I first discovered Wedgewood Weddings while researching all inclusive venues in New England. I was surprised and delighted to see that they had their package pricing available on the website, the transparency and openness was an immediate green flag (and why I think the one star review here is completely unwarranted). You are able to price out your wedding with them before even walking through their doors, which is exactly what we did. We quickly reached out to schedule a tour! We were greeted warmly and shown the beautiful grounds at Fern Hill before talking about what package we would most be interested in. We chose the Premier Package, but everything is completely customizable within that. We left the tour with a copy of exactly what our wedding would cost and it didn’t take us long to decide that we wanted to move forward with Fern Hill. The all inclusivity of the venue is what puts Wedgewood over the top for excellence for us. In all my research, I couldn’t find any other venue that came ANYWHERE close to how all inclusive Wedgewood is. As a couple that has a hard time choosing what to have for dinner every night, we needed ease when it came to wedding planning. With Wedgewood we didn’t have to worry about finding a DJ, florist, caterer, or bakery. Beautiful invitation options are included, and the ones we chose allowed us to also add on extra decor and programs on top of that. They provided a lot of smaller decor necessities that saved us money and time (easels for signage, cake cutting utensils, baskets and boxes). The Bliss Benefits that are offered also saved us money on other expenses outside of what was already included. The best part is that your final cost is based off of your guest count, which can be changed up to 10 days before your wedding. When we had last minute declines, we were able to lower our final cost by hundreds of dollars. When we had another few declines happen after the 10 day mark, we were able to put that money towards adding lawn games on to our package. No money went to waste. Throughout the planning process, the team at Fern Hill answered any and all questions we had (no matter how small or seemingly silly). We were able to visit the venue multiple times through the year to be able to show our parents. When we decided to have a completely dry wedding, they were so excited for our signature mocktail ideas and helped us make that still fun and engaging for our guests. Rehearsal day could not have gone smoother. The entire team at Fern Hill are efficient, communicative, and just overall so good at their jobs. Wedding day was even better. We felt so taken care of and supported by the staff. The flow of the event was seamless, even when the schedule needed to shift for extra photo time. We received so many compliments on every aspect of the wedding; from the gorgeous ceremony space, the delicious food, the beautiful centerpieces, to how warm and kind the event staff was. We literally have zero complaints. We would highly recommend Fern Hill Barn, or any of the New England Wedgewood venues to anyone getting married. It was a completely stress free experience and has so much customization while still being all inclusive. We’re looking forward to being guests at a Wedgewood wedding in Colorado next year for one of my bridesmaids!

From our first conversation with the team at Harrington Farm, we knew they understood our vision without us having to spell everything out. They took our ideas and ran with them, creating the dream wedding we'd imagined but couldn't quite articulate on our own. What impressed us most was how they handled every detail under one roof—from the beautiful grounds to the catering to the decor—which made the whole planning process feel simple. The venue itself has this charming, natural elegance that felt perfect for our spring celebration, and honestly, it didn't need much help from us to look stunning. The staff was responsive and independent in their thinking, which meant they came to us with solutions instead of endless questions. We couldn't have asked for a better partner in bringing our day to life, and we'd recommend Harrington Farm to any couple looking for a venue that truly gets it.

