Our day-of coordinator, Stacey, did an incredible job of executing all the details flawlessly - everything felt thoughtful and taken care of. They even surprised us by leaving a gorgeous photo they had taken of us right after our ceremony on our sweetheart table, which we loved. All of the vendors we worked with at Fern Hill Barn were wonderful, and our guests are still talking about what an amazing, dreamy night it was. It was truly the perfect wedding venue for us!

Where do I even begin - Stone Garden is a fairytale dream! Every single aspect of our experience, from the first moment we set foot on the property, was perfect! We used Stone Garden as our ‘welcome party’ venue the night before (we had a taco truck come yard games and bar service by Stone Garden), our wedding ceremony and reception venue, our florals, our bartending with custom drinks, and our coordinators. We are SO happy we did. For our wedding, we wanted something outdoors but with a rain plan, with a view on the water, with parking, flexible with our decor ideas, and close to hotels. We got all of this and beyond. Kristen and Frank really make magic happen. They are experts in paying attention to detail, going the extra mile to make your vision come to life, and making you feel important and celebrated. The second we met them we knew we were in good, trustworthy hands. Our wedding dreams included driving up to the ceremony in a 1955 Chevy, disco balls hung over the dance floor, tons of candles and bud vases, an extra cake for a birthday, vintage furniture, a portrait artist, an audio guestbook, and more. All of this was PERFECTLY achieved in the most gloriously beautiful way. IN THE RAIN. We were expecting a drizzle but it totally poured on our wedding day. Kristen and Frank communicated with us up to the final hours to decide how we could make the most of our day, and they were able to pivot and adapt to every single change- including moving furniture and putting sides on the tent. Their team kept us fed, informed, and completely carefree all night long. Our guests cannot stop telling us how beautiful the venue was (the view, the landscaping, the lights, everything!) and how nice and talented all the staff were. Everyone asks me how I found such a gem. We all loved it so much. It felt elegant and cozy at the same time. Every single recommendation for vendors, hotels, transportation -every piece of advice offered to us by Kristen and Frank- was so valuable and impeccable. I will never stop talking about my flowers- Kristen absolutely NAILED my vision and I have preserved all of them in as many ways as I could. Frank made the most gorgeous, delicious drinks for us and we drank them out of our own special glasses we brought from home, and the staff kept them full for us all night long, without us ever once asking!! Kristen’s coordination staff even took photos and videos for us throughout the night, and some of my very favorite keepsakes of the whole wedding are from them. They are angels!!! The whole team!!!!! I cannot recommend Stone Garden enough, I will be raving about it FOREVER.

The Colonial Hotel was the perfect place to host our wedding. We stayed over the night before and got ready there the morning of, and had our cocktail hour and reception under the tent. From the first email, Mary was beyond helpful and communicative. She made the entire process as smooth as possible. I always felt like she had it under control! She even let us drop off our decor a couple weeks in advance, and then her and her team handled all of the setup. Although I was extremely involved in the planning during my engagement, Mary made it easy to enjoy the day and forget about all of the little things. The convenience of the Colonial Grille made it easy to continue on to our after party. The food was great and so were the drinks! The best part was finishing pictures and immediately having Mary deliver my new husband & I our signature cocktails without having to ask. Their partnership with Gerardos also made the cake process extremely easy. Would 10000000% recommend working with Mary & her team for your big day!

