“My partner and I reached out to Xiao for an elopement photo shoot after we got our marriage license. Xiao is always prompt in her responses and offered seamless communication. As newbies, we were a bit confused about the steps on how to get the license, although it was not her job, Xiao gave us many tips. Our elopement photoshoot date was a bit rainy. Xiao offered a few indoor photoshoot spot options. We ultimately went with the Library of Congress, and Xiao even helped us reserve the tickets. Xiao instructed us on how to pose when we felt a bit awkward. We had so many random funny encounters with other visitors at Library of Congress and they gave us many compliments. Xiao went above and beyond to mark sure the day was special for us and that the photoshoot felt personal and fun. My partner is usually camera shy but he eventually opened up. The photos also turned around super quick. The photos came out beautiful although it was a gloomy day. We picked out a dozen photos of our choice two days after the photoshoot and Xiao made the edits turn around super smoothly. Highly recommend booking her to make your special day memorable as well!”

Any time i look at our photos, i find myself involuntarily smiling. She captured the classic posed photos AND the precious in-between moments where people are being their most authentic selves (the face my dad makes when he's really intently listening, the hand gestures my mom uses when she's explaining something and can't find the right words, the face my mother in law makes when she's cracking herself up, the face my father in law makes right before the tears fall, and so so many more). Not ONLY are her photos amazing, but she made us feel so relaxed on the day-of. Her style is totally unobtrusive, which is just what we needed.
