Leading up to the day, I was able to easily communicate my ideas and would always receive positive feedback in return! On the actual day, she is a ball of positivity, and so fun to work with. These recollections are your forever keepsakes, a chapter of your life's story. Every image accounts for those who were by your side, delighted for you, and the next step in your journey. Sean gave us an incredible experience with stunning results. He was punctual, professional, and gave very clear instructions for his shoots. He also was very excited to be a part of the process and involved in our special day. When it came time for the ceremony and reception, he was sure to stay out of the spotlight and took incredible pictures without us having to remember that he was there. 10/10 experience and 10/10 quality on the final photo results. We would highly recommend him for any event you may have coming up!

Kendra Smith Weddings was an absolute pleasure to work with on Cody & Jake's wedding day. Kendra's communication style was timely, kind, and calm, which helped put us and the couple at ease throughout the planning process. She did a great job at communicating with us about the plan for the wedding day but was also able to be creative with the photography, even during a very windy ceremony. As a fellow creative, I enjoyed collaborating with Kendra, but appreciated that she could just run with it when it came to the photography. She was so lovely to work with and have around for the full wedding day!

I’m Jessie & my husband is Dylan. We are a husband and wife duo serving Austin Texas and Beyond... We are high school sweethearts and have been together since we were 16 years old. We have three crazy kiddos and two golden doodle pups, named Kevin and Theodore. We are the crazy couple who is always dancing and having way too much fun wherever we go (just ask our friends; or better yet, you will probably become one!) We have to pinch ourselves on a daily basis, reminding us that this is real life and this is our job! We have the pleasure of capturing and telling people’s love story. Your story.

Awarded Best of Zola
I can’t say enough amazing things about Jessie! She was our photographer for our engagement photos, and I feel like I struck gold finding her on Instagram. After looking through A LOT of photographers, I knew I was being super picky—I have a love for photography and had a very specific vision in mind. Jessie absolutely brought that vision to life! The gallery she delivered looked like my Pinterest board… but even better! Her editing style, eye for detail, and ability to capture genuine moments blew us away. She made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire shoot as well. She is down to earth, fun, and gave the perfect amount of guidance while still keeping everything natural and relaxed - we needed the guidance ;) She also let us bring our dogs, which meant so much to us, and she captured the most adorable photos of them that I am so thankful for! Jessie took so many beautiful photos and she really captured us. We’re so grateful for her talent and energy, and we loved working with her so much that we’ve asked her (and her husband!) to shoot our wedding in Italy. Jessie, thank you for everything—we can’t wait for round two, but this time in ITALY!

Tyler Gets Weird

After getting out of the Marine Corps and photographing weddings for a larger "big box" company, I decided I wanted my own brand that really connects and cares about the couples I work with. And here we are 4 years later. I am a very "unprofessional professional". I love to have a good time and I embrace weirdness (will do your wedding for free if you're wearing all denim) but at the same time I also am very Type A; I love a good spreadsheet, I'm punctual, logistically minded, extremely detail oriented, and I will always advocate and/or problem solve for my couples on wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Tyler photographed our engagement photos in St. Augustine, and we are absolutely in love with them! I want to thank Tyler for being so patient and supportive. St. Augustine can be busy in the summertime and I was nervous about feeling calm enough to get the perfect shots. Tyler did an amazing job of explaining how he would achieve our vision and went above and beyond. We would recommend him to anyone looking to capture their happiest moments. His communication was kind, prompt, and full of great humor. Some of our favorites are attached!

Photography truly has a full grip on my soul– I love EVERYTHING about capturing special moments to be forever held in time! I consider my style to be way more candid, as I truly adore capturing an authentic experience that is almost tangible to the person viewing the photo. I want the viewer to feel the emotion and as if they were there with us right back in that moment. I love realness of a perfect candid shot…my goal—especially with couples—is to get to the heart of their connection and connect with my couples, as well, to truly make them feel comfortable in front of the lens so that we can get to those authentic magic shots!

