Even before stepping foot inside 87 Sussex it already checked a lot of boxes for us. It's a stylish restaurant with a quality menu, walking distance from our church, and not a wedding factory like so many of the larger venues in the area are. From the moment we starting figuring out logistics with Emily we knew we lucked out. Emily was responsive, communicative, and helpful in accommodating our requests and finding solutions to any issues that arose in the planning process. The day of the wedding was everything we hoped for and more. The weather was perfect, so our guests took full advantage of the space- indoor and out. After dinner the downstairs tables were moved to accommodate a dance floor. It was a fun, intimate party with family and friends. From the cocktail hour through the dinner, the food and drinks were elevated, delicious and bountiful. Three months later our guests are still raving about the food. It's not often that wedding guests compliment the staff as much as the dinner itself, but that was also the case at 87 Sussex. The bartenders, hosts, management, and waitstaff were in a festive mood and incredibly attentive to all of our guests. It all made for a special, once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

Bottino was an absolute gem. The restaurant is gorgeous, the food is fantastic, and the people are wonderful. They don't up-charge for weddings, and were competitively priced. Our out-of-town relatives had no trouble finding it. They were extremely friendly to us, a gay interracial couple. Their communication was extremely fast and helpful, they assigned a person to work with us leading up to the wedding, and they also provided a fantastic day-of coordinator at no extra charge. Every single guest was delighted with the food, ambiance, and decor.

I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Houston Hall. Carlita and Isabel made sure our entire wedding day went flawlessly. From the start, Carlita worked closely with us during the tasting to ensure all our guests’ dietary needs were accommodated. With several family members living with celiac disease, including my dad, this was incredibly important to us, and she handled it with so much care and attention. The food and drinks were outstanding. We chose a few specialty cocktails that were a huge hit, and our guests ravedabout the food. At most weddings, the food is forgettable, but Houston Hall completely exceeded our expectations, everything was truly delicious. Beyond that, Carlita and Isabel made the planning process so seamless and stress-free. They ensured we had everything we needed, coordinated with all of our vendors, kept the schedule perfectly on track, and made my wedding day feel effortless. I knew everything was being expertly handled and that we were in the best hands. The venue is such a unique and amazing place, and everyone felt so welcomed. Additionally, they provided a list of vendors they work with regularly, which was phenomenal. They went above and beyond in every way and delivered the most perfect day. I am endlessly grateful and couldn’t recommend Houston Hall more highly.

Our guests and we had a wonderful experience at Le District at our wedding in May 2022. Since our family abroad couldn't make it to the wedding, we were only looking for a space to host a dinner for our 50 or so friends and we thought about Liberty Bistro in Le District since we used to live in the BPC area and had brunch there and we thought the interior design was beautiful and the size of the place fit our needs perfectly. The location is just perfect by the waterfront with an amazing river view and there is also an oval lawn right outside in which we thought about doing the ceremony but unfortunately, we eventually had to do it at Belvedere Plaza 200 feet away since it just so happened that the lawn was closed for maintenance that day. The Liberty Bistro restaurant was able to book out the entire indoor dining space for us without venue fees provided that we meet a spending minimum on food and wine. We had a great experience nailing down the food and drink menu with them - the restaurant had great options and communications were effortless. We were able to bring our own flowers and balloons and our friends DIY'ed the decorations though there wasn't too much to decorate since the space already looked nice and sweet. We also had our own seating plan which involved moving the tables and chairs and Le District was able to help us with it too, apart from the booths which cannot be physically moved. The night went smoothly; we were able to hook up an iPad to the sound system and play our own hand-picked wedding playlist; The guests enjoyed a 3-course prix-fixe menu (with additional vegetarian options); we also did our first dance under the beautiful tree in the center of the restaurant. At the end of the night, when we net out a few hundred under the min. spend, the restaurant was able to throw in a couple of champagne bottles for us to take home. We wish we could share photos of that wonderful evening to show how great it was and we really appreciate Le District for the great food and drinks, service, and communications, and just for being the place where it all happened.

From the very start, working with Justine at Blackbarn made our wedding planning such a smooth and easy process. Blackbarn is a classic NY venue with a clean, modern and inviting atmosphere. We loved the beautiful views of Madison Square Park that can be seen from the tavern (bar area) in addition to the modern barn decor of the space. As we made our way to the dining room during our first visit, we were surprised at how expansive the room is - with a jaw dropping bar structure, beautiful tables & flatware, and open concept kitchen, it was impossible not to love. The farm-to-table menu features fresh, high-quality ingredients that resulted in delicious dishes that wowed our guests. Robert was a wonderful place to have a reception, with Kristi as a fantastic event manager and Richard as day-of coordinator. They were incredibly helpful and professional, and quick to answer all of our questions as the day came nearer and set up a tasting to help choose our menu. Also of course the space is beautiful, the decorations perfect, the views amazing, and the food absolutely delicious. We got many rave reviews from our guests of the food! They easily had an open bar, live piano, and cocktail hour with activities after dinner. They were very accommodating and helped us with table set up, activities, cake cutting, a screen for photos, and house music. Would strongly recommend it as a place to host any event as there were no hiccups at all. We are very glad we managed to snag it for our wedding!

