“Stop looking because you just found your DJ. Casey was AMAZING. We are almost a week after our wedding and I haven't gone a day without hearing how amazing our DJ was. He was very communicative, punctual, and so sweet. We had a couple hiccups (like every wedding), and he seamlessly filled the moment with music while we figured it out. His timing was PERFECT. I had people CONSTANTLY coming up to me during the reception and tell me how good the music was. Everyone, from grandparents to kids were tearing up the dance floor the WHOLE time. I'm talking people who never dance, were dancing. He had seamless transitions between songs, overlapped ones that made sick remixes, and knew exactly when to change the song to keep people on the floor. When we were running behind schedule, Casey would come up to us and ask what we wanted to do every time, which as a type A bride I loved and it made me feel like I didn't have to think about the timeline. He was very professional and easy to work with from the beginning and we knew after our first conversion he'd be able to get the party going. It really made a difference that he took the time to learn about the flow of the wedding and our musical preferences. On the wedding day, he made sure everything was ready before our guests arrived by coming early to set things up. He even had backup music ready in case the musicians had to cancel due to inclement weather. He even mic'd our officiant for the ceremony. “Kevin was recommended to us through our wedding planner. Once we booked him, we were provided with a document where we could suggest songs for each portion of the evening. “If I could give John and Trading Post Productions 10 stars, I would. I don't normally go on and on about how great people are, but this group absolutely deserves it. For our wedding, we booked DJ for the ceremony, live music for cocktail hour, and DJ for the reception. First, the live music trio (which we had a guitar, violin, and cello) absolutely nailed it! We chose several songs from their repertoire, but also requested a couple others that were personal to the bride and I, and they not only were accommodating, but they knocked it out of the park during their performance! Second, I could share all the little details about how John was prepared for every moment, but here's the big idea: he is experienced, he will do whatever it takes to get the job done, he is easy to work with, he knows how to read a room, and he is SO talented. So many guests (and even venue staff!) commented on how amazing our DJ was! And there were several times throughout the evening where every single guest was out on the dance floor! Even more than a DJ, John is kind and outgoing, and was so excited to help us celebrate our big day. One little detail I would like to share was during the bride and I's last dance before we departed. John put on the song we requested and then left the room, giving us total privacy in that moment. Though this seems like a little thing, it allowed the bride and I to focus entirely on each other without feeling like anybody was watching us. It is a moment that will no doubt stick with me for the rest of my life. I genuinely don't think a more well-rounded DJ exists. If you're on the fence about whether or not this group is worth it, allow me to be your sign that having John and Trading Post Productions at your wedding is the best choice you could make. On the wedding day, Tarrah made everything feel effortless. She handled all of the setup, kept everything on schedule, checked in with me throughout the day, and somehow still found time to answer the billion questions from my mom and grandma! One of my favorite moments was when she had appetizers waiting for us while we signed our marriage license. I also have dietary restrictions, and she even made sure I had my own special dinner. Those little touches meant so much and showed how much she genuinely cares about her couples. I truly cannot thank Tarrah and Gordon enough for making our wedding day so smooth, stress-free, and special. They helped bring my dream wedding to life, and I wouldn't change a thing. We also had a ceremony guitarist and a saxophonist with tracks for the cocktail hour, which added great touches to the day. The uplights they brought for the room were priced very well and created a beautiful atmosphere. The music planning worksheet they provided was incredibly helpful, and they offered valuable advice on the timeline and flow of the reception, which was a huge help. They were fun to work with, and on the night of the wedding, they absolutely crushed it. The music was fantastic, they kept the vibes high, and their crowd engagement was excellent. “If you're looking for a wedding DJ with great energy, the ability to keep everyone dancing, keep your event flowing and meet the mood of your guests, DJ Shane is the man for the job! The first time we talked to him on the phone we could tell he was going to match our vibe and deliver the wedding we were wanting. We had no idea what we were doing, but he kept us organized and suggested different things that helped us stay on track with different aspects of the wedding. Shane traveled all the way to Fairview for our wedding last weekend, which was not a short drive by any means. He was very fair with pricing, especially with how far he had to travel. Not only did he time our ceremony perfectly with smooth transitions between songs, but he also kept our guests informed of what was happening, without it feeling like he was telling them what to do. He was able to help keep our stress levels low by checking in with us at the right times, working with the maid of honor for certain things and even keeping an eye on the weather. Shane excused tables during dinner at even intervals to ensure there wasn't a long line or people waiting for too long. Speeches and dances were done at the best times throughout the night and he kept everyone engaged and having fun. His ability to read the room and flow through different genres at the right moment is incredible. Fitting in requests from seven year olds seems like it would be impossible, but Shane did it with ease and made the kids feel comfortable enough to keep requesting more. He even had his drone out recording and catching incredible views of the venue, ceremony and reception. It felt more like a friend was DJing for us, not someone we found online and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We recommend DJ Shane one hundred times over!”
