It is always an honor to be selected to DJ and MC a wedding. I strongly believe it is one of the most impactful pieces of a wedding and therefore holds a great responsibility. I am your sound, wedding flow, ambiance setting and music entertainment. I love working weddings, I get to bring joy to many and I know how much you worked to organize this one day.
Customer Service: This is a people’s business and furthermore the stakes couldn’t be higher. Wedding logistics: A wedding has a strict timeline and this is a moving people gracefully business. Sound systems: Good sound with speakers and wireless mic is important for the ceremony, dinner music and most importantly the dance party. I believe in investing in the best equipment that always delivers in all circumstances. Master of Ceremony: The mic is a powerful thing, people hear it, so it better be meaningful. Song selection: No play list, must read the crowd

Dance floor fun!
Groove on Hyde Street made our wedding reception feel like a party with their energy and skill behind the decks. From our first conversation, they were easy to talk to and made us feel confident about every detail leading up to the big day. What really impressed us was how they read the room—they knew exactly when to switch up the music to keep the dance floor packed, and their photo booth setup was a blast for our guests. The team was professional without being stiff, and they clearly cared about making sure everyone had a great time. Our friends still talk about how fun the night was, and we couldn't have asked for better entertainment. We'd absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for a band and DJ that actually knows how to throw a party.

We hired Shawn from Groove on Hyde Street for both our ceremony and reception, and he absolutely nailed it. From our first conversation, Shawn made the whole planning process feel relaxed and fun, he was easy to talk to and genuinely excited about our day. When we needed to make some last-minute changes, he rolled with everything and kept a positive attitude throughout. His professionalism showed in every set he played, and we trusted him completely to keep our guests dancing and entertained all night long. Our friends and family are still talking about how great the music was. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ, and we'd recommend Shawn in a heartbeat.

Saved our Wedding Day!!
When our original DJ cancelled the morning of our wedding, we were panicked. Groove on Hyde Street stepped up in a huge way and sent Dwayne to cover, who drove all the way from Renton to Bellingham after getting the call at 9:30am! He took our itinerary and absolutely crushed it, keeping our guests dancing and having the time of their lives all night! Their communication through email and text leading up to the wedding was flawless, which made the whole planning process stress-free. We are eternally grateful to this team for saving our day and making our wedding everything we dreamed it would be. Highly recommend them to any couple looking for a DJ who truly goes the extra mile.
