography I could tell you about all of the moments I had with cameras and film growing up. My mom was always taking photos of me and her surroundings and she passed that habit on to me. I received my own digital camera as a gift for my birthday the summer before going to middle school, and since then, I've been passionate about capturing life's moments, both big and small.

I started photographing stories when I realized how quickly life moves. One moment you’re in it, and the next, it’s already a memory. But a photograph can hold time still, if only for a second. When I married my husband in 2020, we chose small and intimate over grand and crowded. We were surrounded by our people, and it was the most imperfect, beautiful, and completely us day. It showed me that your wedding day isn’t about the perfect details, it’s about the people, the emotion, and the quiet kind of wonder that comes from having everyone you love in one place. That’s the heart of my work.

My passion for photography and weddings began when I was very young. I staged Barbie weddings, making their dresses from Kleenex, then snuck Mom’s camera to take pictures of them. I moved on to dressing up my little sister in a pillowcase veil, again sneaking Mom’s camera. When she got tired of me using up all her film, she brought home several Bride magazines from the free pile at the library and I spent hours reading them, then pinning pages of beautiful wedding dresses on the ceiling of my bedroom. When “The Wedding Planner” came out in 2001, my fate was sealed

I have 12 years of photography experience, 9 years in the industry and have shot more than 200 weddings. Safe to say, this IS my passion. Couples and wedding photography can be SO stressful--the pressure to look and be a certain way or follow trends is INTENSE. Wedding stress is real and I am anti it all the way.
