No matter what kind of coverage you ask for, I'm going to find a way to tell your wedding story uniquely and authentically. All the moments, All the feels. Hi, I'm Cody, and once I discovered how much fun and how creative wedding photography could be, I decided to focus exclusively on weddings. Listening to what couples tell me what they want and need, I've developed packages tailored to fit any budget and wedding vision you might have, whether it is highly curated and specific, or the light touch approach. And your budget doesn't determine my effort. You won't find a harder-working photographer. Couples have also taught me that some prefer the immersive approach where we really get to know each other, while others want it to be a simple and easy process. That's why I give couples the choice of an easy, online booking process where you can check availability and reserve your date for 48 hours before you confirm it with a deposit.

    Cody is absolutely STELLAR!!!

    Blackcap Photography with Cody was one of THE greatest decisions made for our wedding last Fall! Cody is legitimately a one man army when it comes to his craft cause he does everything himself, makes it magical and LOVES what he does! From the very start my husband and I knew he was going to be something special, because his first desire was to get to really KNOW US. We sat over coffee and talked about our lives, what led us to this point, what our passions were, what his passions were, and much much more. He was upfront, honest and 1000% invested with the craft he's honed over all these years. He's GENUINE and it showed with every interaction we shared with him. He wanted to meet our families, be a part of everything leading up to our big day and I was SO glad he was a part of our journey. Wedding day - he captured every moment that TRULY mattered. From posed to candid every image comes alive when we look back at them. They are absolutely gorgeous! Cody also came up with great ideas for photo ops with our wedding party and guests which they will never forget! Cody became our photographer and friend for a short time but his work will last a lifetime and be cherished. You will not go wrong with this man as he really is the whole package and more!     Highly highly recommend!

    Where do we even begin? Cody was so much more than just a photographer—he was also our wedding planner, logistics wizard, and all-around superhero. He played such a vital role in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. We had been working with Cody for quite a while, originally planning a big wedding. Then life gave us the best surprise—my wife got pregnant! With that exciting news, we decided a traditional wedding might not be the best fit anymore. That’s when Cody suggested a micro wedding in Aspen, CO at the Maroon Bells Amphitheater—and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. From that point on, Cody didn’t just help us adjust—he took the lead. As both our photographer and wedding planner, he helped us reimagine the entire day. His communication and responsiveness were amazing, and his professionalism made everyone feel completely comfortable. He came to our dinner the night before, got to know all our guests, and walked everyone through the plan for the big day—like a true pro. He also did an insane amount of behind-the-scenes work: researching the Aspen area (which we had never been to), scouting out reception spots (we ended up loving Venga Venga), and even arranging for flowers to be delivered. Yes, he found the flowers. Cody handled everything—and did it all with genuine care and enthusiasm. And the photos? They’re stunning. Every shot is full of life and emotion. He perfectly captured our joy, our love, and the beauty of that incredible mountain backdrop. We would recommend Cody to absolutely anyone—whether you’re planning a big celebration or an intimate ceremony, you couldn’t be in better hands. He’s incredibly talented, endlessly helpful, and just an awesome person to have by your side on one of the most important days of your life. Thank you, Cody.
