For me, wedding photography begins with candid storytelling — the unscripted glances, the laughter, the quiet breath before a first look. After twenty years behind the camera, photographing a wide range of weddings across many different styles and settings, I still feel genuine excitement for every couple and every story I get to document. Those honest, in-between moments are what make each day unrepeatable, and capturing them is the part I love most.

For the longest time, I wondered what made a great photographer? Is it an expensive camera and equipment, or maybe the extensive education and fancy extra letter in your degree? The answer became clear to me that everyone can take a photo, but not just anyone can capture a moment. I'll never forget the first time I went to the Rocky Mountains with my family, I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful everything was. I clearly remember thinking I HAD to get as many pictures as I could so I would never forget a single second of that vacation. And from that moment on, a love of capturing memories emerged. In college, I landed a job as a photographer for the newspaper and was a TA for film photography. I chose a major in psychology, but admittedly, I spent most of my time shooting events on campus or in the dark room obsessing about the perfect exposure.
