She understands that most people have never planned a wedding before helped us not only plan photos, but reorganize our reception to flow better. My husband and I are very photo shy, enough so that we debated on whether or not to even hire a photographer for the wedding. Villa was so great at directing interesting, natural poses that didn't feel forced or awkward in the moment. We opt-ed not to do an engagement shoot, but if we had to do it all over again, we absolutely would with Villa. During day of, Villa was extremely detailed and organized. She arrived early to the venue to capture photos and understand the space overall. She was very good about taking photos in a way that didn't interrupt the flow of events while navigating a fairly large and irregularly shaped venue. We received a great blend of editorial and photo-journalistic images that really captured the day beautifully. She has a great eye for wide shots, close up details, and artistic framing. Our wedding day started on a sunny day at noon and ended in the evening. Villa shot great photos throughout all the lighting changes during the day including many flash photography and low light shots after the sun had set.
