Residing on a country road, nestled between Washington, DC and Annapolis, MD, I can't help but pinch myself daily that I get to do what I love for a living. When I'm not capturing the love stories of the awesome couples I get to work with, you can find me loving every minute of life with my bald-headed husband, our sweet baby girl, and our big-eared pup.

“Long review coming, but I can't help myself. Erin was the best decision of my wedding! I cared about three things for my wedding, and photography was one of them. Finding a photographer was a daunting task since at the end of the day I knew I would leave with two things: my husband and my pictures. From the very beginning, Erin was a delight to work with. Photography, one of my top priorities, became my lowest stressor leading up to my wedding and the day of. Erin is a phenomenal communicator. She is clear, timely, and respectful. She asked about our photography desires, encouraged questions, and confirmed information to ensure that we achieved what we wanted. Erin always responded quickly which was so helpful when trying to coordinate everything needed for a wedding. The day of the wedding she and her second photographer, Monica (an absolute gem!!), were excellent communicators with all of the adults and children present when relaying what they wanted and needed us to do for photos. They helped with poses and gave amazing feedback (both positive and adjustments needed) throughout the day to help us feel comfortable and get good shots (neither my husband nor myself are natural at posing, but our photos turned out amazing)! Erin is calm, organized, and KIND (exactly what a couple needs during the planning process and on the wedding day)! Everything was clearly outlined prior to signing a contract. Once signing, you have a login to see all of your information in one place (contract, payments, questionnaire, etc.) which makes it so easy to keep track of everything related to our photography. As a Type A person, I so appreciated how clear and organized all of the information was. She has a second photographer included on the wedding day who helps keep track of the previously-determined photos (confirmed during a phone call) and ensures that everyone is in place so photos don't take a million hours. We were able to complete all pre- and post-ceremony pictures (we had a lot) in about an hour total for both. She was so sweet and made both of us feel unbelievably comfortable. She's someone you'll genuinely want to stay friends with after the wedding! Both Erin and Monica were so thorough and detailed. Not only did they review everything I didn't know I needed to think about prior to the wedding, but the day of the wedding they handled everything with such attention to detail that it completely removed all pressure from us and our families. Erin and Monica knew the photos we wanted and made sure to get all of them throughout the day. They constantly helped adjust my gown, veil, hair, and poses to ensure that not only the framing and lighting was perfect (which it was), but that there were no little details out of place that would drive OCD me crazy haha. They also brought tremendous equipment that allowed them to shoot multiple ways in multiple lighting scenarios. We were married in an old church, had a reception in a wood-paneled moody, dark room, and finished with photos at the Jefferson Memorial. Every single venue had perfectly lit photos. They both jumped around, walked up and down, switched out cameras, and straight up WORKED (at impeccable speed) to get us so many amazing angles and photos. On top of everything. Erin helped us create beautiful photo albums for us and our parents. To say Erin is worth the investment is the understatement of the century. We are forever grateful to her for capturing our important day!”

“I hosted my daughter-in-laws Hundred Acre Wood themed baby shower brunch at Walden Country Club on 12/8/24. From the beginning and planning with Ilene Murphy everything went smoothly. She even gave me great recommendations for things which worked out well. On the day of the event, I was so delighted with the special creative touches. The sign for the shower had a Hundred Acre Wood map on it, the napkins were folded into tree shapes, and the juice bottles for the mimosa bar had Pooh characters on them. To top it off the food was delicious thanks to Alice and team and the service was impeccable. It was a magical day! Thanks to Ilene, Alice, Grace and the entire staff.”

“We had our wedding in the ballroom. Very scenic and beautiful venue! Overall a pretty good venue that includes food, tables, chairs, linens, etc. The ballroom house itself is beautiful with lots of light indoors due to the large windows, and a nice deck for an outside ceremony. Zoe communicated with us and answered all our questions and did our tasting and planning, until a week before the actual day where we were assigned a day of coordinator. I found this system to be not great, since the day of coordinator was essentially a stranger that you've never talked to at all, and you basically have to re explain everything you want. Even though they have an online planning tool (which is old and outdated), I found that they got our aisle directions wrong, the reception layout wrong, and our dinner meals were wrong. Thankfully, we had a separate planner that was able to correct these things, so I recommend getting an outside coordinator that works directly with you if you have room in the budget. Another thing was our limited setup time of 1.5 hours meaning the florist and other vendors couldn't set up earlier with more elaborate decorations and had to do something simple. I found out that this is because they had another wedding at the same place before ours (literally ending at 4) and so they rush to get the place cleaned for the evening wedding. The main room and the suit was renovated, but the bathrooms were all still dingy and not the best/cleanest to use. The food was good though, better than we had at our tasting and they got it out fast. Our vendors were fed the same food, and our guests thought it was pretty good wedding food. Apart from the couple hiccups we had, we thought the venue was great overall and really beautiful and we don't regret having our wedding there at all. It could be a little bit better in the small details for the price though.”

