Wedding videos are my favorite activity as a professional videographer - I love the "Heart" connection with all my wedding couples. Many couples remain part of my "Extended" family to this day, sending me pictures of their new family arrivals (baby pic's!), thank you notes and referrals to other friends and family members. My name is Mitchell Gaston, and I love telling stories. I began my filmmaking journey all the way back in middle school (which is further back than I care to admit), making silly videos with my friends. Somewhere along the line I got a chance to film a wedding, and I haven't looked back since. Meeting amazing couples and getting to tell their stories is, and continues to be, a dream come true.

We had the most epic wedding of all time (ask us about it!), but we didn't hire a videographer. And now this why we do what we do. It's the best feeling knowing each one of our couples will be able to relive their wedding day for the rest of their lives. We didn't have that, and now we get to give that to you!

My passion for photography & videography arose from watching my grandfather take pictures and videos. He would capture such beautiful images and I knew I had to do the same! I remember our yearly trips to Yellowstone National Park to take pictures eating my favorite huckleberry ice cream! I think in total i have seen 13 bear, and at least 1,000 elk! I live in downtown SLC in a tiny studio apartment and I love it! Spending time with my family, boyfriend, and doggo are super important to me! I love anything outdoors like hiking kayaking, and dirt bike riding. If i’m not editing I am probably reading a book and drinking wine!

Hoffland Films creates cinnematic wedding films ranging from 4 to 7 minutes in length. Each film is edited with as much storytelling audio from your wedding day as I can fit for your film to showcase you and your wedding day.

Growing up in a creative household, I studied a wide range of arts before settling on filmmaking. I envisioned in my head that I would be the next Spielberg, but after shooting my first wedding in 2013 all my plans changed.