We were married 11/16/2024 here and we could not be happier with our choice of venue. Nancy and Donna were fantastic to work with and answered any questions we had right away. On the day of the wedding Donna was extremely helpful. We truly felt that the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good day; they checked in on my husband and I during pictures multiple times to ensure we were able to enjoy the appetizers we had selected. We got so many compliments about the food and the aesthetic of the venue. If you are concerned about food allergies, rest assured that you are in good hands with this kitchen. Anything we needed they covered right away. Our easel was missing a screw and they were kind enough to let us borrow one! We truly felt very taken care of. They were extremely patient and understanding with any decisions we had trouble making or any time we were disorganized. The wedding coordinator that they recommended to us was AWESOME to work with as well. I loved the bridal suite. We had so much space and the decor was beautiful. It reminded me of my grandmother’s house which made me feel even more comfortable. I highly recommend getting the apple cider mimosas and snacks they offer while you’re getting ready there! Absolutely kept everyone happy in the morning. Our photos and portraits that were taken both inside and outside are simply gorgeous; I can’t say enough about how good they came out. The way the lighting comes in is a photographer’s dream. The entire layout of the venue makes for excellent photos. This venue is also very affordable compared to every other space we looked at. It felt like it was made for us to get married in and we cannot wait to return there for dinner on our anniversaries. Thank you so much to the Salem cross inn for being a part of the happiest day of our lives!

We had the most perfect wedding day at the Herb Lyceum. When we got engaged we knew we wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding and struggled to find a venue that welcomed smaller events. I came across The Herb Lyceum on Instagram and knew that this was the space for us. We held our wedding in the sunken garden, cocktail hour on the lawn and dinner in the greenhouse. The space was magical. They have a beautiful bar and cocktail hour set up. The greenhouse was exactly how we envisioned our day to look like. We received several comments that our wedding had the best food and cocktails of any wedding guests had been to. We are so grateful to the Herb Lyceum team for making our day so special. Tavis was so helpful, responsive, organized and calm during the process, she made planning the event so easy. I couldn't recommend the Herb Lyceum enough, it really is a special place. The Manor is rich with history, and is in a beautiful, luxurious condition. It features a large eat in kitchen, formal dining room, ample sitting rooms, 6 bedrooms each with their own bathroom and shower, a game room and swimming pool. The 2500 square foot barn is renovated to perfection with classy gold lighting features, a built in bar and large picture windows. Just outside the barn is ample land for a beautiful ceremony set up, an outdoor patio for cocktail hour and a covered pavilion. There is a great security in knowing you have a rain plan here. All of the event spaces include tables and chairs!

While my husband and I didn't get married at Milliken Manor, we had the pleasure of working with Kristen and Blackwater Events for our wedding in November 2025. It was an absolute joy to work with her from Day 1. She took every wish on our wishlist and made it a reality. She coordinated a "bouquet-making station" for me and my bridesmaids and created a timeline that maximized dancing for the guests. She pulled off a Chipotle dinner buffet that my husband thought was only a pipe dream (and even made it "upscale" enough to please my mother). Last but certainly not least, she somehow got my dad excited about the planning process and navigated family dynamics like a saint. If I had it to do all over again, it would certainly be with Kristen - and this time at Milliken Manor!

We also hired her for her beautiful rental decor & florals! She absolutely killed it and it could not have turned out better. Everyone loved the florals & decor! My bouquet & the bridesmaids were breathtaking and she nailed all my inspo I sent her! She did our arbor also and it was stunning!! She’s truly an amazing person and really cares about all of your wants and needs! & bonus because she makes it happen!! Overall If I could have done anything different I wouldn’t have! From the very beginning, Tracy the wedding coordinator was incredibly responsive, quick to answer our questions, and open and informative throughout the planning process. She helped to make sure we had everything squared away, from when we should be sending out our save the dates and invites all the way up to what sort of vendors we would need in order to help make our day special! We had multiple meetings with her well before our wedding to make sure we are hitting all the milestones, while helping to offer good advice, and ideas on what we should add for our day. Tracy was so friendly and great to work with, she was so accommodating and helped us fulfill any special requests that we had as best as she could! Tracy was even with us on the day of our wedding, helping to coordinate all of our vendors and be the point of contact for them, so we ourselves did not have to worry about anything other than getting ready! The venue itself is so pretty and in a great location, tucked away off the main road it is a nice secluded area! The ballroom itself was spotless, with a modern and updated design that provided an elegant backdrop for our celebration. But the real highlight was the beautiful outdoor ceremony space, which offered a scenic and serene setting for our vows. With ample room to accommodate all of our guests, the seamless flow between the ceremony area and the ballroom made the day effortless. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to host our special day!

