“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. “Just let me START by saying, I am a true customer who hired DJ Jeremy B for my daughter's wedding at Walnut Hall Estate in Carrollton, IL on November 16, 2024. Not a friend, not a relative, just a mom hiring a DJ. I have not been paid in any way for this review... it is 100% our honest experience. My daughter had been to a prior wedding at that venue and loved how Jeremy kept the guests dancing so he was unanimously their choice! Forward to the planning stages... my future son-in-law is a fan of Marvel and DC Comics, particularly Batman. My daughter had an idea of playing "The Batman" by Michael Giacchino for her wedding march and even chose a wedding dress that had a cape to give it a classy "Gotham" vibe. The programs were Newspaper "Breaking News" announcements also with a Gotham vibe. DJ Jeremy took that idea and CREATED a remix for the wedding march. I knew nothing of this until my daughter called and said, "MOM!!! You have to hear this... the DJ created my walk-in song and it is PERFECT! I cried it was so perfect!". She drove to our house so we could listen to it on her phone... OMG AHMAZING! The evening of the wedding, the ceremony started and after the attendants (all 8 sets) walked in, the doors shut... then a quiet drum build up to the doors swinging open to this big boom of a climax of the remix with my husband and myself walking her down the aisle. I WAS SO MOVED and it was SO PERFECT... I just can't even tell you. Jeremy is SO VERY TALENTED... he KNOWS the "feel" you're going for and NAILS it! Not to mention he's got this handlebar moustache that is just edgy and super cool. Our Groomsmen were commenting, "I want that stache!" You want the BEST DJ?... hire Jeremy! You will NOT be sorry...and if you do...ask to hear that song!! It is just crazy good.”

“I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

We gave him a list of songs we 100% wanted played (they were all over the place in genre, beat and tempo) and he made them all fit in perfectly! We also gave him songs that we did not want played which were not! Almost everyone at my wedding was on the dance floor because of the fun exciting atmosphere he made! He has multiple different packages you can choose from and you can also add things to your package if you don’t see it on the one you like!