We had the most perfect wedding day at the Herb Lyceum. When we got engaged we knew we wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding and struggled to find a venue that welcomed smaller events. I came across The Herb Lyceum on Instagram and knew that this was the space for us. We held our wedding in the sunken garden, cocktail hour on the lawn and dinner in the greenhouse. The space was magical. They have a beautiful bar and cocktail hour set up. The greenhouse was exactly how we envisioned our day to look like. We received several comments that our wedding had the best food and cocktails of any wedding guests had been to. We are so grateful to the Herb Lyceum team for making our day so special. Tavis was so helpful, responsive, organized and calm during the process, she made planning the event so easy. I couldn't recommend the Herb Lyceum enough, it really is a special place. My husband and I were married at Salem’s this weekend and I wouldn’t change a thing about the day or the entire planning process! Honestly, I didn’t know anything about planning a wedding but Donna and Martha took care of everything I needed and even the things I didn’t know I needed. Through out planning communication was clear and timely. Donna answered all my questions and accommodated any changes (even last minute) without batting an eye. Salems has great relationships with local venders and their ability to collaborate made it all the more seamless. On the day of my family and I chose to get ready at Salem’s; we had a comfy suite and they served us a delicious sit down lunch with salads and mimosas in a private dining space. When a couple of little girls showed up as a surprise the kitchen staff even made them their own macaroni and cheese plates! The ceremony space and overall landscaping was perfect with flowers and fresh cut grass. Our guests loved taking photos on the beautiful grounds and our professional photos look like they are straight out of a fairy tale. At the reception everyone raved about the delicious prime rib dinner and strawberry short cake. The serving staff and bartenders were fun, personable, professional, attentive and really seemed invested in making my family’s day perfect. If I could do my wedding day again I would absolutely choose this venue.

My wife & I had the privilege to get married surrounded by our friends & family at the beautiful Montague Retreat Center in June of 2024. There’s a seemingly endless list of what drew us to MRC, but some key features to highlight: - Incredibly beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces - Comfortable, spacious, and accessible on-site lodging options - Flexible weekend buyout, enabling us to bring all of our ideas to life without much restriction or hurdles - Wheelhouse Catering: some of the best wedding food we’ve ever tasted in our lives - All of Montague staff, especially Jason Jason deserves his own dedicated review, but from the planning stages all the way through until the end of our weekend, Jason made himself available and ready to help. Jason referred several our vendors that made our day go off without a hitch, all of whom brought creative and personal touches that made our day so special. He consistently went above and beyond day of as well, from catching decorations that needed to be put out, to being hands-on assisting guests that needed extra help, and facilitating vendors to ensure everything was in its right place. His knowledge and general presence brought a calming energy that really helped us feel at home at MRC. For our wedding weekend (170 guests), we really took advantage of all we could at MRC. We observed first hand and heard from guests after our wedding that they felt they had plenty of space to enjoy themselves comfortably through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. With the full weekend rented, we used every square inch that the venue offered: - Friday: Portable Brick Oven Pizza in front of the Great Hall - Saturday AM: family provided breakfast buffet near the dining tent - Ceremony: Outdoor up on the ceremony ring - Cocktail Hour: Custom Poetry and plenty of activities all around the barn - Reception: Live band with stage lighting & sound; DJ later in the evening - Saturday Night: Late night fire pit & snacks for the wedding party - Sunday AM: Bagel sandwiches from Tandem Bagel in the lower level of the barn We can’t stress enough how perfect our weekend was at MRC. Montague Retreat Center will always hold a special place in our hearts, as it left a lasting impact on not only us, but our friends and family as well. At the end of our wedding weekend, many of our family members suggested that we rent out the space for a night every few years for a recurring big family bash. We may have to do just that!

We could not have asked for a better wedding venue—or a better coordinator—than what we found here. From the very beginning, Alyson was an absolute dream to work with. She made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free, always kind, composed, and incredibly helpful. Even with the usual wedding chaos and a forecast that turned into torrential rain, Alyson never once lost her cool. She handled everything with grace and calm, and we genuinely feel like we hit the jackpot having her by our side. Thanks to her, the day came together perfectly. She played a huge part in creating what truly was the best day of our lives. The barn itself is stunning, and even though the weather didn’t cooperate, the venue’s gorgeous new pavilion gave us a beautiful backup plan that kept everything feeling magical and cozy. Our guests loved it, and we were so relieved to know we were in such good hands. Also, the dinner was delicious—we received so many compliments on the food. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and we’re still glowing from the experience. If you’re looking for a venue with heart, beauty, and someone as amazing as Alyson to help bring your day to life, this is it.

