We had a brief phone meeting a week before the wedding about how we wanted the vibe to be and he pulled it off perfectly. Us and our guests were blown away by his performance. After the wedding, all of our guests were raving how awesome he was! He blended all of our requested genres. The transitions between genres and between songs were spot on! He had all of our guests up and dancing. Our wedding coordinator said he was very easy to work and communicate with. He was very organized and had all the equipment we needed. He also took care of the emcee duties and did an awesome job! He had an app we could use to upload all of our song requests. We found it very useful for organizing the songs we wanted played at each part of the night. He totally killed it and we could not imagine anyone doing better. 10/10. “From Above Entertainment provided both our DJ and photo booth for our wedding at The Charming Estate. I was a little nervous since we didn’t find out who our DJ would be until about 1 month out, but Julie did a wonderful job matching us up with DJ 720. We gave pretty minimal input for cocktail hour and reception music, and DJ 720 did a great job reading the room and transitioning between the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the open dance portion of the night. We had warned them that we probably didn’t have many guests who would be tearing up the dance floor, but our DJ was still able to keep the vibes high for people wanting to dance and people wanting to just sing along to the music. Guests also loved the Photo Booth that was set up and all of the fun props. The Photo Booth staff ended up making extra prints of all the pictures that husband and I were in. It was really nice of them to send us home with both those prints and all photos on a USB.”

“We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

I've attended parties with a sax player before, but NEVER like this and never one who does BOTH the DJing AND the sax! From the moment I reached out, Tyler was incredible. He followed up quickly and was great with all communications - we hopped on a call and to go over my theme and ideas, and he was so receptive and amazing with adding in things to help take my existing ideas to the next level. He even helped with the floor plan suggestions to help ensure my goal of "everyone being on the dance floor with me all night" would be more achievable - and omg am I glad I listened. Additionally, he suggested extending the party 1 hour, and thankfully we did because my initial timing guess was way off. Bottom line - trust him, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. At the same time, he was never pushy and I never felt like I HAD to go with his ideas, but again, so glad I did. On the night of the party, from start to finish Tyler and his team were flawless. He made sure to play all of my "must play" songs, and read the vibes of the room perfectly - I've truly never seen some of my guests dance this much EVER. The amount of people who came up to me that night and have texted and called me since to tell me how epic Tyler and his team were is not surprising in the least. Multiple guests described it as the "best party they've ever been to" and said they "haven't danced that much since college" (and let's just say, it's been at least 15-20 years since then for all of us). One of my friends even booked him on the spot for her upcoming birthday! I could truly go on and on, but I will just end with this - DON'T THINK TWICE, DON'T BOTHER LOOKING ELSEWHERE, BOOK TYLER. “Not sure where to begin writing this review. There are truly no words big enough to describe how special Cello Joe was as our wedding DJ. He wasn’t just a part of our wedding day, he made our wedding day. From the very first moment to the very last song, he gave us something so magical, so unforgettable, that it still makes us emotional to think about. He was literally the heartbeat of our day. He played live cello pre ceremony for all the guests to enjoy that was truly so beautiful. But the live cello as I walked down the aisle is a memory etched into our hearts forever. It was more than music. It felt like the soundtrack to our love story, and it was the most beautiful beginning to the rest of our lives. Then, during cocktail hour, he transformed the atmosphere with looping, beatboxing, and cello in a way that left every single guest completely captivated. People couldn’t stop talking about it, and even now, they’re still telling us it was the most unique and breathtaking performance they’ve ever experienced at a wedding from start to finish. And then there was the saxophonist he brought in during the dance party. pure magic. Together, they created an energy that was electric, soulful, and overflowing with joy. They didn’t just entertain, they touched every heart in the room. Not only was he the most talented cello musician, he absolutely crushed the dance party and played non stop for 3:30 hours. Not one bad song or bad mix. It was absolutely incredible. But what truly sets him apart is how much heart he pours into what he does. Without us even knowing, he recorded our entire ceremony, our cocktail hour, our dance floor, and gifted us not just music, but memories. He allowed us to relive the most important day of our lives again and again. That level of thoughtfulness is beyond anything we could have imagined. Our wedding was perfect because of him. He exceeded every expectation and gave us more than we ever dreamed possible. He is, without question, the most talented, kind, and extraordinary musician and DJ we have ever met. If we could give him more than 5 stars, we would. To us, he isn’t just the best wedding DJ in the world, he’s someone we will forever be grateful for, someone who gave us the gift of a wedding day that truly felt like a dream. Cello Joe, thank you for all the moments you created throughout our weekend. You truly are one of the most talented people we’ve ever met and I will be recommending you to everybody I know!!”
