Christopher Duggan Photography
Rating: 5.0 (50 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,950
  • Serves Kingston, NY

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
Christopher Duggan Photography was exceptional in capturing our wedding day. His communication style was clear, easy, and warm throughout the entire process. The quality of the work and value was truly exceptional - Christopher and his team are incredibly talented photographers who have a knack for capturing real, artsy details and candid moments that showcase the uniqueness and beauty of our special day. As someone who is often less than thrilled to be in photos, I adore every single shot they took. Christopher and Danica were so embedded in our every moment, yet you had no idea they were there - that is true talent! We all felt completely at ease, and they helped us knock out family photos smoothly without any stress from upset flower girls or ring bearers. I wanted a not overly posed style but almost "lifestyle" and Christopher fit the bill perfectly. We are over the moon with the results and highly recommend Christopher Duggan Photography to any couple looking for an amazing wedding photography experience.

George was very kind and communicative from the start. He was very flexible in our desire to move to a second location during cocktail hour and made the most of our short time there. He focused on capturing all of the photos we asked for along with really amazing candid shots of guests. He delivered a large amount of photos in short time frame. We can't recommend him enough.

From the minute we started talking on the phone, Spencer and I felt taken care of and confident in Rich's ability to capture our lifelong memories. Doing the engagement shoot with him first was so excellent to establish rapport and get us comfortable in front of the camera before our big day. Once it was finally here, it was easy! And the pictures! Rich is a true professional and we are so glad we made the right decision choosing his skills, insight, and professionalism for our wedding!

Since 2014, I have been working as a professional photographer, from dance competitions, to headshots, press events, engagements, weddings, corporate, and picture day in NYC public schools. But no matter where my career has taken me, my favorite moments have always been about capturing love, connection, and togetherness. As your wedding photographer, I promise a relaxed, fun, and creative atmosphere, making sure you feel confident and at ease in front of the camera. My goal is to deliver stunning visuals that will exceed your expectations.

From the moment we first reached out to Lisa, we were impressed by her clear, detailed, and warm communication style. Lisa was an absolute pleasure to work with, and her gorgeous, high-quality work was evident in the stunning photos she captured of our engagement session at the American Museum of Natural History. The artistry she brings to the sessions and ideas she presents are so unique and beautiful - I didn't even realize that we could be captured this way! The aesthetic she achieved went beyond my expectations, and we couldn't be happier with the memories she helped us preserve from our special day. Could not recommend anyone more than Lisa for ALL of your photography needs.

If there is anything I'd love for you to know the most about me, it's this: I will show up for you with compassion, courage and patience (and a little unconventional when inspired). My superhero strength is to see things that you don't; capturing significant moments or your 'perfect side.' I will transform your misconceptions about how you look on camera. It's empowering. I want to do that for you. I received my BFA in fine-arts from Pratt Institute and shot my first wedding in 1992. Photomuse was founded in 2002 and has gone on to become an award-winning photography studio.

We’re Hudson Valley and Catskills wedding photographers who specialize in intimate celebrations filled with connection and emotion. Our focus is on real moments, beautiful light, and photos that feel like you. Whether you’re planning a cozy backyard wedding or an adventurous elopement in the mountains, we’ll capture it with care and creativity.

We couldn’t have been happier with the quality of Megan and Kenneth’s work. From the engagement shoot through the wedding, they made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. They’re great at taking direction if you have requests but are also assertive and creative in setting up poses and backdrops. Having two photographers resulted in TONS of shots and adequate getting ready time with both bride and groom. They’re also the nicest people and delivered the photos promptly. Our friends and family were floored by how beautiful our photos are. Definitely recommend!

I'm Matthew, a wedding photographer based in Garrison, NY. With a decade as a wedding photographer and 15 years as an educator, I bring two things to every wedding: the ability to document moments as they happen, and the calm to handle whatever the day brings. I prepare carefully, communicate beforehand, and stay present when it's busy. My style is mostly documentary. I blend into the wedding, observing and documenting moments as they happen rather than staging them. Feedback I hear most often is that couples weren't aware of me, but that I got everything. I work with all couples and celebrate every kind of love, and every kind of marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
Matt was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. From our very first interaction, their communication was clear, knowledgeable, professional, and fun, making the entire process seamless and enjoyable. The quality of his work was nothing short of beautiful - they truly captured the magic of our special day. Matt and his team were incredibly responsive, listened intently to our requests, and stayed flexible even when the weather tried to throw a curveball, braving the elements to ensure they captured every moment. We are overjoyed with the stunning photos that will allow us to relive our wedding day for years to come. We cannot recommend Matthew Rigby Photography highly enough!