Awarded Best of Zola
Shannon was absolutely perfect! She made our wedding day truly special. She was attentive, professional, clear and concise, and so well prepared for the day. She eased my stress and took a load off my shoulders when I was worrying about all of the small details. Not to mention she saved me with eye drops when I got an eyelash in my eye and looked like I had pink eye 30 minutes before having to walk down the aisle. Not to mention, she had a gallery of nearly 100 photos for us as sneak peeks sent in two weeks, when she had two other weddings on her books within a week of mine. It was truly a wonderful experience to work with her!!

We were stoked. He was amazing to work with on the wedding day - punctual, friendly, got all the requested shots, and the whole bridal party loved him. We got our pictures back today - and they’re so much better than we could have dreamed of. It’s no wonder he was featured in Vogue - his work is artistic, candid, and beautiful. Hello! My name is Hannah, the owner of Smallwood Photography! I definitely have the wedding bug and if I could physically do a wedding every single day I would gladly do it. There’s just something about the joy, excitement, and genuine love that I cannot get enough of! I absolutely love doing little detail shots of all the beautiful decorations that the couple put so much thought into. I want my couples to look back on the photos and be reminded of every detail, big and small, that made their special day perfect. My goal is to photograph a wedding in every state!

️️️️️ Hannah was truly a dream to work with from start to finish. She photographed both our engagement session and wedding day, and made the entire experience feel so natural, easy, and enjoyable. From the moment we met her, we felt comfortable and confident that we were in the best hands. On our wedding day, Hannah brought such a calm and positive presence. She was organized and professional while still feeling like a friend by our side. She captured every important moment so beautifully—from our ceremony to the sweetest little candid shots we didn’t even realize were happening. One thing we especially loved was how intentional she was in making sure our post-ceremony after party with our bridal party was documented. Those photos are some of our favorites! And when the dance floor lit up to Pink Pony Club, she was right there catching the energy, joy, and absolute chaos in the best way possible. Our gallery is full of light, emotion, and personality—it feels like us. We’re so in love with every photo and beyond grateful to have had Hannah be such a special part of our day. I'm a reportage-style wedding photographer, documenting all the in-between moments that make up the authentic story of your wedding day. I believe that the photos should be about your wedding, not the other way around. My couples crave a natural, photojournalistic take that tell the real story of their day, not just pretty, perfect photos. Because your wedding day is not a photo shoot.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the moment we first spoke with Rae, we knew we had found our perfect wedding photographer. Rae's personable, kind, and knowledgeable communication style immediately put us at ease, even though I was feeling indecisive and terrified throughout the whole planning process. Rae took the time to truly understand what my husband and I wanted, and helped us create a timeline that was as relaxed as we had hoped. On our wedding day, Rae's compassionate and fun presence made it easy for us to forget the camera was even there, allowing her to capture the most beautiful, richly colored, and candid moments. The final photos were amazingly edited, showcasing the inclusive way Rae documented our special day. We are thrilled with the results and are so grateful to have had Rae as part of our wedding journey.

Annie Austin Photography
Rating: 5.0 (9 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves Mexia, TX

Hey, I'm Annie. I'm a film + digital wedding photographer based in Texas. I do this for the generations to come. For the little girls, just as I once was, sitting on the carpet flipping through their grandma's and mothers wedding photos and dreaming of a love story such as theirs. I take a documentary meet's editorial approach. Leaving space for emotions to evolve when the moment calls and stepping in to gently guide when needed. No two weddings should ever look like they could belong to anyone but the couple themselves and I stand by that. This truly is my creative passion.