When we first moved to Brattleboro back in 2023, the Retreat Farm was one of the first places we visited. Not only is the mission of nonprofit phenomenal, the organization hosts events that bring community together and folks closer to nature. When deciding on our wedding venue a year later, the Retreat Farm was one of our top choices. At the time, the North Barn was being renovated and had not yet been finished, but even then we saw the vision. I also think it is important to mention, as a queer couple, we received nothing but respect throughout the entire process. From the beginning, everyone we worked with from signing the contracts to planning the actual wedding, we received enthusiasm for our less than traditional wedding (Gothic Victorian/Halloween themed). Retreat Farm from the beginning was exceptional! I cannot reiterate enough how kind everyone was to work with. Working with Samantha as the venue coordinator was a breeze. She was accommodating, fun, and well organized. She answered every question, no matter how little. Planning a wedding is no easy task, but every step of the way, Samantha and the Retreat Farm staff were there. Franklin and the staff day of were also all so accommodating and there to help address any last minute hiccup! Everyone was also so fun and inviting to all of our guests dressed up in their costumes. We had an outdoor ceremony on Outlook Meadow and I know the work that would've gone into hauling the arbor, chairs, and sound system up that hill, but they did what they could to make our day PERFECT! We had our reception in the North Barn and even with spending time in the space before, I could not have imagined how perfect it was with all of our decor! The wood beams, tables, and lights balanced perfectly with our elegant Victorian and silly Halloween decor! No matter what style wedding you're looking for, the Retreat Farm will help you make it happen in the most beautiful spaces! If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Scott Farm Orchard

Dummerston, VT

  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,500

The 571-acre Scott Farm, a The Landmark Trust USA property, is home to 130 varieties of ecologically-grown heirloom apples and other fine fruits, a seasonal Farm Market, and the Apple Barn Event Center. All 23 buildings on the property are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A popular wedding venue, the farm is surrounded by four authentically-restored historic year-round vacation rental properties accommodating up to 22 guests—one of which is Rudyard Kipling’s Naulakha where he penned the Jungle Book. The Stone Trust Education Center, located in the 1862 Barn, showcases beautiful, unique dry-stone wall installations around the property. The Apple Barn accommodates up to 120 guests, has a commercial kitchen, three restrooms, one is wheelchair accessible. Overlooking the farm and mountains, a delightful spot for special occasions, rehearsal dinners, and wedding receptions. Exchange vows in the Courtyard or by a pond overlooking the apple orchard and stonewalls.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Natural elegance with open spaces
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • No on-site bridal suite
  • No in-house catering options
  • Does not provide event staff
My husband and I visited Scott Farm on two occasions before our June 2025 wedding and will continue to treasure it as a destination. The staff, especially Suzanne Tessitore, are absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to help us produce the (slightly alternative) wedding of our dreams. Our 80 guests could comfortably gather in the Apple Barn, by the brook, and at Naulakha for our send-off brunch the morning after. The natural beauty and calm of Dummerston combined with the beautiful, quirky features of the property like the stone walls and cafe bar really made the whole event feel like an escape from reality. We were able to rent all the houses on the property for ourselves and our immediate families, which was a great way to spend lots of time together (and have help close by on set-up day!). It was personally meaningful to me as a native Vermonter to share this state with our people, especially at a venue that encapsulates so many of the values and features that I love about it. I could go on and on! Some more key points: - We were a very (very) DIY couple and appreciated the control we were given for space usage, setup, and flow of the day -- we did not need a lot of hand-holding and we never felt like we were being "managed" - I have a family member who uses a wheelchair and he was able to get around the Apple Barn and surrounding grounds just fine - We ordered apple cider doughnuts from the farm as part of our wedding dessert and they were A - The vendors that Scott Farm suggested to us were all great, and as someone easily overwhelmed by decision fatigue I appreciated that in this relatively remote area there weren't too many options - Many of our guests were LGBTQIA and (not surprisingly for Vermont) were very comfortable - My father in law wanted to bake sourdough bread for our welcome dinner and Suzanne brought us her personal dutch oven for him to use!?! I would recommend Scott Farm as a venue for anyone looking for a naturally beautiful, simple venue highlighting the Vermont landscape and local food economy. We will treasure these memories forever.

