“So first off, the first things I asked her were; are you LGBT friendly, can you handle my anxiety, and can you photograph fat people?? Her answer was yes to all....and she exceeded my expectations. I do not talk much nor do I speak my mind ever, but I felt immediately comfortable with Taylor the second I saw her. Prior to that actually because we had texted a lot. She’s very hands-on. I booked her almost a year ago it feels like, but because of covid and other things out of our control we had to reschedule multiple times. Taylor was SO accommodating every single time. She never seemed bothered by us even though I guarantee she had to be. We are a hot mess! We changed the location multiple times, including TWO DAYS before the ceremony, I was late to my own elopement and on the way there my daughter spilled make up all over her clothes so we had to turn around for an outfit change!! Taylor was so kind and friendly. We told her in the beginning that mine and my wife’s height difference was an insecurity of ours and she made the angles work to where we didn’t look that far off at all. I’m telling you this, I have never been confident at all, I have never even liked the pictures other photographers have taken of me.....I cried when I saw Taylor’s pictures. I felt so beautiful and worthy of good photos!! I HIGHLY recommend her and will forever cherish everything she’s done. I was so uneasy about picking a photographer, it was so stressful because I’m from out of state and I knew nothing about Colorado or anything. “My husband and I were very happy to find photography in our budget through Yellow Paddle. I didn’t really interact with the company at all, but Mark and Santana were both excellent. Our primary photographer was Mark Whitrock. He did our engagement photos and our wedding. He suggested a beautiful location for our engagement photos and they turned out great. He used both film and digital which was not something we had an opinion on, but we really loved how the film ones turned out. Mark had good suggestions for posing and was also happy to try out our ideas. He was easy to get a hold of over text as well as having a phone call with us right before the wedding to make sure we were on the same page. I didn’t communicate with him directly before the wedding, but he was timely, easy to work with, and brought some of his own ideas which we appreciated. He caught detail shots at both the ceremony and the reception I hadn’t thought to ask for. Dancing was a big and important part of our reception and he did an amazing job capturing crisp, beautiful photos of people in motion in dimmer lighting. We had a panicked moment the night before where we realized we wanted the ceremony to be recorded (not edited or anything special, just captured) and Mark and Santana made it happen for us which was truly above and beyond their jobs and meant a lot to us.”

On our wedding day, she was a pro at wrangling our family for photos and made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Ivy's work is truly timeless, fun, beautiful and playful - she absolutely nailed it! We have pictures swinging on the swings and skipping through the grass and elegant photos under the trees and in front of an old church. She was even happy to help with little tasks like making sure my bouquet was arranged how I wanted it and making sure my dress looked perfect. “We cannot say enough positive things about Amy! She is not only an amazing photographer and artist, but also an absolute gem of a person. She did our engagement and wedding photos, and we loved every second of working with her. We were planning everything from out of state, which can be a challenge, but she made it easy and stress-free. Amy was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process, and you could tell she was genuinely excited to be working with us and be a part of our special day. Our first time meeting her in person was during our engagement photo session and we instantly felt comfortable with her. As for the pictures, we absolutely loved them! They exceeded all expectations, and we cannot stop looking at them. Our jaws dropped with each one when looking at them for the first time. Her skills are incredible, and we could not believe the pictures were ours. She has a special eye for getting the perfect angle, backdrop, lighting, etc. She also gets a good mixture of the typical posed pictures, but also capturing raw emotions.
