“Our experience with Wedgewood was unbelievably fabulous. I genuinely didn’t think that any kind of event planning could be so streamlined and attentive. My now-husband and I aren’t exactly flush with free time. Wedgewood worked with our schedule, which was invaluable. The venue, planning, and the day-of team truly made my dreams come true. The venue: my husband and I are both from Colorado & it was a perfect opportunity to provide our guests with a slice of Colorado. Mountainview Ranch was about an hour away from our home outside of Denver, tucked into the mountains far enough to offer stunning geological landscapes and forests and close enough to ensure no one gets lost or carsick on their way. We chose the lakeview location, as it offered the suite of cabins for our guests. Lakeview itself is gorgeous. The bridal & groom suites are roomy & comfortable, the ceremony space is beyond perfect, and the big hall and expansive decks offer stunning views. We went with all of their included/recommended vendors, and all crushed it! Coordination: we toured the venue with Alex, who was awesome. She answered all our (many) questions and sat down with us to discuss what pricing and budgeting looks like. Obviously, as an all-inclusive venue, it’s not an extreme-budget option, but the package cost compared to my estimation of a non-inclusive/DIY version of the same wedding was VASTLY more affordable AND included all the legwork done by experienced professionals. There were 3 main meetings, 6 months, 6 weeks, & ten days out. All were productive and painless. Our coordinator, Caryn, was a true blessing. Patient, funny, detail-oriented, & kind: we never felt rushed or pressured with her. She was on top of everything! I spent my wedding prep time doing fun little DIYs instead of needing to coordinate. The Day-Of: Another shout-out to Caryn, who gracefully guided our listening-challenged family through every step of the process, herded the wedding party to where we needed to be, and answered questions for me. She also ensured my husband and I remained fed and watered, which was vital! The ceremony was beautifully managed. Caryn delivered us food in the bridal suite after the ceremony, and even managed to snap a beautiful photo of our dip kiss, print it, and put it framed on our sweetheart table before we sat down for dinner. A magical woman, truly. Our banquet team also killed it: our captain Mikayla ensured the buffet went off without a hitch. Mikayla also carefully packed us each a meal, complete with appetizers & dessert, which we treasured the day after the wedding when we got home to an empty fridge. The rest of the banquet team, Christy, Tyler, Callie, Maddie, and Nate truly lit up our service with their smiles and assistance. They were all SO helpful, kind, and enthusiastic. I received several comments on how happy they were to lend a hand. Finally: a special shout out to the photobooth, which I worried might be a little over-played. People LOVED it, and it allowed guests to select how many copies they wanted printed. It was delightful. We are genuinely floored. I cannot believe it was as good as it was: it felt like a dream. I got so many compliments on the venue and the wedding and the food (and everything else!!), and so many people marveled at how seamless and fun an event it was. It was all Wedgewood! I feel like all we had to do was show up! I am absolutely patting myself on the back for choosing Wedgewood (& especially Mountainview).”

“WOW. Cannot say enough about how special this venue is. The massive mountain vistas, wide open spaces, fresh air and coziness; this place has is magical. If you are looking for a venue to escape to the mountains and craft a purposeful weekend full of your favorite people in a rustic, outdoor paradise, you've found it. We got married in mid July on the ranch and had the full weekend to enjoy time with loved ones. From the very beginning, Allison was flexible and genuinely wanted to know how to help make our day a success. This is not your traditional cookie-cutter venue and is such an exceptional place to really make your wedding YOURS. All of the basics are there but none of the frilly bells and whistles we didn't need. The property is massive and so picturesque with sweeping plains and big mountains all around. The space is so accommodating for whatever you want to dream up for your special day and perhaps most unique of all, it can be rented for an entire weekend as a place to stay and celebrate with those you love so you don't need to try to squeeze everything into a single evening. We had a relaxed welcome event with a taco truck, beers and yard games on Friday night as an excuse to spend some extra time with out of town guests. As it cooled down, everyone gathered around the firepits trading stories. The night before really took pressure off of the wedding day and the meadow within the ranch was so perfect. There is even a saloon with a whole selection of games (ping-pong, cornhole, horseshoes) already there to enjoy. This also served as a fabulous indoor space for 15 minutes right after our ceremony on Saturday when we had a quick afternoon thunderstorm roll through. The barn was cozy and a perfect space for dancing during the reception. We danced until 2 am and although our vendors all trickled out when their roles were done, there was no cut-off time at the venue itself so we were able to dance all night long. This is incredibly unique. Very few venues allow this. We fell in love with the views first but truly could not have imagined a more fabulous, relaxed space for our celebration. Thank you Guyton Ranch! It will forever be a special place in our hearts.”

