We do it all: We want say we do it all - but let’s stick to what we’re really good at here: Custom Wedding Band DJ + Live Band Hybrid feat. DJ Gray on trombone + drums + the Stompers horns New Orleans-style Brass Band - perfect to surprise your guests with live music at the end of your ceremony, cocktail hour, during the reception, after party. This band can be acoustic - meaning it can go anywhere remote like the beach / woods, doesn't need electric, etc! Our members have played with most of the wedding bands on the Jersey Shore, so most importantly, we know what works! We're here to make sure we're playing what you want to hear versus being stuck to do the thing we do. We LOVE New Orleans music, and we think that upbeat, positive sound is a perfect way to do something different at your wedding. We're completely open to you dialing that from 1 - stick to less NOLA and more pop / weddings tunes to 5 - bring us to New Orleans and let's party! We like to think we can provide anything you can imagine and love to take your ideas / directions and run with it together.

    Book the Ocean Avenue Stompers for your wedding!!! Ian and all of the Ocean Avenue Stompers band members did such an amazing job performing at our wedding. We got married on Oct 3rd, 2025 at the Molly Pitcher Inn and had the DJ / Band hybrid. They handled all of our ceremony music, their brass band played for cocktail hour, and then we had the DJ set with 4 piece band for the reception. We wanted our wedding to feel energetic and fun and like one big celebration and party and Ian Gray and the Ocean Avenue Stompers did just that! They made sure to play specific songs we requested ahead of time, and really paid attention to detail with everything. They were absolutely phenomenal and we highly recommend them!

    Fantastic Experience! August 2025 Wedding

    We couldn’t have been happier with Ocean Avenue Stompers. From our very first call, they were kind, professional, and clearly experienced. They gave us a wide range of options and helped us tailor the music to exactly what we wanted for the day. For cocktail hour, we had a four-piece jazz group that sounded fantastic in an outdoor space. For the reception, we chose an eight-piece band with a mix of styles. They even shared examples of different wedding sets, which made it easy for us to shape the direction of the music. On the day itself, the band members were friendly, easy to work with, and kept everything stress-free. They handled DJing between sets seamlessly and gave us just the right amount of control over the playlist. Their taste in music and ability to read the room were spot on. The sound quality was excellent from start to finish, and our guests had an incredible time—we did too. Highly recommended! Thank you, Ocean Avenue Stompers!

    Amazing

    The Ocean Avenue Stompers were an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Ian and his team were incredibly active and proactive in their communication, ensuring we were always informed and on track. On the day of, Ian expertly kept us organized and on schedule, allowing the entire event to run seamlessly. And the music? The Stompers absolutely crushed it, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. Their energy and talent were truly amazing, and all of our guests raved about how much fun they had. We couldn't have asked for a better band to make our special day even more unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend the Ocean Avenue Stompers!

    BEST BAND EVER

    What a show! The Stompers absolutely blew the roof off the joint, keeping the dance floor not just packed but singing along and dancing their hearts out all night long. There is never a dull moment and never a rest between songs. The song selection, arrangements, and overall vibe are like the best concert you ever been to, but it’s your wedding. A special shout out to their arrangements of Pink Pony Club and I Don’t Want to Go Home, learned for our wedding, and an absolutely ripping Tenth Avenue Freeze Out that doubled as both our entrance song and a big club hit at the end of the night. All night, we kept hearing from our guests how incredible the band was, and we have to agree! We closed the night with DJ Ian playing dance music for the final hour, with some help from the stompers horn section toward the end. Really can’t think of a better set or show, loved every second. And now we can go catch them on Mondays at R Bar to keep the party going!

We refer to Philadelphia and NJ our home markets and are happy to travel anywhere! We determine cost of travel gas, tolls, parking, lodging into our quote depending where your wedding is!
We know so many vendors. Happy to connect! We can provide uplighting for the band or dancefloor lighting to transform the room into a fun club feel.
the answer is yes - we know SO many and love suggestions that fit into our sound. Some songs are harder than others where we might ask an arranging fee to insure the song is performed as well as possible which is always possible to add on leading up to the event.
We love working with you by providing a song list we have that includes hundreds of songs, from there we guage which you love, are into, and don't need to hear allowing you to fully customize the songs you're hearing at your event! When we do the DJ + live band hybrid we love when you give us suggestions for diffrent parts of the night. We'll play all your requests 100% no problem. We're there to play what you want to hear - you have us for the day.
We're a network. We have 50+ musicians we work with and we're taking the best musicians from the NYC + Philly music scenes and employing them when they're not off touring the world. It's a special thing that really can only exist in this area and maybe LA, Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans?
