Raised in Olympia, WA, Jennifer discovered her passion for music early in life. As the daughter of a performing arts executive director and costume designer, her interest in the arts was encouraged. She began studying piano at age 5 and by age 12, she was accompanying local choirs and soloists. She has performed for events in Western Washington's top venues, including Four Seasons Hotel, Bastyr Chapel, Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Salish Lodge, Seattle Aquarium, Washington State Governor's Mansion, and many others. In addition, Jennifer is the Founder and Executive Director of Iovanne Music Academy.

Opening the Lady Yum shop was always the plan, I just didn’t know how long it would take or how exactly I would get there. It required meticulous planning, tons of money, education, the perfect space, the perfect product, the perfect people, and the perfect process…and most importantly, I had to acknowledge and deal with my own personal fears and shortcomings.