Awarded Best of Zola
TLDR: I could not have picked a better photographer and I truly believe that Annie would be perfect for absolutely anyone. Her energy is infectious in a way that really brings up your excitement levels but also keeps your anxiety down. My husband is very introverted and was really worried about photos, but she kept him comfortable and in his element in a way I truly don’t believe anyone else would have. As for myself, I felt beautiful and gorgeous the entire time because of her and her partner. For the work she did and the amount of effort she puts into our photos, I believe her prices are incredibly fair. If anything, she’s undercutting herself. I will absolutely be recommending Annie to anyone and everyone. Now for the longer part of the review! We got married on May 30th, 2024 and we were doing our wedding a little differently. Instead of doing private vows or doing our vows at the ceremony, we did our vows at our rehearsal dinner. That is also when we allowed friends and family to come up and say something. The reason we did this route is because my husband is introverted and not a public speaker while I am the complete opposite. He also really wanted to see my walk down the aisle as our first look instead of a private look. Me, on the other hand, wanted at least our family and close friends to witness our vows. So we compromised! On top of it being two separate days, I was very adamant that I wanted two photographers along with wanting to capture the little things, such as my grandparents holding hands or our friends doing silly things at a table. I don’t mind staged photos, but I really wanted more natural focused shots. It was surprisingly difficult to find someone who was able to both days and within our price range. When we stumbled upon Annie, it felt like fate. She was so easy to figure things out with. Instead of an engagement photo session, she was happy to do our rehearsal dinner instead. She was there for any questions I had and the forms she had us fill out were super detailed! It really helped getting our thoughts together and deciding what was most important for our wedding. The day before the wedding, she vibed so well with everyone at the rehearsal dinner. She even got perfect photos of our dogs, who are honestly like our children. The day of the wedding, Annie and her second photographer (who I’ve completely blanked on the name, my fault for taking so long to write a review!) were amazing. Every single one of our friends had compliments for them and just LOVED their energy. Annie kept me calm and collected while the second was fully invested in my husband. I don’t think the wedding would have gone as smoothly without those two. The photos I received back? Better than I could ever dream of. Truly. They got beautiful shots of my grandparents dancing, my dad talking to one of his nephews, his mom talking with his brother. Just candid shots that looked real and natural. I am unbelievably so happy with Annie and the work she put in for us. Photographs are one of the most important things for me at our wedding and she truly blew it out of the park.We thank her for all her work from the bottom of our hearts and will always cherish the memories she gave us.

Hey, thanks SO much for being here! I am honored you are checking out my page. I became a full time wedding photographer after realizing my connection to capturing love stories. I value connection, transparency, and having a fun time with my couples!

First off, Tia is one of the sweetest human beings I have ever worked with! My husband and I were lucky enough to be in Yosemite at the same time as Tia and her boyfriend (hello fate??) and we had the best engagement session! We were, then, lucky enough to have her photograph our wedding in May. We're so happy we chose Tia to photograph all our special moments as our photos turned out better than we ever could've imagined. Being able to relive all our moments and feel the emotions through the photographs is truly so special. On top of that, Tia is so pleasant to work with - she is attentive, present, and always prepared for anything photo related (and more!). Her communication is so fast - always keeping me updated with changes if there were any. Everything felt like a collaborative effort which I so appreciated, especially in the wedding industry. At the end of the day, throughout my wedding planning process, I felt so supported working with Tia and felt like I had a friend capturing all our special moments. Tia photographs everything so beautifully and authentically and her photos will be timeless memories in our home for years to come.

We can’t say enough good things about them! From the start, they felt like part of the crew, super chill, easy to work with, and just fun to be around. On the big day, they somehow managed to be everywhere without ever feeling like they were in the way. They caught all the laughs, happy tears, and little moments we didn’t even realize were happening. And when we saw the photos/video? Absolutely blown away. It’s like they bottled up the whole feeling of the day, and now we get to relive it forever.

I spent 10 years as a photojournalist covering news, sports, and political campaigns, and for the past 25 years I’ve photographed weddings with the same calm, observant approach. That experience taught me how to anticipate moments, work quickly in changing light, and capture genuine emotion without getting in the way. I focus on the natural moments as they unfold, keep portraits relaxed with gentle direction, and make family photos organized and efficient so they do not take you away from your wedding for long.

My wife and I used Roman Photography's services for our wedding in 2015 - we absolutely adore the the photos. Our fun and family were captured beautifully. We loved the work so much, we contacted Roman again ten years later to do our anniversary photos. Roman came out and did another magnificent job. He kept things playful and light (we're both uncomfortable in front of the camera) but still professional. I can't recommend Roman Photography enough!
