“If anyone were to ask me what my favorite part of my wedding was I’d have to say “Black Walnut Farm!” What a remarkable experience it has been to work with Sarah, Jim, Lish, Lindsey, and of course, Miss Lilly! My partner and I didn’t even bother viewing another venue because we could instantly feel how special the BWF property was — we called 30 minutes after our tour and said we were ready for the contract and deposit. Even still Black Walnut Farm far exceeded our expectations! Everything about this venue is so thoughtfully curated and managed. There is just so much care and consideration that has gone into every inch of this very special place! My partner and I decided to have a “honeymoon” week during the week of the wedding; we chose to have the extended package where we stayed on the property just the two of us. Unwinding in front of the fireplace while playing chess and drinking wine was such a lovely way to relax the night before. The sunroom is the perfect place for getting ready the morning of the wedding! After our wedding (in lieu of an after party) we just asked to have the hot tub ready for us, which was the best move ever! Most importantly, the BWF team were so kind and patient, cool and collected. In the face of some extreme family drama and chaotic spring weather they always rolled with the punches. I felt that I could trust them fully and always felt safe and cared for. I was not afraid to defer to their expertise in the midst of the chaos, and I do not regret any of those decisions! In fact, the backup rain plan ended up being better than the original plan! Thank you again, Black Walnut Farm. You have created something so very, very special and we will be eternally grateful!”

“I am still riding the high from my wedding hosted at Skyview Golf Club and I can't say enough great thing. If you're planning a wedding this is your venue. Not only is it one of the more affordable wedding venues in North Jersey, the staff and specifically coordinator Hildegard Power, are incredible at what they do. Hildegard walked me through the entire planning process, maintained the excitement and quickly answered all of questions (no matter how repetitive or the hour). The venue itself, without any additional decor, is stunning. Modern, open layout that accentuate the natural scenery. The bartenders were incredible, my guests are still asking me for recipes from our signature drinks (house cocktails suggested an made by Skyview) and the food was delicious. Hildegard ensured we actually got to eat on our wedding day, enjoy our choices and savor each moment and bite. The options for food, both cocktail hour and dinner are extraordinary--it became my husband and I's favorite date night activity to try to narrow down our favorite menu items. Eating them all on the big day was icing on the cake. I had a very specific vision for my wedding and Hildegard worked with me and my family to bring it to life, from decor drop-off and organization to final touches and last minute changes on the big day. More than anything, the most worthwhile and best thing I got from Skyview was reassurance and peace of mind. As a bride, there are a million decisions you have to make and even more things that will creep into your mind to worry you. I was never once worried that something may go wrong or fall through at Skyview. Hildegard built a strong foundation of trust and communication with us that truly made the big day everything I hoped. “Our wedding at the Bird and Bottle Inn was better than I could have imagined. Stefania was a dream to work with. She was quick to answer questions, no matter how big or small. She was upfront in her communication. She was totally grounding and easy to talk to, especially on the day. But most of all, she made us feel like our day was important and special. The food was 10/10. Guests are still talking about our food four months later. Everything was delicious and HOT! It was remarkable that each plate had hot food that had to come from the kitchen to the tent. It felt like a seated meal at a 5 star restaurant. All food allergies were taken into account. People with allergies were still able to have a delicious meal where they didn't have to worry. I cannot say enough kind words about the staff. They were passionate about good service. Each table remarked on how kind, professional, and knowledgeable their waiter was. Like Stefania, they made us feel like our day was special and unique, not just another event they were working. The grounds and rooms are stunning and comfortable. It rained on our day and staff were able to quickly turn around and make sure our ceremony in the tent was beautiful. We didn't even care that it rained because the ceremony was still wonderful. Perhaps the highest compliment is that our guests are recommending the Bird and Bottle to their friends for their wedding. I can't say enough good things about this venue.
