I started photographing weddings in 2003 and eventually left my day job as a graphic designer to do photography full-time. In addition to photos, I create a few animated gifs from every session. My style is influenced by design principles, mid-century architecture, Edward Hopper paintings, plus films by Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson. I try to put as much attention into the surroundings or architecture as the subjects. I prefer to cover events solo and manage my own editing, posting teasers the next day. I’m based in the Detroit area but cover weddings all over America.

I aim to professionally document the wonders of your celebration in a way that feels easy, relaxed, and enjoyable for you. My creative background provides a unique aspect to my photography. It combines high-quality and top-of-the-range equipment with an individual perspective.

Photography has been a strong passion for both myself and my husband, Doug, for many years! In fact we bonded and fell in love over our shared love of photography (as well as our artistic backgrounds, love of camping and hiking, and our desire to go on many adventures! ). We truly love working together and balance each other perfectly. It's an amazing feeling to get to know other couples and to be with them on one of the most amazing, most joyous day of their lives. There's a certain magical electricity in the air as two families come together to witness and celebrate the love of two people!

Since I was a kid photography was like a hobby. I think I can call it more than a hobby it was more like a passion. I started to realize I could tell the stories I had in me, but I also understood how to capture the stories around me, the small things that happen every day. I know the story is there, all the beauty and drama, all the characters and the details. It will be beautiful, people will be relaxed with me around, I don’t have to tell them what to do. I watch the story unveil and try to capture every bit of it. I’ve learned to listen to the stories presented to me. I’m not there to tell mine. I’m there to tell yours.