From the moment we met Eddie we knew we were in the best hands. As a bride, you dream of your wedding day being captured in a way that reflects all the emotion, beauty, and magic—and he absolutely exceeded every expectation. Eddie has an unbelievable eye for detail and such a calm, comforting presence that made us feel completely at ease from start to finish. Not only did he capture the big moments but also caught so many of the in-between memories: the tearful glances, the laughter with friends, and those little moments that made the day so special. Our photos are stunning—like something out of a dream. Every time we look through them, we’re transported right back to that day. We’ll cherish these images for the rest of our lives. You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Hiring Jess was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, period! From the first time we met, Jess showed genuine care, attention, and excitement about who we are and our special day. Our work kicked off together during an engagement shoot at Coney Island. She went above and beyond-driving 5 hours from the Hudson Valley to meet us at our dream location. We spent the night together, and she never made us feel like we were on the clock. Jess is truly so generous with her time. Our wedding day was of course, even more special. Taking photos with my husband, Jess, and her brilliant second shooter were some of the best moments of our day. Jess went above and beyond her role of photographer - making sure our special people looked tidy, keeping us all on schedule, and ensuring we were well fed and hydrated throughout the day. What really stood out is the care she showed for my loved ones: a family member with autism, and my 97-year-old grandma; having adjusted the schedule to accommodate them. We received a highlights gallery within days of our wedding, and the full album within 2 months (gratefully before Thanksgiving so we could reminisce over the holiday with our loved ones). Before our wedding, I walked through my Pinterest board with Jess. I see so much of what we discussed shine through in our photos. I am so impressed with Jess' attention to detail and diversity in portfolio - from documentary style to editorial shots. Finally, Jess has great knowledge of our venue, Bear Mountain Inn and the accompanying state park. She took us to incredible hidden pockets in the woods, and navigated to the more heavily trafficked viewpoints with expertise. We are so grateful to Jess for capturing our day with so much warmth and love. Hiring Jess is the best decision you'll make in wedding planning! 3

My approach is rooted in a documentary style that focuses on capturing genuine, unscripted moments as they naturally unfold. Whether it's the quiet emotion of an intimate vow exchange or the energy of a packed dance floor, I’m there to observe and preserve it all with honesty and intention. From small elopements to full-scale celebrations, I pay close attention to both the subtle details and the powerful, unforgettable scenes—because every wedding has its own unique story, and my goal is to tell it truthfully through my lens

I wish I could give 10 stars...There are not enough words to express how grateful we are for Aleksandra. From the moment we met her at our engagement shoot we knew we were in great hands. Once we received our engagement photos, I knew our wedding photos were going to come out fabulous, and I walked into our wedding day feeling confident in that. She EXCEEDED our expectations and truly blew our minds. On our wedding day, her calm, warm, and reassuring presence and energy helped us feel completely at ease. Seeing how excited she was about our photos while she was taking them made us feel excited and confident. When we received our photos, we were absolutely speechless. Aleksandra captured our day so beautifully and authentically. She has an incredible talent, and I have no other way to say it other than she is a talented goddess. I had sent her some inspiration photos I wanted to recreate and of course day of blacked out and didn't remember or think of any of them - but Aleksandra remembered all of them and fully executed the vision. On top of that, Aleksandra has such an amazing eye and staged us for stunning pictures that were both elegant, classic and Vogue magazine worthy. Looking through our wedding gallery felt like I was looking through a Pinterest board that I would have pinned/saved myself. Looking through our photos brought tears to our eyes and allowed us to relive the joy, love, and excitement all over again. Beyond her amazing talent, Aleksandra is kind, professional, organized (a Type A queen), and genuinely cares about her couples. We will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives and are truly so blessed that she was the one to document such an important day for us. I cannot recommend her enough!

Hi, I'm Stef. I photograph intimate weddings, NYC City Hall ceremonies, and micro celebrations where presence matters more than production. My approach is documentary at its core. I'm not directing every moment, I'm moving through your day quietly, watching for the ones that actually matter. I shoot both digital and 35mm film, not as an aesthetic choice but because film asks everyone to slow down a little. That slowness is kind of the whole point. Based in New York City and the Hudson Valley, available for travel.

Awarded Best of Zola
I had the pleasure of working with Stef when I created a bouquet for one of her elopement shoots. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. She was incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the process - always responsive and clear about her vision and needs. The final photos were absolutely beautiful and she captured the romance and intimacy of the shoot perfectly. As a vendor, I really appreciated how collaborative and pleasant she was to work with. I would definitely recommend her to any couple looking for an elopement photographer who combines artistic talent with a genuinely caring, professional approach.

