“My wife and I hired Eric to dj our wedding at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs in August. When looking for djs we were immediately impressed by his confidence in being able to run sound for the event, perform an acoustic set during the happy hour, as well as DJ. He had thought of aspects we had not even considered and was super pleasant to work with the entire way. The sound for the ceremony was outstanding. The lapel mic for our officiant worked great and the wireless mic he provided for us to recite our vows had crystal clear sound. His set during the cocktail go hour was also phenomenal. Eric has a soulful voice and a great feel for the harmonica. It was really the perfect music for this portion of the event, and he went above and beyond running sound for my cousins to play a few songs as well. During dinner he had a great jazz playlist that was perfect. And once the dancefloor opened up Eric knew exactly what to play. We had provided a playlist of songs we like that he was able to pull songs from and then he chose a number of songs too that really got people dancing. Our guests were impressed by his artfully crafted smooth transitions between songs. Eric also had a great vibe as the DJ, with a cool demeanor and a bit of a Blues Brothers aesthetic. He was cordial and got along great with our guests, taking a number of requests. Overall, Eric was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ and comes highly recommended!”

“DJ Birdie was hands down one of the best vendors we hired for our wedding. Music was one of the most important parts of the day for us, so finding the right DJ mattered—and he exceeded every expectation. From our first conversation, he was responsive, easy to work with, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the planning process. We had a few unique requests for our ceremony music, including some tricky timing and transitions, and he absolutely nailed every single one. Everything happened exactly when it was supposed to, which made the ceremony feel effortless. When it came to the reception, we decided to trust him and told him to play whatever he thought would keep people on the dance floor. Looking back, that was one of the best decisions we made. He has an incredible feel for the room and somehow always knew exactly what song to play next. Looking around and seeing our friends from every stage of life, along with our parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents all out on the dance floor together was one of our favorite parts of the night. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and multiple guests have told us it was one of the most fun weddings they’ve ever been to. Beyond being an incredible DJ, he’s simply a great person. He’s kind, professional, calm, and someone you can completely trust. On your wedding day there are so many things to think about, but the music was never one of them because we knew DJ Birdie had it covered. We would hire DJ Birdie again in a heartbeat. “My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! He was very communicative, punctual, and so sweet. We had a couple hiccups (like every wedding), and he seamlessly filled the moment with music while we figured it out. His timing was PERFECT. I had people CONSTANTLY coming up to me during the reception and tell me how good the music was. Everyone, from grandparents to kids were tearing up the dance floor the WHOLE time. “Working with Hovey Entertainment was such a smooth experience from start to finish. Eric himself responded to every question we had quickly and knew exactly what we needed to make our day special. When you hire Eric, you actually get Eric. From the first call to the wedding day it’s always him you’re talking to and working with. No surprises! What really stood out was how his photobooth attendant went above and beyond. She overheard me crying to my best friend before our grand entrance that our coordinator had completely forgotten to set out the empty chair we'd set aside for my dad. He passed before the wedding and no attention was given to that beyond important detail. She left the booth, went and hunted it down, and then personally made sure it was positioned just right and set up with his name and reserved sign by the bar which meant the world to me. It wasn’t even her job but she sprung to action without even thinking and fixed it. When I apologized for crying to her about it she put her hand on my shoulder and told me she completely understood in a way that just made me feel like she actually got how important that was for me. She was amazing. The entertainment itself was stellar and felt exactly like what we'd envisioned for our wedding. We barely had to do any work. Eric did it all. All we told him was the vibe, some favorites, and songs for specific moments. He nailed it all. Eric's professionalism and attention to detail made everything run seamlessly, and honestly, we'd hire him again and again without hesitation. If you're looking for a DJ that truly cares about getting it right, Hovey Entertainment is the way to go. We did uplighting, photobooth, and full day DJ services. 