At the end of the day, all we have are the stories told about us and the ones we write about ourselves. I love writing about the musings of life and sharing my thoughts with others in conversation and social media posts. I constantly document my own life so I don't forget the big or little moments. Every time I travel to somewhere new I love connecting with those who cross my path, and yet I love coming home to my dog. TLDR: sentimental soul, avid movie goer, mental health advocate, and decent chocolate chip cookie maker.

    The Best

    Rachael Marie Photography was an incredible choice for our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, Rachael was quick to respond to all of our questions and communicated clearly with us throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, she was fun, caring, and gave great direction to help us look our best in the photos. The final photos were absolutely gorgeous - moody, high-quality, and reliable. We especially loved getting a quick preview of some of the photos just a few days after the wedding. Rachael truly captured the magic of our special day, and we couldn't be happier with the results.     What Word is Better than Perfect

    Rachael was our photographer for our September 2023 wedding. There is no question that she was the absolute best person we could have had for such a special day. From beginning to end Rach helped us plan and execute our vision. We were not using a wedding planner, so she helped us get a lot of details and timelines on track. She also made sure we had fun and were able to relax through the whole process. On our wedding day Rach showed up ready to go and excited for a fun day. She captured so many beautiful moments between our first look, moments with family, ceremony, and reception. She also gifted us a moment alone to talk and take in the day just the two of us - it was so special and intimate. I will always cherish the memories and details she captured for us. Rachael also did our engagement shoot a few months before the wedding and those photos are so incredibly breathtaking. Some people have such a talent and artistry in what they do and Rachael is one of those people. If you are looking for someone who will become your friend, make you feel beautiful, and most importantly capture these special moments in a way that brings back every emotion of life and love when you look back at the photos, we 10000% recommend Rachael.

    Don’t Hesistate!

    where do i even begin? we were so blessed to have Rachael with us on our special day. we hired Carissa for our wedding photography & chose to have her bring an extra shooter with & BOOM! we somehow got blessed with Rachael as our bonus. i could go on about everything from her amazing personality, the positivity & happiness absolutely exuding from her at all times, her killer taste in music, the sheer talent that is her photography skills (both behind the camera & assisting in posing with such ease), to the way she somehow makes it feel like an old friend is with you every step of your wedding day (even if it’s the first day you met her), wrapping you in her beautiful scarf to keep you warm between photos & the ceremony because you were shivering, & is even willing to join your friends and family on the dance floor amidst capturing the most amazing memories for you. never did i feel rushed, if anything she helped me keep my cool about my timeline & helped ease so much of my anxiety about it. okay, i know what you’re thinking, “amy this seems like an excessive rant for a wedding photographer.” BUT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!! our photography was one part of our wedding we were willing to splurge on, & if i hadn’t decided we absolutely needed a second photographer for the day then i would have never been absolutely blessed with Rachael. not only did she capture so many of our posed moments, but more importantly the candid moments that i was too busy spinning around like a maniac to notice & are now some of my favorite pictures. our photographers are one part of our day that i will FOREVER absolutely rave about to everyone & always recommend to future brides because i want them to be able to experience the same beautiful souls & genuinely perfect encounter i got that day. Rachael is the kind of person you want to reach out to when you’re thinking about future photoshoots, & who makes you want to do photoshoots just for an excuse to get to experience both her presence & her absolute talent again. if you were debating hiring Rachael, PLEASE don’t second guess it. you will NOT be disappointed. (did i mention the photos she delivered are simply out of this freakin’ world?! because OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS!)

Absolutely! Once the 30% nonrefundable retainer is down to reserve your date, the online invoice will trigger and then a payment plan is put in place. We can work together on a payment schedule that fits your budget, whether it's 5 payments or monthly up until your date.
Previews of your wedding day are completed and sent to you within 48 hours of saying “I do!” I’ll send you a text when they’ve dropped into your inbox. Full wedding galleries are completed and sent within 6-10 weeks.
Heck yes!! There's an engagement / couples contact form on my website you can fill out to do that first. WHY do an engagement session first? That session allows you to know how it feels being photographed by me so you know what it would be like on your wedding day. It's also a great time to document your life on a day that's not jam-packed with wedding guests. Please note I do not save wedding dates until a deposit is made and a contract is signed for your **wedding date.**
Did you elope just the two of you?? If so OMG go you!!! YES I do receptions only. It's not uncommon for folks to get married somewhere out of state and then want to have a party with their local friends and family. I’ll be there: photographing speeches, dances, conversations, lawn games, you name it! Great question! One way is going to the Sangamon County Courthouse- I have photographed 6 of those weddings and they are lovely! Couples can also elope in their favorite nature spot with an officianted person- whether it be from a church or if their best friend got ordained for the event. Eloping is your day- your way, and if you want beautiful, heartfelt images of those moments, you have every right to.
