“The Ocean Avenue Stompers are AMAZING. They were the band for our wedding in Asbury Park in August 2024, and we truly believe we had the best wedding band ever. From the start, we felt so lucky to have them as part of our special day. We worked closely with Ian throughout the planning process, and he was always so accommodating. When we were still in the decision phase, Ian was happy to hop on calls to talk through our vision and explain what the Stompers could offer. After seeing them live, it was a no-brainer for us. The energy they bring every time they perform is contagious, and it guarantees an incredibly fun time. After signing our contract, we met two times before our wedding day. Ian also sent us a questionnaire to keep all our ideas and plans organized. Ian was great at communicating with us throughout the process – despite being very busy with shows almost every night – and made sure the band would deliver the kind of party we dreamed of for our wedding. For our ceremony, we had three members of the band play, and they were amazing. Originally, we had only planned to have a guitarist, but after discussing the songs with Ian, he suggested adding the pianist and a trumpet player as well, which was a perfect combination. Ian then did a fantastic job DJ’ing and MC’ing our cocktail hour and dinner. Ian also worked closely with the venue to ensure the music flowed well through all the different spaces, which made a big difference. For the reception, we sent Ian a playlist with our general music vibe and right away he said he knew exactly what we were hoping for. We wanted the music to reflect the spirit of Asbury Park and steer clear of the typical wedding pop songs. The Stompers exceeded all expectations (which were already pretty high!). We had so much fun dancing the entire night and never left the dance floor because every song was one we wanted to hear. They kept the energy so high, making sure everyone, from our friends to our parents’ friends and family members, was having the best time. You could see it in the way all our guests were captivated by the band and smiling from ear to ear while watching them play. To this day, we are still getting compliments on the music and I’ve had many people tell me that next time we go to see the Stompers they want to come. “After booking my venue, Montes Productions was the first vendor I booked. I did a lot of research and phone conferences with other DJs in NJ, all well known, for about weeks before deciding on Montes Productions. I was looking for someone who could go along with a “club” feel, but also incorporate a wide-range of music for my family. All the DJs I spoke to were pretty much the same, however, when I spoke to Juan…we just clicked. Montes Productions was recommended to me on the New Jersey Bridal Group on Facebook. Juan was probably the only vendor who I spoke with for 30 minutes about life and not just my wedding. He was super personable and was willing to work with my budget. I felt like I was speaking to a friend and not someone trying to sell. I booked with Montes Productions two years out, and Juan kept in contact with me for that entire time. He also worked with my husband and I a week before to go over all the small details for our wedding. Juan was very organized and knew his stuff for sure. I had a lot of little components to my wedding, and Juan helped me organize them! Which helped take a load off of my shoulders in the planning process. In addition, I’m very into Kpop and Juan took all my recommendations. I also booked a photobooth under Montes Productions and it was great. We chose the inflatable photo booth which was a big hit. Also, the guys who came with Juan were all wonderful. Montes Productions was fun, professional, and exceptional. The set-up on the wedding day was amazing, Juan even personalized signage to display on the screens that was definitely my aesthetic.. He also MC-ed the entire night and was a big hit with my friends and family. Juan is extremely well-spoken and has the best personality. I don’t know when I’ll ever have a big event like this again, but if I did, I would definitely hire Montes Productions again for a party!”

“Hoi Polloi - 10/10 having a band was super important to us. Hoi Polloi was everything we could have hoped for and more! They played all the music we asked for and were great to work with from the start. We booked them for our ceremony, our cocktail hour, and had 11 people with horns and a DJ. They were fantastic to work with and we loved working with them. Jim is super responsive which makes a difference. He made sure the band knew all the music we wanted to play and they even interacted with guests (which I loved).They are also VERY reasonably priced and should probably charge more! They were great. I think the biggest compliment is that people from all ages kept saying they loved them which was perfect to me. They opened with Runaround Sue which is one of the best wedding songs in the world. Thankfully, our wedding date was available to book! Frank and his team were amazing to work with. He helped us build our wedding soundtrack from start to finish, even giving us a personalized website where we could add all the must-play songs. We also had meetings to go over everything from name pronunciations, order of introductions, speeches, all the way to dances. They truly worked hard to make sure our day sounded absolutely perfect.
