Lionlady Photography is a team of wedding photographers & videographers based in Seattle, Sun Valley, Boise, and destination. Led by Lynnsey Phillips, we specialize in photojournalistic and emotional imagery excelling in predicting moments and connecting on a deeper level with our clients.

Our style is a balance between aesthetics and the relationships we form with our couples. It's imperative that we get to know our couples. In order to capture the way you are together when a camera isn't around, you have to feel comfortable enough to open up those big ol' hearts of yours. When that happens, true emotion spills out, and damn if those images aren't the best. So let's skip the small talk and get to the good stuff.     Incredible Wedding Photographer!

    Throughout the entire wedding photography process - pre-wedding, day-of, and post-wedding - Lynnsey was an absolute joy to work with. Her thoughtfulness, thorough understanding and practice of her craft, and personable attitude allowed us to fully be present in the experience. Lynnsey swept in the morning of our wedding a bright energy, excited to be part of the day. We had a plan, a schedule to stick to, which we so appreciated. But at no point did we feel any part of our day was rushed. And her work does not disappoint! Lynnsey so beautifully captured such a special time, and we cannot thank her enough for helping us to feel like ourselves throughout the process.     Better than we could have dreamed!!

    We were fortunate enough to secure Lynnsey for our July wedding in Sun Valley, Idaho and this was the best thing we could have done. Lynnsey is kind, caring, and incredibly talented.     Exceptional talent

    If you are looking for a wedding photographer or considering Lynnsey - I just came here to say that she not only captured the most stunning and personal images from our wedding day (I can't believe they are ours and of us) but she brought the most calming yet in control demeanor to our day. She really is a special photographer - these pictures have the eye of someone who has known us our whole lives - not just the ones of us, but of our guests too- she captured the most beautiful yet fleeting moments of togetherness that bring me back to this day whenever I look at them. I'm so grateful to have that, what a special thing and that is what Lynnsey brings - she's exceptionally talented and I can't recommend her more highly. Worth also noting that in the months leading up to the wedding I was able to lean on Lynnsey for support with planning and logistics and she is incredibly professional and experienced and made the whole process very easy and I was incredibly grateful to have her as such an important part of this experience. I, personally, extended a bit more of my budget than I initially planned so that we could book Lynnsey and if you are in that same place, I'll just say that was incredibly worth it and I would make that choice again or pay more if that what was necessary because this work really is timeless and Lynnsey's expertise is worth it.

    Lynnsey is the best: warmth, authenticity, ease!

    Lynnsey was a delight to work with and we treasure our photos! Because of the pandemic, she actually shot two weddings for us with different locations and styles. She captured both beautifully. Seeing her work over two events gave us a real sense of her as an artist and her ability to convey the distinct feeling of each place and day. Candid, authentic shots were our top priority when choosing a photographer and in this regard Lynnsey truly can't be beat. I think this is a really important question to consider as a couple and to review sample portfolios with this in mind. Sure we love the shots where we feel fancy and beautiful, but the ones that capture my mom's funky laugh or a meaningful, messy embrace we return to most. Can't thank Lynnsey enough for helping us hold onto those moments!

Good question! There's A LOT of talent out there for you to choose from. But I believe that choosing a photographer goes much deeper than just liking someone's work or how they price themselves. Your photographer is the person you'll interact with most on your wedding day so it's super important you like them. I go to great lengths to get to know you and provide a stellar client experience.
More than you know what to do with, trust me! The average amount is at least 500 for shorter coverage and upwards of 1000 for full day. Note that I don't put a cap on the number of images you receive. If it's a good photo, I'll deliver it!
When booked for both photo & video, I remain the lead photographer and direct a team of visual artists on your wedding day. This is very similar to how movie sets operate. There is a director of photography that communicates the desired aesthetic and the team works from there. In your case, I’ll still have a camera in my hands all day, don’t worry! Plus, if you book both you’ll receive $500 off!
For the high season (April - October) I book 9 - 12 months in advance. But in some instances I've booked two years out! So the sooner the better to ensure I'm available for your date.
So much goes into setting pricing for weddings. Mine is based off of seven years of experience & my high level of customer service. In order to run a sustainable business while maintaining the strong relationships I have with my clients, the starting points above are what I’ve found to be most beneficial. Yes, you can find cheaper photographers but it’s likely they are just starting their careers.
Yes! All wedding photographers should have liability and gear insurance. If they don't, you're playing with fire! As for your photos, I dual record the images in-camera so if one card fails, I still have everything. After the wedding, your files get backed up to three different places, one of those being the cloud. I never clear the original cards until your photos are delivered.
To reserve your date, I require a signed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer. It's non-refundable because once you're booked I turn away all other couples inquiring for your date.
I strongly believe that if you want stellar imagery that you have a stellar team behind you. Just knowing that you have experts making your dreams come true will put you at so much ease. And when you’re to able to relax it shows in front of the camera. With every booking, I provide my list of A+ vendor recommendations that will provide the best style & customer service.
I understand that most people haven’t spent a ton of time in front of the camera. It can be nerve-wracking. Which is why I try to make the process as relaxed as possible. My approach is to pose to look unposed. I have prompts and actions to get your mind off the camera and more on each other. Of course, I’ll always make adjustments to find the most flattering angles.
I can process payment through eCheck, check, or cash. You can pay by credit card but a 3% fee will be added to your invoice.
For wedding photo, 6 - 8 weeks during high season (April - October) and 4 weeks for the rest of the year. Your images will be delivered in a downloadable online gallery. For video, at least 8 weeks as the workflow is more intensive. Your video and raw footage will be delivered via Dropbox.
I'm fully comfortable shooting alone unless there are specific circumstances. Those being 1) you're getting ready in different locations 2) you have more than 130 guests 3) you're not doing a first look 4) you want two different angles of important moments (first kiss, first look, etc.)