“Our daughter's September wedding at Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills was amazing! The venue is a unique and beautiful location. We used their on-site chef and the food was delicious! It was really cool for the guests to stay in tents and wagons as well as the lodge. Planning with the staff was not as easy and organized as expected but overall, the event was a success. I would recommend using at least a "day of" wedding planner for this location to work with the staff. We were on our own and found it to be a little unorganized. Overall, it was great, and we would recommend this for your special day!”

Luckily it was a beautiful day, so we were able to be on the deck with mountain views! Our ceremony on the back steps was absolutely stunning with nature as our backdrop, and the hotel's intimate atmosphere made our guests feel so welcome. The staff created a cozy, welcoming environment that really captured what we wanted for our special day. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Once our ceremony was over, we walked a couple steps up to the ski run to take pictures. It really couldn't have been any more convenient. I would recommend this boutique hotel for any couple looking for an intimate wedding. I wish I could live it all over again. One of the best days of my life! “Freight was the most perfect wedding venue for us. Mostly, I loved the western/ mountain/ country vibe to it, makes it very unique. It’s beautiful inside as well especially with the string lights. The staff was 10/10 amazing. I barely did a single thing on my wedding day, they had everything taken care of from set up to filling leftover food boxes for us. Loved the option to rent so many things through stellar and sage too. The indoor/ outdoor combo was absolutely perfect too. All of our friends/ fam are talking about how cool the venue was still. The cabins are an awesome bonus too to have friends/ fam right on site. Highly recommend!”

While the overall rental fee for the full venue was a bit on the pricier side, it was well worth it for the stunning setting and seamless service. Krista, the coordinator at the lake house, was such a joy to work with and ensured that every detail was taken care of, including providing all the necessary tables and chairs. Evergreen Lake House is a beautiful rustic log cabin perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsals. Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and overlooking the beautiful Evergreen Lake, this 5,000-square-foot lodge integrates the charm of an intimate celebration into a warm ballroom-like spaciousness. The Great Room, which seats up to 200 people, is fitted with a large stone fireplace and several floor-to-ceiling glass doors that provide easy access to the spectacular view beyond. The smaller Octagon Room has seven windowed sides– so no matter where you are inside, the scenic outdoors are never hidden from view! For outdoor ceremonies, the deck seats up to 100 people (with additional standing room). The deck features log railings and a flagstone step down to the grassy lawn. Church of the Cross

“The team at Church of the Cross is an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style is responsive and warm and helpful throughout the planning process. The venue itself was charming, with beautiful woodwork and an intimate, cozy atmosphere and affordable. They are incredibly accommodating, offering tours beforehand, providing a pastor, and being available on the day to lend a hand where needed. They also have an outdoor space for small ceremonies, a kitchen if needed, and ample parking. The central Evergreen location also makes it easy to enjoy nearby reception options. Plus it's a short distance to Evergreen Lake and the Lakehouse if you want to take great photos. There is also a chance there will be elk and deer roaming around the church as it's a common place they gather, which can really make for a magical day.”

Echo Mountain

“In our hunt for a venue, we really wanted stunning mountain backdrops for our wedding. We also didn’t want to travel crazy far into the mountains knowing we had a lot of guests who would be flying in from out of state. Echo Mountain perfectly fits those two requirements as it is just under an hour from Golden and feels like you’re not close to the city at all with the stunning views. The venue has a lodge, but we actually decided to go with the tent setup as we wanted to have a bit more outdoors for the day. Echo does need to do all of the alcohol due to licenses, but they are so flexible that it wasn’t an issue at any point. We are super into wine, and they have a close relationship with a local wine store in Kittridge (Piney Wines) where we were able to purchase just a few bottles of wine that we wanted to supplement the bar. The bar also had no issues doing our signature drinks (French 75 and Espresso Martini). Finally, I have only the highest praise for the venue coordinator, Meg. She was absolutely amazing, answering every single email that we sent since we were planning from out of state (which there were a lot). The day of she even helped by hopping on the phone with a cousin who got lost getting to the venue to make sure they made it in time for the ceremony. She was amazing to work with and made Echo the best possible place for us to have our wedding, we loved it!”