My now husband and I had an amazing experience at Stonebridge! The venue is beautiful and Halley was wonderful. Very friendly, wicked quick with communication, and super thoughtful. She help me pick out colors and center pieces (which were perfect!) , that was really helpful and took all that stress off me. We had a pretty small wedding, about 20 people, and everyone had an amazing time. The staff was very professional and friendly. The chef was helpful and understanding of a couple of our picky eaters, both him and Halley worked with us to make sure everyone had something to eat that they like. Speaking of food, the food was awesome, even my husbands Italian grandfather loved it! I wouldn't have changed anything about that day 10/10 would recommend.

Gloriosa & Co.at the Curtis House
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
Ashfield, MA
  • Up to 140 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $18,600

We plan, arrange, and cater events—weddings, bat and bar mitzvahs, showers, reunions, small gatherings, memorial services or anything you can think of, indoors or outdoors. We host events here at the Curtis House, our 1850s Dutch Colonial. The summer home of George William Curtis, then the editor of Harpers Weekly. It’s a charming, sprawling old house that abuts the town green. During warmer months events take place in our gardens and the fully restored late 19th century barn. Whatever you imagine for your event, we're here to help you realize your dreams. We'll help you every step of the way, from planning and budgeting to coordinating the day. We open our home to you and take away all the stress of planning your dream day. We want to make your day about who you are.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Unique barn setting
  • Exudes old-world charm
  • Has a relaxed and casual vibe

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
I cannot speak highly enough about our experience hosting our wedding at The Curtis House by Gloriosa & Co. My husband and I got married a couple of weeks ago (September 2024) and our wedding was truly one the happiest, best days of our lives thanks to the love and personalization that Gloria and Emma put into planning and executing our day. We were drawn to so many things about the venue, including the charming setting of Ashfield, the rustic but modernized aesthetic of the barn, the beautiful gardens and greenhouse, and the house being an available space to get ready. We were also drawn to the convenience and uniqueness of being able to provide our floral arrangements from Gloria’s greenhouse and gardens on-site, and having all of the food and beverages taken care of through the venue’s catering and bar team. But what made us decide to book this venue for our special day was the attention that Gloria and Emma give each couple. This venue is not your typical wedding factory that puts on weddings multiple times a week, every week of the year; Gloria and Emma host between 12-15 weddings per year and consequently each couple they work with gets full access to the venue the weekend of their wedding and so much guidance during the planning process. We were able to cultivate a vegetarian menu consisting of so many of our favorite foods plus a number of signature dishes of the venue, such as a butternut squash galette that was a crowd favorite. Sustainability is also incredibly important to us as a couple, and Gloria and Emma are committed to sourcing only local, seasonal ingredients for the food and florals and minimizing waste, which meant so much to us. In terms of decor and furnishings, the venue has so much available for couples to use, such as tables, chairs, ceremony benches, several wedding arches to choose from, displays for food or guest favors, tableware, candles, string lights, and more. We did not have to rent or coordinate anything other than the few DIY projects we made, which Gloria and Emma effortlessly integrated into the set up for us. Being able to take care of practically everything through Gloria and Emma made planning so much simpler. On the wedding day, Gloria, Emma, and their team handled the venue set up in a few hours, which happened like a choreographed dance that required practically no work from us or our wedding parties other than providing input and approval along the way. Everything went extremely smoothly and we were able to be fully present. After our ceremony, my husband and I returned to the house, where Gloria had set up champagne and a spread of our hors d'oeuvres for us to enjoy over a few minutes of privacy, which is something she had recommended we do as we took in the moment together. Our guests have had nothing but positive things to say about our wedding and it was clear the day of how much fun everyone had. We have received so many compliments about how beautiful and authentic the venue was, how exquisite Gloria’s floral arrangements were, how delicious all of the food was (even the heavy meat-eaters loved the vegetarian menu), and how this will be a wedding they will always remember. Gloria made us feel like part of her family and we were so happy to be able to support her business. We truly could not have asked for a more memorable, personalized, loving, and beautiful wedding, and hope that many other couples have the pleasure of getting married at this special place.

