Hi, I’m Carli! I’m the owner and lead photographer behind Cedar + Bloom, based in Washington, Iowa. I’m also a wife, mom of four, and Facebook marketplace addict. I’ve spent the last decade photographing weddings, and I still get a little emotional watching people marry their favorite person. My photographs are warm, earthy, and full of life. I love a beautiful portrait, but I’m just as drawn to your mom tearing up, your grandparents holding hands, and the laughter you couldn’t recreate if you tried. Those are the things I want you to have years from now.

I care just as much about how you feel while we’re taking your photos as I do about the photos themselves. You can count on me for direction when you need it, room to be yourselves, and an answer to “what do I do with my hands?” After ten years of weddings, I know when to step in and when to let a moment happen. Cedar + Bloom is also a family effort: my daughter photographs alongside me, and my husband handles video. We love getting to know our couples, so by the wedding day, there’s already a familiar face in your corner!