My wife & I had the privilege to get married surrounded by our friends & family at the beautiful Montague Retreat Center in June of 2024. There’s a seemingly endless list of what drew us to MRC, but some key features to highlight: - Incredibly beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces - Comfortable, spacious, and accessible on-site lodging options - Flexible weekend buyout, enabling us to bring all of our ideas to life without much restriction or hurdles - Wheelhouse Catering: some of the best wedding food we’ve ever tasted in our lives - All of Montague staff, especially Jason Jason deserves his own dedicated review, but from the planning stages all the way through until the end of our weekend, Jason made himself available and ready to help. Jason referred several our vendors that made our day go off without a hitch, all of whom brought creative and personal touches that made our day so special. He consistently went above and beyond day of as well, from catching decorations that needed to be put out, to being hands-on assisting guests that needed extra help, and facilitating vendors to ensure everything was in its right place. His knowledge and general presence brought a calming energy that really helped us feel at home at MRC. For our wedding weekend (170 guests), we really took advantage of all we could at MRC. We observed first hand and heard from guests after our wedding that they felt they had plenty of space to enjoy themselves comfortably through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. With the full weekend rented, we used every square inch that the venue offered: - Friday: Portable Brick Oven Pizza in front of the Great Hall - Saturday AM: family provided breakfast buffet near the dining tent - Ceremony: Outdoor up on the ceremony ring - Cocktail Hour: Custom Poetry and plenty of activities all around the barn - Reception: Live band with stage lighting & sound; DJ later in the evening - Saturday Night: Late night fire pit & snacks for the wedding party - Sunday AM: Bagel sandwiches from Tandem Bagel in the lower level of the barn We can’t stress enough how perfect our weekend was at MRC. Montague Retreat Center will always hold a special place in our hearts, as it left a lasting impact on not only us, but our friends and family as well. At the end of our wedding weekend, many of our family members suggested that we rent out the space for a night every few years for a recurring big family bash. We may have to do just that!

We discovered this venue through Zola and fell in love with it immediately from the very first look online. Right away, we knew it felt like the perfect place for our wedding day! We scheduled a tour on January 29, 2023, and brought our parents along because we wanted to see if they liked it as much as we did. Seeing the venue in person, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Moira showed us every detail of the property, including the Barn and the Winthrop Room (the two reception spaces), the Alpheus Room (indoor ceremony space), the patio, and the beautiful lawn where we could take family, wedding party, and bride-and-groom photos. By the end of the tour, we knew this was the one, and we officially booked our wedding for October 26, 2024. Throughout the planning process, the venue staff’s professionalism and experience stood out. Moira was able to answer any and all questions we had about any aspect of the wedding from the dimensions of the arbor in the Alpheus room to special meal accommodations for a guest. Also, we initially planned our ceremony for 5 PM but realized that with our late-October date, we wouldn’t have enough daylight for formal photos after the ceremony. We talked to Moira, and we were able to adjust the timeline, pushing the ceremony earlier so we could capture outdoor photos before sunset. On the big day, everything exceeded our expectations! The food was a highlight, with our guests raving about all of the food, which included filet of beef, grilled salmon, vegetable lasagna, and chicken tenders for all the kids (or kids at heart). The venue also ensured that we had some food to eat during the photo session during cocktail hour to make sure that we were happy and not hangry while taking pictures! Because of the earlier ceremony time, we were able to utilize the gazebo on the property for some formal photos and a first look with Kayla and her dad before the ceremony. During the cocktail hour, we took the remaining photos out on the lawn with the stunning fall colors as a backdrop. Overall, The Barn at Wight Farm supported us in every way and did everything necessary to give us the wedding of our dreams. We can’t recommend it more!

Pleasant valley was also much cheaper than a lot of places we looked at. Getting married during covid was not an easy process.