“Let's be real. Weddings are wonderful and powerful and amazing days, but they're also big balls of stress. The best advice I ever received was from a friend who said, "find the photographer who can capture the amazing intimate moments, but also the person who you'd want to be a fly on the wall for them." After all, you spend about as much time with your wedding photographer as you do with your new spouse. Bethany was perfect for us. She captured engagement photos so stunning, so authentic, that I wish we could get a new set every year for our family. She captured perfect (occasionally hilarious) moments at the wedding that I would have completely missed otherwise - the way a friend helped you relax by pressing down on your shoulders as you got ready, the way your cousins looked at each other during a wedding toast, the way the cabin looked, it was perfect. And she created an amazing, dramatic photo that took full advantage of the rainy weekend. She's also just fun to be with; despite the stress around us, she was ready with a little joke that helped put us at ease. I think she's one of the only photographers who really got "me" in photos - not the person I try to be, or the awkward person who is trying to smile in the photos, but the person I am. I couldn't recommend her more.”

My journey into the wedding industry may be unconventional, but it has given me the skills and expertise to execute flawless events with ease. I started my career as a civil engineer, managing large-scale projects where problem-solving, attention to detail, and seamless coordination were essential. While I loved the technical side of it, what truly excited me was bringing a vision to life—orchestrating every moving piece to ensure a successful outcome. Now, I’ve combined my love for organization and creativity into wedding coordination and event planning, where I help couples turn their dream weddings into reality.

“Y’all, it is not an over-exaggeration when I say: hiring EventBay and Bashan was single-handedly the greatest choice we made in our entire wedding process. I cannot thank Bashan enough for her services, in addition to her several helpers who supported our wedding. My husband and I contracted with EventBay for our day-of wedding coordination. We’d heard great things about her through our friend/my bridesmaid, and all the hype was real. When we say we chose her, we didn’t realize that this service would include Bashan showing up to and running our entire rehearsal, giving us wrap-around services the day of, and meeting with us several times leading up to the wedding itself. We were so incredibly grateful for all of the supports Bashan gave us throughout the entire process. In addition to her coordination services, we also contracted with Bashan for balloon decoration. Bashan got to know Miles and I with our initial call, in person meeting at the venue, and zoom call, and with all of that knowledge, she threw together the most BEAUTIFUL balloon arch. This took up one of the major walls in our wedding and was full of rainbow colors (I’m nonbinary), marbled balloons, and was complete with thoughtful details of rainbow roses inserted into every color change in the arch. WOW! Let me tell you: this thing took my breath away. I was married at a local venue, and while the event was GORGEOUS, Bashan insured that I would never be aware that a tragedy occurred at the venue unrelated to the wedding. She handled the issue with grace and her and her staff ensured that those of us in the wedding never felt the impact of what occurred. You never want a disaster to strike at your wedding, but to my knowledge, that day, I wasn’t even aware that one had happened, and that really speaks to the services EventBay provides. From now on, I will be contracting with Bashan for everything. If ever a friend needs an event planner, a decorator, ANYTHING, I will tell them: don’t go to anyone else. This is who you NEED!”

“I’ll preface by saying this is my second marriage and can compare my experience with to my first wedding. Catering By Uptown was fantastic from the beginning. They have excellent responsiveness, attention to detail and the food is amazing. Everything we wanted on our wedding day was accomplished. The only slight frustration I experienced was not having contact with our specific day of coordinator until the week of the wedding. But that didn’t even end up being an issue because, as I mentioned, everything was perfect. They’re so flexible and easy to work with. Though I wasn’t communicating with the same person every time I had questions, their internal communication was so strong and efficient that it seemed like I was talking the the same person. I can’t recommend them enough.”

I found photography my freshman year of high school (I needed some credits in a pinch and this was it), three days in class and I was in love. Fast forward a few year (hey! hey! not too many years... Watch it! lol) and I'm still just as in love as that third day.
