Hi! I'm Shelby Bower an award winning Cake and Sugar Artist. I am the winner of Wedding Cake Championship on the Food Network. I specialize in magazine worthy wedding cakes and unique cake stand rentals. I owned a boutique bakery in Houston where I made high end specialty cakes for many years, now I am offering custom rental cakes at a fraction of the cost. Your guest will never know that your cake was faux.

Our company is very unique. Our cakes are rentable, customizable, sliceable, faux cakes, available at a fraction of the cost of a conventional event cake. Our cakes, including additional sheet cake servings, average about 25% the cost of a real wedding cake. We offer the option of a section of the bottom tier to be "sliceable." We clearly mark the section so you can cut your cake for photos. We provide delivery, setup and pickup. We also offer cake stands for rent and sheet cakes for servings. Our cake stands are available for rent even if you do not chose us for your cake.

Impress your guest with a beautiful 4 tier wedding cake. In this package you will receive a 4 tier faux buttercream cake. Your option of smooth buttercream or a horizontal line buttercream design. You can also mix and match the two options. We will dress up your cake with 1 small floral accent and a ribbon color of you choice. Also included is 100 servings of sheet cake to serve your guests, a section of real cake on the back bottom tier for cake slicing photos and one cake stand rental.

    The cake of my dreams!

    Shelby made my cake dream come true. She heard my vision and captured it in a way I didn’t know was possible. She was professional and so kind! I told her I was worried about transportation and who would cut and serve the cake and keeping the cake cool (let’s face it, that’s quite a challenge for an outdoor wedding in Texas) but she made it work! Every aspect of it! And I couldn’t be more happy and recommend Shelby enough. Not only was the cake aesthetically beautiful, but it was also DELICIOUS!

We call our cakes "Rair Cakes." Rair Cakes are rentable, customizable, “sliceable” faux wedding or event cakes at a fraction of the cost of a conventional cake.
Rair Cakes are made from a special styrofoam and decorated with a variety of techniques by award winning Sugar and Cake Artist, Shelby Bower. You can not tell, even from close inspection that our cakes are not real. We decorate our cakes with materials that can be cleaned and sanitized before use.
All of our cakes have the potential to be “sliceable” like a real wedding cake. For an additional fee, we replace a section of the back bottom tier of your cake with real cake. Using ribbons or decorative pieces depending on your cake design, we clearly mark where you should cut your cake for photos.
Yes, we offer sheet cakes as an addition to your rental cake. Our sheet cakes are inexpensive, but for an upgrade you can have your sheet cake decorated to match your rental cake. They are easy to serve quickly and we use high quality fresh ingredients. We use the same recipes that Shelby used in her couture Houston cake studio that impressed her clients for years. No box mix here!
We offer a free design consultation over the phone, in order to keep our prices low we do not offer cake tastings. Our cake is made from scratch from high quality ingredients, but if you need to try it in person we attend bridal shows and venue open houses where we bring cake samples. Follow our social media accounts or sign up for our email list to find out when the next tasting opportunity is.
We provide all the decorations your cake needs. Cake and Sugar Artist, Shelby Bower hand-makes all of our cake florals from a special material that can be cleaned and sanitized from cake to cake. If needed we will use fresh or dried floral accents to accentuate your floral design. For liability reasons we do not allow a third party to provide the florals for our cakes.
Yes! You are free to use whatever cake topper you would like. Just let your design specialist know the dimensions of the topper in advance to make sure it works with your cake design. Please have it on the cake table ready to place on the cake. Because of liability reasons we need to be the ones who place the topper onto the cake.
We want you to have the best experience possible with our rental cakes. We provide delivery, setup and pickup to keep your wedding as hassle free as possible. To lower the risk of extra charges from damages we do not recommend our clients handle the cakes.
No, but our delivery prices are very reasonable.
We do not offer dietary accommodations. The way our cake rentals work, you can purchase a rental cake, and sheet cakes from while buying additional cake from your favorite vendor that offers specialty cakes. Or you can just rent the faux cake from us and get all your additional servings from another bakers. Its all up to you.
The beautiful thing about our cakes is they can be any size you want. If you want a majestic grand cake, but your only having a wedding of 125 we only charge you for 125 servings of sheet cake, but your faux cake could be 8+ tiers. Or you could have an adorable small 3 tier cake with 200+ servings of cake in the back. One issue you won't have with us is overpaying for tons of extra cake.
