“I'm so happy I could cry. My wedding photos are so dreamy and magical. Rachel and her husband really emphasized finding the perfect lighting and every single picture is stunning. They're such wonderful people, and I felt very comfortable around them. Rachel is laser-focused and made sure we got every shot, while checking in to make sure we weren't feeling overwhelmed and giving necessary posing instructions. She even helped zip up my dress and pin in my veil. My favorite part was when we were on golf-carts to the next location and she shouted "STOP! The lighting is beautiful," and she was right - we got some of the best pics from that spot. We had 2 zoom calls with them beforehand and Rachel helped us with our timeline, which was so helpful. She's very responsive with emails and her estimation of 5 weeks to get photos after the wedding was exactly correct. We didn't lose our deposit with them when we pushed our original wedding due to the pandemic. Even our engagement photos turned out amazing. I cannot recommend them enough.”

In addition to keeping the dance floor PACKED for the whole night, Rachel acted as emcee and kept the night moving smoothly with announcements, reminders, and helpful information. She is extremely professional and helped us smooth out the details of the flow of the evening during our planning meeting a few weeks before. She thought of so many details we hadn't considered and came to us with a ton of great ideas! We especially loved an idea she gave us for getting photos with every table in a fun and quick way after dinner to keep the party moving! She worked hard to get a sense of our music taste and planned an excellent evening of dancing, and also great happy hour/dinner music that our guests loved. She got SO MANY compliments from guests and the venue coordinator, who said she'd never seen the dance floor so packed for so much of the evening. We used her as our day of coordinator and when we had our meeting with her 30 days out from our wedding I swear all the stress flew off our shoulders. She handled all the correspondance with our vendors and kept a running to do list for us so we knew what had to be done, which helped us stay on top of everything. She showed up to our final walk through and helped answer all the questions, she had detailed documents and folders on Google that we collaborated on, she was timely and communicative and overall wonderful. Any time I had a little panic moment, I would text Allyssa and she would respond immediately, helping relieve any anxiety I had. She helped organize everything at the rehearsal, and day of, she was fantastic. Our parents and bridal party were even blown away by her ability to keep everyone in line and stick to the schedule perfectly. She thought of every detail and made sure our day went as smoothly as possible. I didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING day of, she told me what to do, where to be, and what was happening. She went above and beyond and helped put flowers in my hair before the photos. By the time the evening was over, she had our cars packed and moved to the proper spots, all of our stuff organized for us, and my purse, phone and keys were in my hand. I was in awe!!! We didn’t have to worry about where any of our stuff was and there was literally NOTHING missing. She even mailed our marriage license back to the office after the wedding. She truly did. not. miss. Allyssa is kind, organized, punctual and truly incredible. Our wedding day went perfectly and I don’t think it would have been as great without Allyssa. “I cannot say enough good things about our DJ (Jon)! My now husband and I had some concerns regarding some of our family members and we discussed them with Jon prior to the event. Jon respected our wishes and was so professional about everything. He handled things extremely well. We had an issue with the pastor who married us. We had asked the pastor a week or two prior to the wedding if he would at least come by the reception hall to say the blessing at the wedding (He said yes at the time.), and he no-showed. Jon had announced that the pastor would come up and say the blessing, and of course there was radio silence because we quickly realized the pastor wasn’t there. Once we told Jon that he didn’t show up, Jon said a quick blessing and our meal began. We started the dances, and we could not keep people off of the dance floor. Jon kept pace with the crowd so well and everyone had such a blast! What my husband and I didn’t realize at the time was that my husband’s Uncle Joe had a surprise song picked out for us as well as green Irish polo shirts made for all of us (inside joke) and we essentially had a bit of a flash mob at our wedding. Kudos to Jon for going along with his idea! That was so funny and it made our wedding so special. Overall, it was a wonderful evening and I truly hope every couple is blessed with a DJ like Jon. I don’t think he could have done anything better honestly. You will not find a better DJ in the St. Louis / Metro East area! Thanks Jon!”

Rice + Co. Events was founded in March 2022 as Charley Rice Weddings with the vision of bringing intimacy and personality back into weddings. Charley was ordained by the American Marriage Ministries that same month and began performing ceremonies shortly after. In January of 2023, she began accepting coordination clients as well. Since then the business has grown almost entirely from word-of-mouth. Currently, Charley Rice Weddings offers three comprehensive officiating packages and two comprehensive coordination packages in addition to event rentals, honeymoon planning, and other add-ons.
