Hi, I’m Samantha — the photographer behind SSP. I’m based in College Station, TX, and a mom of two boys who remind me daily to notice the beauty in the ordinary. I specialize in weddings and portraits (family, couples, and grads) — the chapters filled with love, anticipation, and joy. My approach is true-to-color and intentional, focused on the real, in-between moments that tell your story best. While College Station is home (Aggie forever), I’m always ready to travel wherever your story unfolds.

    Most upbeat, fun, photographer ever!!

    Sam is absolutely fantastic. She is great to work with! Very outgoing and upbeat. She really takes care of her clients and delivers great photos pretty promptly compared to most photographers. Highly recommended!!

    Don't think about it- book her!

    Sam is incredible to work with. I’ve worked alongside her on multiple occasions and every single time she brings such a calm, joyful energy that instantly puts everyone at ease. She’s intentional with her words, thoughtful with her direction, and somehow manages to capture all the big moments and the little ones you didn’t even realize were happening. Her photos are full of color, emotion, and real connection. As a fellow photographer, I can say without a doubt that Sam's creative eye and genuine care for her couples is unmatched.     The sweetest photographer!!

    Sam was the sweetest photographer I’ve had the pleasure of working with! She was so accommodating to my schedule and was very quick to respond and collaborate with. She was very open to my ideas as well as being honest with what she thought would look best for what I was wanting! She is very knowledgeable and talented at what she does!!

    More than a photographer!!

    Sammi Sand Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. From the moment we first spoke with Samantha, we were impressed by her punctual, detailed communication style. The quality of her work is simply stunning - she has an incredible eye for curating thoughtful, beautiful shots that truly captured the spirit of our special day. Samantha went above and beyond, helping to set up tables beforehand when time was running short, and ensuring every detail was taken care of even when we were not present. It's clear that Samantha cares deeply about each of her clients, and her heart shines through in her incredible photography. We are thrilled with the memories she has provided us, and cannot recommend Sammi Sand Photography highly enough.

Depending on the size of your wedding, I do offer a second assistant for an additional service cost.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 8-10 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a Glass USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints as well!
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for no additional charge!
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
In my experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
