We built White Elm so that we could serve more couples, and at more affordable prices. We have team members based throughout several states so we can offer our services near you, with no additional travel costs!     Videography for Wedding

    The two associated from White Elm Films were professional, kind and worked well with all other vendors. They both made us feel very comfortable and we are so excited to see what they produced from our special day! Would highly recommend!

    Save yourself & book someone else

    We hired this company for our June 2023 wedding. At the time I hired them, there were so many glowing reviews. Their contract clearly states that any time from your event date to 16 weeks later, you'll have your films. We expected them mid-October, but I was the one to realize that they were 4 days late without notifying us. Not a big deal at first, so I reached out for an update on the process. The manager emailed back saying she'd look into it & give us an update. A few days go by, no update. I reach out again, this time they were waiting on compressed footage & we should have it in the next 2 days. 2 days goes by, no film. I emailed again, no response. At this point, its 3-4 weeks after the agreed upon contractual timeframe. I emailed one more time requesting an update, which took over 24 hours to be answered. I sent a certified letter to the business, stating that if we didn't receive the films in 14 business days from the receipt of the letter, we'd file with small claims court. A few days go by, and we finally received our footage about 6 weeks after the contractual timeline. After further digging, we learned that this "nationwide" company only has a handful of actual employees, and contracts out the videographers (which were amazing & this review is not a reflection of the people who came to film our wedding). Communication is awful. You cannot call the phone number listed, its "only monitored for outgoing calls." Email response is slow, if you have a question before your wedding they just direct you to the website. Also, you can't email them from your event date throughout the 16 weeks of work time or "you'll slow down the process." The films turned out good, I'm happy with them. However, the stress of investing so much money into videos of our special day was unneeded. I seriously suggest looking into vendors close to you.

    So Disappointing

    Four weeks past the original deadline, and we still don’t have our films. White Elms has failed to meet their own contract and they don’t care. Our day-of videographers were timely and professional, but everything else about this experience has been beyond disappointing. We decided to invest in wedding videography because a family member was diagnosed with cancer and would not be able to attend the wedding. This was a big decision for us but we knew it would mean so much to have this footage to share with those who could not be there. All communications with White Elms has been impersonal and minimal. During the wedding planning, I did not think too much of it. But once the 16 week deadline for the film came and went with no word, I was worried. White Elms only responds to every other email with short, vague responses. Other than apologizing for delays due to editors being out sick, they have made no efforts to make this up to us. Overall, I cannot stress enough how disappointing this service has been. And to make matters worse, it truly seems that White Elms does not care.

This 40+ Minute Documentary Film is our all-inclusive film option. It will feature your entire day in chronological order. Your full Ceremony, Dances and Toasts will be included along with footage from the rest of the day to create a full feature film to showcase the full wedding day and all the most special moments from morning prep all the way to your evening send-off. This is essentially our way of modernizing "your parent's wedding film" to offer a much longer content film!
Your Highlight film is the main film! This is considered what "wedding videography" is, and is the standard for the industry. Hopefully you've seen a few at this point! They are short and sweet, cinematic, fast paced, color graded, and set to music with audio overlaid! It's fully edited and polished, and is where we get to shine as artists! It showcases your whole day in a few minutes and features all the highlights of your day from prep, to vows, to your send off. This film is an easy way to share your celebration with friends and family. Watch our portfolio to see examples of these on our films page!
Our Ceremony Film will feature your full ceremony from beginning to end! Whereas your Highlight Film will feature some of the best clips of your ceremony, this film is intended to document the entire event so you can watch it back and relive the most special part of your day. If your Ceremony is 34 minutes long, then your Ceremony film will be 34 minutes long. Nothing is cut out, so you can enjoy every speaker, vow, tradition and laugh all over again!
Our Toast Film will include all of the toasts given at your reception! Whereas your Highlight Film will include short snippets of these toasts, this film gives you the chance to go back and rewatch all of your reception speeches from start to finish.
Our Dance Film features your full Bride/Groom First Dance, and Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Parents Dances. It will showcase these special dances in their entirety, so you can fully rewatch these moments to the original music in addition to the few clips of each that may be featured in your Highlight Film.
Per the name, your Highlight Film will include only the best of the best footage that we capture, which means we still have lots of other clips you wouldn't otherwise see. Raw footage will feature ALL of the clips that we captured throughout your day, simply unedited (no music, color grading etc...), so you can enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at your wedding day home-video style, and see more of those in-between moments.
This 45-60 second Edit is like a "Mini Highlight" to showcase your special day in an easy to share format for Social Media. It follows the same style as your Highlight film, but features only the best moments for a quicker look at your day. Think of it like the trailer or elevator pitch to your wedding Highlight Film.
Because we work as a team we're technically not "based" anywhere! We have several areas where our shooters are located, so we can serve more couples, in more locations, and don't charge travel fees! We have team members based in these cities and serve the surrounding areas: Seattle, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Indianapolis, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Trenton, New York, Providence, and Boston. Yes! We have two options for payment. The first is our payment plan that breaks down to a 50% retainer, with the other 50% remainder due one week before your wedding. However, if you choose to complete your payment upfront, we include raw footage for free as a gift with your package (No substitutions please) as a thank you for letting us focus on prepping for your wedding rather than sending payment reminders the week before your big day!
At this time, we book out every single weekend, and do not offer any form of discounts to keep everything fair and consistent for all our couples. Rather than raising our regular price to be able to offer discounts to certain couples, we offer no discounts, so that every couple can take advantage of our best rate. We offer very competitive pricing for the high quality of films that we offer, and know that we do our best job when our couples prioritize us as much as we do them. For these reasons we offer set pricing for all our collections.