Our country band was hired by Sarah at Zola for a series of musical performances during the summer of 2020. All communications were clear and concise. Payment for services was fair and prompt. As this was during the Covid pandemic, we had multiple conversations regarding the safety of both the performers and the guests and all of our concerns were taken very seriously. Sarah was a pleasure to work with and we hope to be able to work future events together

When Shane and Wayne Bernard (Co-owners of Pica’s Pub and Grill est. 1939) were presented with the opportunity to expand next door into the building formerly occupied by Laschi’s Garden Center they jumped at it. Featuring several of their fan favorite items from next door, quality Italian Deli Sandwiches and Gifford’s Premium Ice Cream. We absolutely loved having our wedding at Field to Fork Farm! The setting is so rustic and beautiful. It truly felt magical. The farm itself provided the most incredible backdrop for photos. Every corner was stunning and full of character. The farm animals were such a special touch and the kids loved them, which made the day even more fun and memorable for everyone. As people who believe in environmental stewardship, the ability to use our wedding as an opportunity to support a working organic farm and small local family business was an important factor in our decision to work with Field to Fork as well. Patrick and Daniela were amazing hosts from start to finish. They were so welcoming, kind, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process, which made everything feel stress-free leading up to the big day. They went above and beyond to help where they could, from coordinating with our tent and restroom vendors when we could not be there to meet them for drop offs, to starting and tending the bonfire, to letting us use their microwave! When we realized at the last minute we forgot my bouquet, Patrick even let my maid of honor pick flowers that had bloomed on the property which was even more meaningful than getting it from a florist. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or better people to work with. If you’re looking for a warm, beautiful farm setting for your wedding, Field to Fork Farm is truly something special!

I hosted my daughter's Bridal Shower Tea Party at the Proctor Mansion Inn this past Saturday May 31, 2025. I could not have had it at a more appropriate venue, it was absolutely perfect! Every single guest could not get over how beautiful and elegant the Mansion is- the decor and architecture are gorgeous. Michelle and her staff were fabulous. Michelle helped me plan the shower every step of the way, she answered every question I had, offered suggestions to me because she knew this was my first bridal shower, and she went above and beyond to make sure every detail in decorating and service was perfect. Michelle assisted me in selecting the perfect caterer for our tea party, Chef Paul Streichert, owner of Gatherings by Chef Paul. Overall feedback from my guests: BEST Bridal Shower EVER! And it is all a credit to Michelle, her staff, Chef Paul, and the Proctor Mansion Inn.

782Wrentham was the perfect setting for our belated wedding reception. We had time to decorate and add personal touches on the morning of the event. My makeup artist (Gyna Paine) traveled to me and used the rental space as my bridal suite. The venue was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of seating and parking for 100 guests. For dinner, we all were seated under a large, well-lit tent. The vendors we hired (DJ/photo booth, dance floor, bar service, and catering) made for a unique event that wow-ed our family and friends. Set in a beautifully renovated and restored 100-year old barn overlooking rolling hills of conservation land, the Barn at Gibbet Hill is one of New England’s most unique venues for weddings and special events. The Barn offers rustic elegance with unparalleled views. The first wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill took place in 2002 when Jed and Asia’s fantastic outdoor wedding plans got rained out. Back then the Barn was completely unrenovated – hay bales were moved to the edge of the room and the tractor had to be parked outside so a makeshift wedding aisle could be made. After witnessing the undeniable magic of that day, the idea to transform the Barn into a permanent wedding venue began to take hold. Two years later, after a massive renovation of the Barn was completed, The Barn officially opened for business. And two years after that, CBS-4 crowned the Barn the best wedding venue in the Boston Area!