Working with Quality Branded group to create an intimate city wedding was a perfect fit from start to finish. My husband Dustin held our reception at Albert's Bar in April. My goodness I cannot begin to say enough about how picture perfect this venue is! Not only is the space itself beautiful and unbeatable, the team behind Albert's Bar are among the nicest and most helpful I've ever worked with. Their events lead Jenn was with us every step of the way, the manager Pete made us feel so seen & heard, and a massive thank you also to Abby for executing every detail for us on the day of the big event! The bar tenders and wait staff completed enamored my family & friends (and how kind were they to humor us in our excessive enthusiasm!) There are so many areas of our experience to rave about... Quite honestly, my family and friends are *still* waxing poetic about their big night out in midtown. This venue absolutely elevated the experience of everyone who attended. We had several high profile attendees from out of town who mentioned more than once that they were "completely blown away by Albert's". My guests who were local were equally impressed. We got married at The Milling Room on 12/9/23, with our family and closest friends in attendance (109 people). The entire team did a great job throughout the event. We were thrilled with how everything turned out. It's difficult to find a restaurant on the UWS that can accommodate a traditional ceremony and serve 110 people for dinner. The Milling Room did it so well! We would choose this venue all over again.

The day-of team was incredible and everyone always had what they needed. Our guests were pleasantly surprised how great and plentiful all the food was. We had our heart set on Strong Rope as the perfect spot for our wedding after party, and reached out to the team more than a year in advance. Even though they don't officially book until six months beforehand, Katie gave us all the information that we needed and when the 6-month window arrived we were already set with all of our options. They often do wedding after parties and have a specific package, which was relatively inexpensive. The team was easy to work with - they even helped put out some of our snacks! The beers are always good, and they loaded up our Spotify playlist. The beertenders were great. We'd highly recommend them for wedding afterparties, but honestly, would do so for any event!

The Prospect Park Boathouse was our absolute dream venue and the perfect setting for our big day! We had been torn between having a wedding more in nature or more in the city, and the Boathouse was the perfect blend between the two. Although the food wasn't our top priority, it ended up being a highlight of the day (especially the bacon wrapped dates). Throughout planning, Elena was very communicative and quick to respond to any email or question we had. Many of our guests commented on how elegant and classic New York the Boathouse was as a venue, and that's exactly what made us fall in love with it in the first place. We're also very excited that they recently opened a cafe out of the Boathouse during the day as well so that we can go back and relive our special day over and over again. We loved hosting our reception at Talea Cobble Hill! The venue was incredibly easy to work with - from getting an initial proposal, to updating the proposal a few times as we changed our minds about dates and times, to picking the food and drinks. The drinks tasted exactly as good (maybe better) than when we've gone for drinks on a typical weekend. The space provides a nice mix of seating and standing areas. We were able to use our own music playlist and present a few speeches followed by cake cutting - all very smooth. I'd strongly recommend this venue for a low-stress wedding event!

We hosted a Friday night welcome event for our wedding at Sound Fury Brewery and it was the perfect choice. We worked with Natalie, who was absolutely incredible - she and her team handled everything. They helped us build the menu, handled all staffing, and helped with audio set up. As our vision changed and the event grew bigger, they worked with us to adjust and made sure we had everything we needed. We can't recommend them enough for hosting events. The food was good (especially the pizzas), their beers are fun, and the ambiance is great. They even customized the little sign outside the brewery for us - it was so sweet! Natalie was a super-star.

My wife and I got married in an intimate brunch ceremony in the Garden room and it was absolutely everything we wanted. The space is beautiful with tons of natural light and we were able to comfortably fit our 20 guests photographer, second shooter, and planner. The staff were super helpful and beyond friendly - our guests never had to wait around to flag someone down and they were all very happy with the steady flow of drinks and food. The staff also quickly accommodated our request to bring out many orders of the famous pancakes (which really are that good) with the rest of the food (rather than after) and did some great jigsawing with all the food on the table. They also helpfully packaged up all the leftovers into a bunch of bags, allowing our us and our guests to take home extra food. Would highly recommend Sunday in Brooklyn, particularly if you are looking for a brunch time event. Only downside was the flooring in the Garden room is wood with a decent amount of room between planks and my heels kept getting stuck between them.

