In 1945 a hard-working farmer, Thomas Hricovec had a vision to cater to families with a welcoming atmosphere. His wife, Mary, stood by him and dedicated her time to help him in their journey. The two worked together along with family & friends to make their dream come true. Using their farmland, the Hricovecs changed their lifestyle from farming food, to serving food as well. They broke ground in 1958 and celebrated their first wedding in the fall of 1959. Thomas & Mary instilled the importance of hard work and dedication in their family. Now, third-generation owner Bill Hricovec, a culinary graduate of Johnson & Wales, along with our team, integrates traditional family recipes with a mix of new and innovative menu selections to offer you a wide variety of choices.

Venue 81 Eleven is our newest exclusive venue located in the heart of Brecksville, Ohio. We have a triad of facilities for use. The Main Hall can accomodate up to 300 guests. The stunning Ariel Pearl Center, a hidden jewel in the heart of Old Brooklyn! Located in a beautiful historic 1923 bank building, it features marble columns and floors, bank vaults, stone walls, large arched windows under an intricate decorative plaster work ceiling with magnificent crystal chandeliers. This stunning historic building was built in 1923 as the Pearl Street Savings & Trust Bank, which was designed by the famous architects Hubbell and Benes, who also designed the Cleveland Museum of Art, West Side Market, City Club, Masonic Temple and other famous historic buildings. The first floor of the Ariel Pearl Center has been converted to a beautiful event center which includes the Grand Hall with Rotunda and Vault, Cocktail Room, and Fireplace Room.

Five fun facts about the Lake Erie Building: 1. We were originally built to be Templar Motors back in 1917. There were less than 3,000 of these cars ever manufactured and if you look carefully, you may even be able to spot one while in the event space! 2. Omni Lakewood purchased the building in 2005 and now manages the building, which has been divided into individual suites that are home to over 100 businesses. 3. The west parking lot where our dock is located used to be a test track for Templar Motors. 4. We host only one event per weekend and give our clients access beginning on Wednesday so they can bring in all their personal touches! We also only require cards and gifts go with them that night and everything else can stay giving you more time to spend with your new spouse! 5. We include a private parking lot and have a huge municipal lot across the street that's available to guests. (If you know of Lakewood, you know parking is a hot commodity)