100% worth what we paid. Quotes were higher for Eric than others, but not by much and I promise you’re paying for the professionalism, work ethic, and knowledge it’s going to be perfect with the actual person you hired. He’s worth the few extra hundred. Our venue even reached out to us after and told us how impressed they were with Eric. I hope he made it onto their preferred list. He deserves it! Extra Info: - You can design your own photo booth strip like we did! - No extra cost for his extra help! - LGBT Friendly! - Photobooth comes with the prints and a digital album - Won’t play music on your no play list - Can use your own photobooth backdrop like we did! - Knows when to stop a song and blend into the next - You can design your front of booth photo/slide show - Has multiple set ups so isn’t moving them from spot to spot all night - it’s already set up! - You can use his digital photo album for guests to upload photos instead of buying your own! “If I could give John and Trading Post Productions 10 stars, I would. I don't normally go on and on about how great people are, but this group absolutely deserves it. For our wedding, we booked DJ for the ceremony, live music for cocktail hour, and DJ for the reception. First, the live music trio (which we had a guitar, violin, and cello) absolutely nailed it! We chose several songs from their repertoire, but also requested a couple others that were personal to the bride and I, and they not only were accommodating, but they knocked it out of the park during their performance! Second, I could share all the little details about how John was prepared for every moment, but here's the big idea: he is experienced, he will do whatever it takes to get the job done, he is easy to work with, he knows how to read a room, and he is SO talented. So many guests (and even venue staff!) commented on how amazing our DJ was! And there were several times throughout the evening where every single guest was out on the dance floor! Even more than a DJ, John is kind and outgoing, and was so excited to help us celebrate our big day. One little detail I would like to share was during the bride and I's last dance before we departed. John put on the song we requested and then left the room, giving us total privacy in that moment. Though this seems like a little thing, it allowed the bride and I to focus entirely on each other without feeling like anybody was watching us. It is a moment that will no doubt stick with me for the rest of my life. I genuinely don't think a more well-rounded DJ exists. If you're on the fence about whether or not this group is worth it, allow me to be your sign that having John and Trading Post Productions at your wedding is the best choice you could make. “We cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with Complete Weddings & Events, particularly our DJ and Photo Booth crew! From the moment the reception began to the final song of the night, they helped make our wedding unforgettable. Our DJ was Nick, and he was an absolute rockstar! He was friendly, fun, and incredibly adaptive to the vibe of the room. Not only did he keep the energy high and the dance floor packed, but he also joined us and our guests out there on the floor throughout the night, which just added to the celebration! It honestly felt like he was part of our crowd—reading the room perfectly, playing all the right songs, and keeping the party flowing seamlessly. We had so many random requests of him and he truly met them all, we can’t say enough good things about him because a DJ is truly such an essential part of the wedding and it wouldn’t have been the same without him. Tristen, who helped run the Photo Booth, was equally incredible. He brought such fun energy and even danced with our guests, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. He kept the Photo Booth experience running smoothly and made sure every guest had a blast with it—his friendliness really stood out to us and so many of our friends and family. And then there was Megan—we are SO grateful for her. She was such a kind and warm presence throughout the night. After our photographers left, Megan stepped in and captured so many beautiful, candid moments that we might have otherwise missed. She went above and beyond, taking tons of extra photos and even offered to share them with us afterward, which meant the world. She was consistently helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely seemed excited for us, which made the experience even more special. Together, Nick, Tristen, and Megan were truly a dream team. Their energy, professionalism, and kindness were more than we could have hoped for. They helped make our wedding night not just fun, but absolutely magical. “My husband and I chose Liat to perform at our wedding and it was the perfect fit to make our reception memorable. My favorite part was Liat playing her guitar and singing as my husband and I shared an intimate first dance on the beach at sunset. Her voice was so beautiful and it made the moment perfect. She was easy to work with and extremely accommodating. She also was able to provide many different kinds of songs for everyone to enjoy. “The Radio Band were absolutely amazing at our wedding! We would 100% recommend booking them. Turi was such a pleasure to work with; she was always quick to respond and really took our music requests into consideration to create the playlist of our dreams. Every member of the band is so talented and put on the most amazing show. They provided the perfect instrumental set for our ceremony, played a beautiful dinner set, and then had everyone on the dance floor all night long. Our guests cannot stop raving about how wonderful they were and how much fun they had. My husband and I wanted a packed dance floor and we sure got it - we did not leave it once and had such a fun time dancing and singing along. Thank you Turi and The Radio Band for everything!”