What's up? I'm Mike, and I love making kick-ass photos. I'm not a wedding photographer because I "absolutely love making people happy and capturing their beautiful story." I do this because I LOVE the feeling of making awesome photos, and I love serving awesome people.

Mike is truly an exceptional wedding photographer. From the very start of the process, he took the time to connect with us and understand our vision for the day. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine passion for his craft made him a joy to work with. On the day itself, Mike felt like part of the celebration—capturing every emotion, detail, and special moment with effortless artistry. A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

We cannot recommend Sweet Alice Photography enough!!!! If you are getting married in the Hudson Valley area, you won’t find a more professional, personable or talented photographer than Erica! When we decided to spend our lives together, we knew we wanted a wedding that was an authentic presentation of who we were; a celebration of two families coming together that was filled with color and nature. We called upon family and close friends to help us with their talents for many elements of our wedding, but knew we needed a professional behind the lens to capture our big day. Erica at Sweet Alice Photography seemed like the perfect fit for us. Her honest and candid photos tell a story that feels real without excessive filtering. We felt so comfortable working with Erica. She was cheerful, communicative and accommodating through every step of the process. Regular email updates and words of encouragement arrived in our inboxes unprompted, and even when we had to make a last minute venue change she was so incredibly supportive. She really felt like part of the family! We loved the preview shots she sent us within days of the ceremony and couldn’t wait to share them with all our guests. We were surprised to receive all our images so quickly and in an adorable gift box with the coolest flash drive!!!

Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Kathryn has been a friend of mine for 20 years, so I've been following her growing business and incredible adventures around the globe for a long time. When I got engaged, I knew exactly who I wanted to do our engagement and wedding photos! Not only is she fantastic to work with, she loves opportunities for creativity and "outside the box" moments. I loved the idea of playing with light at night, so she found a color-changing light device to create incredible backgrounds for our night photos! I also loved that we hardly knew she and her second were there during the ceremony. She's sneaky and still gets the most beautiful photos! I cannot recommend my beautiful friend enough, especially if you're looking for someone LGBTQ friendly! Unfortunately, Google is not letting me upload photos, but please check out her website to see samples of her amazing work!

If I have a camera in my hands, then I am most definitely smiling. Photography has been my passion since I was a teenager and I love bringing that passion to weddings. I strive to capture all the intimate details that make a wedding truly personal. Don't be surprised if you see me crying during the parent dances, it's one of my favorite moments :)

Sarah is firstly a gifted artist and photographer. As you can see she understands space and color in a way that my wife and I clearly do not but more importantly she understands what makes a moment feel special. We asked Sarah to deliver a documentary style wedding experience and she did not fail. When my wife and I chose Sarah, she immediately got to work helping us to plan our wedding day in a way that you might not necessarily expect from a wedding photographer. Sarah was so personal and friendly on the day of our wedding, it felt more like we had a friend taking our pictures as a favor. However, the finished products speak for themselves: our friends and family celebrating, iconic moments of the day, and our love clearly shown throughout. Sarah delivered organization, artistry, and value in a comprehensive package that can’t be beat.

Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras, flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Nina was an absolute dream. At our engagement shoot, I told her right away that I’m incredibly awkward in front of the camera and needed direction — and like the pro she is, she immediately made us feel comfortable, confident, and totally ourselves. On the wedding day, when things ran a little behind during the getting-ready chaos, Nina handled everything with such calm professionalism. She seamlessly adjusted the timeline, eased the nerves in the room, and somehow kept the entire day flowing effortlessly. Every photo tells a story — not just of how things looked, but how they felt. She captured the laughter, the happy tears, and all the tiny in-between moments we didn’t even realize were happening. Her eye for detail and ability to find magic in the ordinary is unmatched. She went above and beyond — fixing little details, offering gentle direction, and somehow being everywhere at once without ever feeling intrusive. When we saw our gallery, we were completely floored. The images are timeless, emotional, and truly us. If you’re lucky enough to have Nina capture your day, you’re not just getting stunning photos — you’re getting her art, her heart, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first connected, their communication style was friendly, responsive, and clear. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure we felt at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is truly exceptional - their photos have a nostalgic, natural, and emotional quality that perfectly captured the spirit of our special day. Cappy's skill and creativity shone through, even in the challenging backgrounds of our intimate venue in Greenport. They beautifully documented every moment, from the getting ready shots to the ceremony and reception. The final images are timeless, memorable, and absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Cappy Hotchkiss Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.

