    Seriously the best, hire her!

    Sam captured our day perfectly. She was able to photograph details, candid moments, and the emotions of the day. We also got film as well which turned out absolutely gorgeous and the perfect vibe we were looking for. She was also SO FAST. She got us a sneak peak of several photos the NEXT DAY and then all of the rest of our 1,200 photos only 20 days later. Beyond impressed.

    She's the Best of the Best!

    Samantha did such an amazing job with our wedding photography. My wife hunted around for the perfect photographer for a few months, as the pictures were very important to her and she wanted to make sure she found the right person with the right style. From the first time we met Samantha in Detroit to do our engagement photos, we felt comfortable with her. She was professional, friendly, and helped us feel at ease during the process. Most importantly, she made it fun! She was an excellent communicator, flexible, and during our wedding, she did a truly amazing job of capturing all the most important moments. She did an excellent job helping us balance our time between everything and sneaking away for a short photo shoot, and made sure to capture us with all of our family, etc. The candid moments she captured were amazing. We shared the album Samantha sent us with our guests through our thank you cards, and we had a ton of people tell us the photos were amazing and asked who did our photos! We sent many people photos as gifts for Christmas this year. On top of all that, Samantha sent us this really sweet and very cool gift of a golden glass photo frame filled with pictures and an ornate wooden box filled with decorative moss with a slide-out plexiglass front with our names on it, and a matching usb drive with all of our photos. Our wedding was very woodsy, and the gift was very thoughtfully matching of the whole thing. Samantha, thank you for your time and energy in helping us make our wedding day so special, and for capturing it for us to remember for a lifetime. My wife and I absolutely recommend her to anyone with our highest regards. Take care!

    Worth every penny!

    We used Sam for our wedding in July of 2023, as well as our engagement photos. She was everything I could’ve imagined and more. She was super fun and easy to work with. We received our photos in a very timely manner and loved how she was able to capture our personalities so effortlessly. Her eye for picturesque moments and style are top tier. I would (and have) recommended her to anyone looking for a romantic, moody, retro, candid vibe!

    The Perfect Photographer For The Perfect Wedding

    Sam photographed my Mexico destination wedding and I absolutely couldn’t be happier. Not only did she capture every intimate and beautiful moment, but she also brought a fun and relaxed energy to what could have otherwise been stressful family management. Her style is elegant and fanciful in a way that makes me feel like I’m living in that memory every time I flip through our wedding album. I couldn’t recommend her enough and only wish I had more events to drag her across the globe for!

I shoot “lifestyle” photography. What this means is you get the best of both worlds. The photos are led by you & what occurs naturally. Some of the most memorable moments are often those that occur naturally with raw emotion. Additionally, I will give you prompts during those “let’s look like rockstars” moments. See - best of both: all of the realness is captured & all of that “I’m a badass” gets captured.
I check in with you in the months leading up to the big day to ensure you aren’t pulling your hair out. But if you are, deep breaths we will get through it. I’ve been a bride too & I can guarantee you I did not have my ish together. The questionnaire I will send out after this will be a big help to both of us. Why? Because it will help you know what type of planning is needed for the best out of your photography. From there I will deliver you a custom wedding day photography timeline. Additionally, I will happily work with & consult with your wedding planner/coordinator.
I pour my little soul into making sure each photo is perfect for you. Seriously, in a wedding gallery of 1000+ images I individually edit EVERY SINGLE PHOTO. Perfectionist over here. My hubby laughs when I spend 20 min on one photo making sure the color balance is perf. That being said, my style hits a mark between both moody/warm & natural to the lighting. I do this to mimic as if I shot the images on film. Additionally, I do not do any body modifications or excessive edits to your appearance. A blemish here & there sure, but it’s not in my MO to edit body image.
Delivery time always depends on where the session lands on the calendar. Portraits/Engagements usually take 2-4 weeks. Weddings can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks. That being said, I alway deliver a sneak peek so you won’t be left hanging too long!
Although my package costs include travel only to Metro Detroit, I will travel outside of this area. Travel cost is quoted per location. Have a place in mind? Definitely inquire!
Yes, I love to shoot on film! It has its own special sort of vibe separate to the digital images we capture. That being said this comes at an add on cost due to materials, development, & added time for scanning. So worth it though. Definitely inquire if you are interested! If you are curious, I typically shoot color Medium Format film on my Hasselblad 501CM.
