“Maddy and Cass were always happy, fun and genuinely interested in not just the wedding, but our family and our happiness! They could not have been more dependable, utterly trustworthy, organized, always accessible, and showed great judgement! One example of how they went above and beyond was we had a decorative seating chart on a 69”X78” 20 paned glass window that they protected, transported and stored for us at their inconvenience. Furthermore, during the wedding reception not only did they make sure everything was perfect as we planned, but on the fly they used great judgement to make the reception better by tweaking the arrangement. As well, we had no worries once the wedding was over because we knew we could trust them to secure anything of value and what we owned, as well as what any vendor might of left behind. Even so far as to hold our possessions in their home until it was convenient for us to get them. We loved Maddy and Cass and highly recommend them as your wedding planners.”

“We had our wedding in the ballroom. Very scenic and beautiful venue! Overall a pretty good venue that includes food, tables, chairs, linens, etc. The ballroom house itself is beautiful with lots of light indoors due to the large windows, and a nice deck for an outside ceremony. Zoe communicated with us and answered all our questions and did our tasting and planning, until a week before the actual day where we were assigned a day of coordinator. I found this system to be not great, since the day of coordinator was essentially a stranger that you've never talked to at all, and you basically have to re explain everything you want. Even though they have an online planning tool (which is old and outdated), I found that they got our aisle directions wrong, the reception layout wrong, and our dinner meals were wrong. Thankfully, we had a separate planner that was able to correct these things, so I recommend getting an outside coordinator that works directly with you if you have room in the budget. Another thing was our limited setup time of 1.5 hours meaning the florist and other vendors couldn't set up earlier with more elaborate decorations and had to do something simple. I found out that this is because they had another wedding at the same place before ours (literally ending at 4) and so they rush to get the place cleaned for the evening wedding. The main room and the suit was renovated, but the bathrooms were all still dingy and not the best/cleanest to use. The food was good though, better than we had at our tasting and they got it out fast. Our vendors were fed the same food, and our guests thought it was pretty good wedding food. Apart from the couple hiccups we had, we thought the venue was great overall and really beautiful and we don't regret having our wedding there at all. It could be a little bit better in the small details for the price though.”

We got to know her during our Engagment photo shoot and were excited to work with her then and at the wedding. She helped us figure out our day of timeline and how photos would fit into it since we were planning on doing a first look and knocking out ALL of the immediate family portraits out of the way… and there were 140 photo combinations we wanted due to us both having 3 siblings each and divorced parents. “Y’all, it is not an over-exaggeration when I say: hiring EventBay and Bashan was single-handedly the greatest choice we made in our entire wedding process. I cannot thank Bashan enough for her services, in addition to her several helpers who supported our wedding. My husband and I contracted with EventBay for our day-of wedding coordination. We’d heard great things about her through our friend/my bridesmaid, and all the hype was real. When we say we chose her, we didn’t realize that this service would include Bashan showing up to and running our entire rehearsal, giving us wrap-around services the day of, and meeting with us several times leading up to the wedding itself. We were so incredibly grateful for all of the supports Bashan gave us throughout the entire process. In addition to her coordination services, we also contracted with Bashan for balloon decoration. Bashan got to know Miles and I with our initial call, in person meeting at the venue, and zoom call, and with all of that knowledge, she threw together the most BEAUTIFUL balloon arch. This took up one of the major walls in our wedding and was full of rainbow colors (I’m nonbinary), marbled balloons, and was complete with thoughtful details of rainbow roses inserted into every color change in the arch. WOW! Let me tell you: this thing took my breath away. I was married at a local venue, and while the event was GORGEOUS, Bashan insured that I would never be aware that a tragedy occurred at the venue unrelated to the wedding. She handled the issue with grace and her and her staff ensured that those of us in the wedding never felt the impact of what occurred. You never want a disaster to strike at your wedding, but to my knowledge, that day, I wasn’t even aware that one had happened, and that really speaks to the services EventBay provides. From now on, I will be contracting with Bashan for everything. If ever a friend needs an event planner, a decorator, ANYTHING, I will tell them: don’t go to anyone else. This is who you NEED!”

After postponing our wedding twice due to Covid, we abandoned our original plans of having a huge wedding at home in Kentucky and decided to have a small ceremony at the beach in Florida. Neither of us like being photographed much but from our engagement shoot to day of, working with her was a breeze and FUN. In 2007 I decided to go full time with wedding photography. I moved out west to apprentice with veteran wedding photographers in Las Vegas and Los Angeles to master studio lighting and posing techniques. I began working full time as a wedding photographer in Annapolis under my own company in 2009. Since then, I have met hundreds of amazing couples.