On the day itself, she kept everything on even ahead of schedule and worked expertly around the rain! She kept me calm, protected my space, and allowed us to be fully present with our people. There was no painful posing or forced smiles, only genuine joy and captured experience. Sam is worth her weight in GOLD. One month later, people are still telling me how much they loved her. If you can get Sam, book her and don't look back. I truly could not have imagined our wedding day without her!

My clients describe me as caring, passionate about my work, and trustworthy. I am honored to feel like an extended member of the family when I'm photographing weddings! When I’m not working with amazing people, you'll find me hiking in the Hudson Valley, brunching with my girlfriends, or planning my next vacation (mostly likely on a beach somewhere). I'm obsessed with warm weather, family gatherings, and sunsets. When it's chilly out, you'll find me with a hot cocoa in hand. If there's music on, it's likely country or throwback 80s jams. ALL people and love stories are welcome here!

We love Debbie! Debbie has been such a pleasure to work with through our wedding process. Since our first meeting with her, Debbie made us feel super comfortable and at home, feeling more like a family friend more than just our photographer. She has a great knack for getting the best shots and captures authentic feeling in her photos. She was so good at helping us relax in our photos (which was great for me as a notorious camera-shy guy). Debbie will be our first call for any professional photography in the future and we 110% recommend her!

This is such a special time and I’m so excited for you! 🤗💍 If you’re still looking for a wedding photographer, I’d love to connect! I’m Erin Braden, and I specialize in capturing real, emotional, joy-filled wedding days across the Hudson Valley and beyond. I work closely with every couple to learn your story, your style, and your vision—then turn that into a wedding gallery that feels personal, powerful, and authentically you. Whether your vibe is romantic, wild, classy, or totally laid-back, I’ll make sure your photos reflect it all.

Erin's photos are like no other. She did an amazing job with our engagement photos and a fabulous job with our wedding photos! Her photos speak for themselves but she also went above and beyond for us. After the ceremony, we greeted each guest as they entered the venue. While I was hugging everyone, she took off my removable sleeves and bustled my dress, while also managing to get beautiful pictures of us hugging friends and family. She heard me say before the ceremony that I would be taking the sleeves off and bustling the dress right away and she took action. Throughout the entire wedding day she was moving, climbing on top of things and laying out the ground to get the perfect shots. And she sure did!! She also posted our sneak peak photos the very next morning. We received 7 beautifully edited pictures before we even left the hotel the next day. Later that day she sent us a link to about 5,000 pictures she took at our wedding. They are not yet edited, so we can't post all of them yet. From talking to friends and reading things in Facebook groups, I know it is not normal to be able to see all of the photos so fast. It was such a gift to look through the photos so soon, instead of waiting for months. She works hard, she works quickly, and she produces photos beyond what we imagined we would get from our wedding day.

I specialize in genuine, candid moments with a timeless editing style. Bonus points if you love Harry Potter, rock/metal music, or Zelda!

We had the pleasure of working with Anita for both our engagement session and our wedding day, and we could not be more impressed with her professionalism, talent, and attention to detail. From start to finish, Anita demonstrated an exceptional level of expertise and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Her ability to capture both candid moments and formal portraits with equal skill is truly remarkable. The final images are absolutely stunning. Allan (and his wife Vicki) served as the photo team for our engagement session as well as our wedding day. My wife and I could not be happier with the quality of work that Allen and Vicki were able to deliver for us. We felt that their prices were more than fair and that the quality of the photos delivered was excellent. Vicki and Allen were a joy to work with during every step of the process. They were not pushy, listened to our vision, and were personable and friendly the entire time. They were extremely organized regarding pre-planning of what photos to take but also were responsive to the environment and any day of ideas. We would work with them again without hesitation.

After being around weddings for years, I've found my place in specializing in intimate weddings, where I aim to encapsulate the distinct essence of every couple's love story through my lens. From the quiet glances to the joyous tears, having had the privilege to witness and immortalize numerous heartfelt moments, I'm dedicated to ensuring that your wedding day is documented in a way that resonates profoundly with your unique journey together.

Dayna is so great! She has such an incredible eye for photos and has a really beautiful way of catching moments. She also has a personality/demeanor that is so easy to get along with, and I really vibed with her. We got our wedding photos back in 5 weeks, and they are all absolutely GORGEOUS. She listened to what we wanted and what we were nervous for (and repeated it back to us to make sure she understood). I am so happy we booked Dayna and I wholeheartedly recommend her to other couples planning their wedding!