Where to begin...from the first time we met with Angie (the events director) all the way to our wedding day, she and the rest of the staff blew right past any expectations we could ever have and literally delivered our dream wedding. Our guests raved about how much fun they had and it cannot be overstated how much of that is due to the incredible atmosphere of the venue and the amazing people working there. They just made everything so easy. It goes without saying that Threes has top-notch beers, wine and cocktails that kept us and our guests very happy, but we have to give a special shoutout to THE FOOD. We opted for the Gotham Smash Burger (with an option for an Impossible patty for vegetarian/vegan guests) as our entree and I had multiple people tell me it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding, the best kale caesar salad they'd ever had period, and one of the vegetarian guests told me it was the best veggie burger she'd ever had in her life. Threes at Franklin Kent could not have been a more perfect place for our wedding. If you are looking for a laid-back yet elevated and romantic Brooklyn brewery vibe for your special day, look no further. They will take superb care of you!

We used Madeline's as a venue for the after party to our reception. Its a great spot with a beautiful private back room with its own bar and bathrooms. Brenton, the manager, was super helpful in showing off the space and figuring out the right option for our party. The staff was incredibly friendly and the drinks and food packages are exceedingly reasonable, especially for the area. Wanted to highlight that you can BYO DJ if wanted, as the have a separate audio setup in the back from the rest of the bar. Our guests had a blast and we were able to comfortably fit about 50 in the back room and there was room for a few more if needed. 10/10 would recommend Madeline's for any after parties, welcome parties or otherwise.

The owner of the restaurant, Bruno, gave us our first tour, the wedding and event coordinator Meryl helped us to plan every detail of an all-inclusive wedding and we were beyond satisfied every step of the way. Likewise, Meryl and her staff were responsive, kind, understanding, and patient with our persistent communication and innumerable questions. Holding to French tradition - they offered incomparable food and drink options, including options for vegan guests, and offered a variety of ways to reach the food and beverage minimum, like additional desserts and wine pairings. On our wedding day, Meryl and her team were at our sides when we needed them and taking care of everything else such as setting up our unconventional guest book, and ensuring that we kept on pace with our wedding day schedule so we didn’t worry about it. Bacchus Bistro offers unparalleled value, incredible familial service, and a neighborhood or backyard ambiance that made it an easy choice for my wife and I. Their food and drinks are truly incredible, change seasonally, and will always leave you dreaming for the next time you can return. We have a special place in our hearts for Bacchus. So much so that when we returned a year later to celebrate our anniversary, Meryl and Francois greeted us by name, wished us a happy anniversary, and helped us to celebrate even while they were hosting another wedding.

Our guests were enchanted by the skyline views and the delicious bites and drinks. Everyone was very impressed by the turnover from ceremony space to reception. It was incredibly quick and smooth. The team was a well oiled machine, They handled every transition and any small hiccup with precision and grace. The personal attention given to the couple throughout the reception was greatly appreciated. The attention to detail day of was a wonderful contrast to their more hands-off approach to the pre-planning. The front desk staff at the hotel provided exceptional service from handling questions about the room block to tracking down and setting up a pack and play for the littlest guest. My wife and I were determined to have our wedding in New York City and researched a bunch of venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Radegast was the last place that we visited, and we put our deposit down the day after our walk through and ended the search. Sean managed the booking for us, and we felt his attention and thoroughness immediately. This was in stark contrast to the apathy that we felt at other places; almost like we needed to work for any enthusiasm from the venue about booking with them. We felt “wined and dined” by Sean and super confident that he would take the event as seriously as we were. We ended up booking The Bier House space with the buffet food option. Our intuition was right, Radegast was incredible! Not only were they the most affordable option that we could find in the city for our number of guests, but the space was so beautiful that we didn’t have to spend money on any additional decor. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and friendly, and all of our guests were really impressed. Sean and the staff at Radegast “bent over backwards” (a quote from our wedding planner) to make sure that our vision for the day matched reality. They helped solve any problem that came along, and did so with a smile. They were as accommodating on the day of the event as they were in the months leading up to it. The price was exactly what we were quoted, there were not any unexpected add-ons or fees. The event was an absolute blast and the venue had a lot to do with it. Also the location is incredible. Williamsburg is perfect for everyone; your NYC friends are a subway ride away, your weird conservative relatives from Long Island can park in the parking garage literally across the street and run home right after the event, and anyone unfamiliar with the city will leave the event loving how pretty Brooklyn is. This is absolutely the best value for a wedding venue in New York City and the positive vibes are through the roof!
