It is always an honor to be selected to DJ and MC a wedding. I strongly believe it is one of the most impactful pieces of a wedding and therefore holds a great responsibility. I am your sound, wedding flow, ambiance setting and music entertainment. I love working weddings, I get to bring joy to many and I know how much you worked to organize this one day.
Customer Service: This is a people’s business and furthermore the stakes couldn’t be higher. Wedding logistics: A wedding has a strict timeline and this is a moving people gracefully business. Sound systems: Good sound with speakers and wireless mic is important for the ceremony, dinner music and most importantly the dance party. I believe in investing in the best equipment that always delivers in all circumstances. Master of Ceremony: The mic is a powerful thing, people hear it, so it better be meaningful. Song selection: No play list, must read the crowd

Saved our Wedding Day!!
When our original DJ cancelled the morning of our wedding, we were panicked. Groove on Hyde Street stepped up in a huge way and sent Dwayne to cover, who drove all the way from Renton to Bellingham after getting the call at 9:30am! He took our itinerary and absolutely crushed it, keeping our guests dancing and having the time of their lives all night! Their communication through email and text leading up to the wedding was flawless, which made the whole planning process stress-free. We are eternally grateful to this team for saving our day and making our wedding everything we dreamed it would be. Highly recommend them to any couple looking for a DJ who truly goes the extra mile.

Highly Recommend for Wedding DJ/Photo Booth!
We had an amazing experience with Groove on Hyde Street! We had DJ Shawn as our wedding DJ and he did a wonderful job - no complaints at all. All songs for our ceremony & dances went smoothly and he cut the songs that needed cutting exactly as we asked. They used an app that made the process SO smooth and also helped us to understand just how many songs you need to consider for all parts of a wedding, which was helpful as we had no clue lol. We had a call the week before our wedding as a sort of vibe check, and he definitely matched the vibe on the big day. We had a blast on the dance floor and that’s all we could ask for! We also used their photo booth & uplight services which was a huge hit - highly recommend that as an add on. Darius manned/assisted with the photo booth to ensure it was running smoothly throughout the night and that people were having fun with the props. Everyone loved the photo booth and the uplights made a bigger difference in the venue than I could have imagined. We also got all the photo booth pics sent to us digitally afterwards (in addition to the prints that everyone got), which was awesome. Definitely recommend booking Groove on Hyde Street if you’re looking for a wedding or event DJ!

I couldn't have been happier!
After speaking with many overpriced DJ's at a wedding show, I was pleasantly surprised when I found Groove on Hyde Street in a very quick search on the Wedding Wire. The pricing made sense, and they had so many extra options to elevate an event, including lawn games and a photo booth. It was a dark December evening so we could only opt in for the photo booth but it was THE BEST edition to our wedding. We received all copies of the photos taken and they make me so happy! The young man working the photo booth was super nice and tried his best to get copies of photos to everyone amidst the chaos and always gave me the nicest smile. The DJ, Darius, had us use an app for the music which included a timeline for the DJ so he knew when to start the ceremony music, cocktail hour music, and music for special moments like speeches and cake cutting. It made things so easy. He was also able to fill in the gaps for the dance portion as we couldn't think of more than maybe 15 songs that we wanted, but the app allowed us to communicate the type of music we liked and even specific songs we didn't want. He worked seamlessly with our event coordinator the day of. Everything went perfectly for the entire evening!
